Susi's Flowers

Called them on Tuesday 2/22/22 around 11am and asked if they had any red roses for that night I was going to propose. They told me no they were all out, but they said let them check with their grower and they would call me back within an hour. With in an hour they called me back and told me they can get it from their grower. I asked if they could have it at shadowbrook restaurant by 4pm and they said that would not be a problem.

When we got to the restaurant the most beautiful bouquet of red roses was waiting for my girlfriend. Susi's flower shop went out of their way to make a special day even more beautiful. It's been over a week now since I got the roses and it still looks very fresh. Thank you so much for everything. Oh and by the way she said YES.

If there were ten stars, I'd give them that. Wow. After trying a number of other florists in the area looking for a very particular kind of arrangement and being told it couldn't be done, I finally tried Susi's Flowers. I was lucky to get Debbie on the phone and explained to her what I wanted. Like other florists, she initially described why what I was asking for was challenging (out of season flowers) but unlike other florists, she then went into brainstorming mode.

Within moments, she'd come up with a solution that required her to go above-and-beyond a bit, but it perfectly addressed my need brilliantly. She asked if she could call me back in a few minutes to see if what she'd come up with was possible. 15 minutes later, not only did she call back, but she'd already worked out the necessary logistics to create the arrangement and have it delivered.

She took my information, wrote the card accompanying the flowers, and lined up same day delivery. Amazing. As a small business owner, I often rely on the creativity of florists all over the country to create unique thank-you gifts for clients and guests. Based on this extensive experience, I would say that Susi's Flowers--and Debbie in particular--is the best of the best.

Absolutely gorgeous flowers. I gave them completely artistic control over the last minute (literally called a day before the event) bridal bouquet and they knocked it out of the park. Wonderfully fragrant, beautiful colors, from the rich purple to the brilliant orange of a Monterey sunset with a bit of winter needle underlayer. This phone photo can not capture the beauty that is this beautiful bouquet!

Katie was an absolute joy to work with! She brought my wedding vision to life and it was the wedding of my dreams! We got married at Holman Ranch on 10.2.21 and all the flowers were gorgeous! I would highly recommend Katie if you're looking for a florist in the Aptos/Santa Cruz/Monterey area. She was reasonably priced compared to other florists in the Carmel area. Even if you're not getting married, they have a cute shop in aptos and beautiful arrangements/gifts. Thank you so much Katie and the entire Susi's Flowers team!

I called Susi's the morning I needed the bouquet delivered and they were able to get it out in the early afternoon. I just gave a vague color scheme and they worked with my budget to make something truly beautiful and unique. The white arrangement pictured was also made by Susi's. I am very happy with how it turned out! They were so kind and prompt on the phone.

Around October 8th I called Susi's to arrange for flowers to be delivered to a memorial service at a local church for the deceased husband of a good friend. Since I'm in Maine I could not be there, and it was important to me that the flowers represent me. I chose Susi's after looking at reviews for several business on line. They took my order, credit card info, and email and said I'd get confirmation closer to the service, which was Oct. 12th.

Early the next week I realized I'd never heard from them, and no charge was made to my credit card so became very concerned. I called them on Wed. Oct. 16th and spoke with a part-time employee who was courteous and apologetic but could not answer any of my questions. I was told she'd check with the person who took the order and I would be called back the next day.

I DID learn the owner had passed away unexpectedly, and I appreciate that such an event would cause some turmoil. I hoped that the flowers had been delivered. I never heard back, and called again on October 21st and left a message. In the meantime I emailed my friend, who, to my chagrin, confirmed that no flowers were ever delivered. I am VERY disappointed that my friend never knew I was thinking of her and remembered the service; Susi's dropped the ball with out any effort to contact me and let me know they could not fill the order.

They could have given me a chance to use another florist, or even reached out to other local florists for help under the circumstances. And now they can't bother to return my calls. While I appreciate the seriousness of the loss of the owner, I think something could have been done to fulfill existing orders or at least let people know they weren't going to do so. If they stay in business I would never consider using them again--I'll try elsewhere. Be warned!

Every Bouquet is exquisite, they always knock it out of the park! The people are friendly and nice I love this place it's definitely five star!

We had our wedding flowers done here. They're the only place in Aptos with no minimum. They make great floral arrangements for any occasion. They're local and lovely.

I recently had a small destination wedding in Santa Cruz and was a bit nervous about having to plan it being that I was out of state. I decided to use Susi's flowers for my bouquet and I only sent them 2 or 3 pictures of a general style I liked and the colors I would want them to include. I definitely left it in their hands to interpret! I didnt pick my bouquet up till the day of my wedding and I was blown away with how it turned out! My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and I could not have been more happy with it.

I highly recommend Susi's flowers. Not only were they very easy to work with especially with all my questions and changes but they did an amazing job on the flowers at my wedding. We received many compliments throughout the evening and it really made the day more elegant. The flowers have also lasted over the last week adding so beauty, great scent and lasting memories of the wedding continued. Weather made me cancel valentine plans at the last minute! I lost count of how many people I called the morning of Valentine's Day to try and have flowers delivered and I got the same answer. "Sorry, no way"! Nothing against those flower shops because my request was crazy last minute but Susi's went above and beyond! They weren't doing any more deliveries but they understood my situation and took care of me! I have a small business so when I get that kind of service I'm really appreciative! Can't say enough good things about Susi's flowers, and especially Katie! Our wedding flowers turned out beautifully. I must have changed my mind about the color palette and flower choices three or more times yes, but Katie never showed frustration with me period for that I am grateful. At one point two weeks before my wedding, I wanted to change my flowers to all white and green. Katie emailed me back and said I was crazy!

