Went out with my sis and parents. Called Friday and was able to get reservations easily for a Saturday night. Service was great. Ambiance was outstanding; we loved the pianist. I had the prime rib. It was excellent. My dad had the rack of lamb and loved it. He said the price was much better than expected. My only complaint would be the loaded potato. it seemed a little old and the handicap ramp has a few lips and bumps making it hard for my mom to navigate. Bathrooms were clean, but the larger stall didn't lock. Would definitely come again!

Wonderful experience. My family knows the owner and staff really well. They're so kind and accommodating. We last minute had to find a venue for my sister and brother in-law's 10 year anniversary dinner because the original place we booked with gave us so many problems. We called the hilltop and they made it work for us, they were amazing! We really appreciate them so much! The food is great, the place is really cool, and the staff is so kind!

The Hilltop Club is such a beautiful location for both ceremony and reception for your wedding. We used the Nature Garden and Grand Ballroom and they were both so perfect for the wedding we had envisioned. There were so many great locations around the club for wedding photos. The food was out of this world and every guest we had was raving about the Azalea dinner menu. Everyone involved during the planning process was so helpful. We will definitely use them again for future events.

The food is 5 stars. The rack of lamb and salmon Oscar were perfect. It's a shame this restaurant doesn't get more business. We were the only ones there at the time and the waiter said there were no customers the evening before. I think their bread and butter is the wedding and receptions that they book there.

We had our wedding here over the weekend and had an incredible time. Chad and Stacey were an absolute pleasure to work with, the food (especially the mahi mahi) was tasty, and our guests all had a great time. They were very accommodating and the price was well within our budget and came with many extra's I did not expect. I would absolutely recommend the Hilltop for not only a night out, but for a wedding as well. We look forward to going back!

Just very outdated and over priced. Filet Mignon was over cooked and covered in steak sauce, asparagus was over cooked. She crab soup tasted pre-made. Also, I had the steak and shrimp and it came with only 2 shrimp. I think this was *the* place back in our grandparents/parents generation. Now it's just a little run down. Not even the wait staff is dressed up. Glad we experienced it but don't think we will be back.

Pretty grounds, but the interior is in need of a DEEP clean. Limited menu with steep prices. Our waiter wasn't very good. Extremely long wait time (about 1.5 hours). The food left a lot to be desired - the best thing was the salad that came with the meal. Wouldn't recommend the escargot or the fried green tomatoes (very hard and undercooked and tasted like it just had mustard on it). Wouldn't recommend.

I went to The Hill Top restaurant for the first time today and I will never go back again. The server Angelo ignored us for at least a half hour while walking past us to take care of the table behind me. He went back to that table at least 8 times before I told the lady cleaning the tables that I needed a new server. We never got an apology from Angelo or the manager for this. The lady cleaning the tables gave us more service and attention than either server we had. It took us 2 hours to get our entree. The restaurant was not busy.

Beautiful setting, pleasant environment, substandard service. We came in for a 5.30pm dinner after having been last at this restaurant for a wedding 8 years earlier. It was just as lovely of a setting as I remember it and with Christmas decor! As a pescatarian, I was quickly disappointed by the highly limited selection but found something I liked.
The food was fine, but suddenly out waitress ditched her mask. I noticed most other employees were not wearing masks either. If this had happened right from the start I'd have left but we already ordered. So I just tried to keep her away from our table which was tough. Another employee (the only one with a mask) also kept coming around and interrupting our conversation multiple times asking if everything is ok.
I understand once but she came around 3 times! While we were about half way through dinner our maskless waitress came to ask if we'd like desert. TERRIBLE timing for an upscale restaurant. I said no and then she said Ok just the check? I'm freaking eating, not now. I told her "yes but when we finish". She still brought it! While we were 2/3rds through dinner. Seriously? From then on I just couldn't wait to leave. Lovely restaurant but the employees badly need training

We had a lovely dinner for our anniversary last night. We had another couple with us. Our appetizers were great we had fried green tomatoes and our friends had the mussels and fried green tomatoes. Everyone enjoyed them. 2 of us had the prime rib which they are known for it was amazing and the horseradish was perfect not overdone. It also came with au ju which was good.
My husband had the Salmon it comes with a ginger teriyaki glaze which he had on the side once he tasted it poured it over. He said it was wonderful. The entrees came with a house or Caesar salad which was so fresh and the dressing great. Our friend had the Mediterranean Chicken was beautifully presented. I had glazed carrots, another had roasted zucchini, mashed sweet potatoes, baked potato, rice all were great.
We took our dessert to go we were all full. We had a bottle of champagne and a bottle of moscato both were excellent choices by the house. Sue L