She knew I loved hot pink and fuchsia, and gave me other reasons why a monochromatic wedding would not be beautiful. She talked me out of what I thought I wanted, because she knew my personality and excitement for different flowers. My husband put me in my place, and said nobody should have to put up with my indecisiveness for months on end, and therefore Katie is a saint.

In addition, Susi's flowers is the only place in Aptos without a minimum for a wedding. They don't have package deals because each woman's wedding is unique and special. This is the only place I'll go for any other event I host. I hope, with all the changes around where the business is located, that Susi's is around forever!

Planning a destination wedding with a bride and mama in different states had its challenges, but Katie really set our minds at ease! Our daughter was delighted with her wedding at Seascape Beach Resort in Aptos, the location, the ambiance and of course, the flowers and her bouquet. We recently had the pleasure to work with Katie to design and provide the floral decor for our daughters wedding (rehearsal dinner, pre-party, wedding ceremony and reception). The planning interactions and logistics were flawless and pleasant and their execution of the design was terrific. The provided gorgeous, creative and stylistically consistent arrangements.

Their "day of" support was excellent even though they were implementing three wedding events simultaneously. In addition to being exceedingly nice and collaborative And delivering a great product and service, they did so with very competitive prices. We could not have been more pleased and recommend them without reservation.

Susi's Flowers has been my florist for more than five years. In that time, they have supplied the flowers for my engagement, wedding, special occasions and a few funerals. They are friendly, reliable, talented and affordable. Susi and Katie are artists, and have gone out of their way in the past to help me when I need something for an extra special occasion. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and talented florist.

My fiance and I reached out to Susie several times to schedule a consult for our June 2018 wedding. She was not flexible with meeting times and always appeared to be busy. When we proposed a date she continued to make exsuses. We understood when she mentioned she was expecting a grandchild on our proposed condujt date, however, she did not follow up with our email about rescheduling or following up. Furthermore, she wasn't at all willing to Skype considering we don't live in the area so all trips to our venue and difficult and she was unwilling to accommodate.

As of date, we still haven't heard back as our inquiry has fallin through the cracks. Would not recommend. Very unprofessional. Slow to respond. Have to send multiple inquires for any kind of response. Bottom line, no urgency on her part in regards to our wedding. Showed No interest and we felt like we had to beg her to have our money. Move on. Next.

I hired these guys to do flowers for my wedding a couple months ago, and I worked with Katie. If I knew then what I know now, I would have gone with a different company. Throughout the process, all my emails took over a week to be responded to- often I had to follow up with a phone call (or several) before anyone got back to me. Frustrating and unprofessional.

A week before the wedding, we have finally had our last 'detail refinement' chat and Im waiting for a final quote. Very important when it comes to wedding budgeting (at least for me). I ask for this quote several times, no response. Day of the wedding, Katie arrives at the venue/bridal suite with the flowers. The flowers are lovely! Katie's attitude is not.

I find her unaccommodating, snippy, and she snaps at me when I ask about the final quote. She writes prices on an envelope for me. Everyone in the room commented on her sour attitude and the negative energy lingered after she left. The groomsmen said they had a similar experience with her, too, everyone wondered what her problem was. Sorry Katie, I found you to be unprofessional and your vibe put a damper on the happy atmosphere- which was a big deal! Two stars because the flowers were very pretty.

Katie did an amazing job with our wedding reception table centerpieces. I was OVER the moon with my sweetheart table garland. It was gorgeous! Her flowers were everything I could have ever imagined. She is super easy to work with and really transforms your vision into reality. It's 4 days after my wedding and I am still staring at my flowers she created. Thank you, Katie!

I ordered two arrangements for a family dinner at a restaurant over the phone. They were tasteful and lovely, way beyond my expectations. Thank you!

I cannot rave enough about the rehearsal dinner and wedding flowers from this florist, with Katie totally 'getting' the aesthetic for each event. I wanted something totally different for the rehearsal dinner than for the wedding, and she nailed both. Flowers make a huge impact at a wedding, and the costs can certainly add up, so trust that everything will be perfect is key.

The arrangements, bouquets, etc. were fresh and full and exactly what we all wanted. I just let go of the last surviving parts of the centerpieces, which lasted 2+ weeks. We don't live in the area, so I hope I do get to use Susi's and work with Katie again some day!

Super friendly staff and beautiful flowers and arrangements!

Being new to city can be difficult and finding a good florist can be a hit or miss. I was so fortunate to stop in to Susi's. I dropped in right before closing and Darlene was so helpful and patient in letting me select the perfect flowers. Susi's has very unique selection of flowers that are beautiful. Arriving upon closing time, I assumed the flowers would be delivered the next day some time. I was pleasantly surprised to find the flowers were delivered the same day and the arrangement was perfect! I would highly recommend Susi's!

I worked with Susi for my August 2015 wedding. I couldn't be happier with the results. She has an eclectic style (check out her website and Pinterest pages). My bouquet lasted the whole day and the flowers smelled beautiful. I rented milk glass bowls from her for center pieces and she suggested I put peaches in the bowls, great idea! She also created a beautiful wreath for us to hang at our tree "alter." She worked within my budget and was a great pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Susi's Flowers. I plan to come back in the future.
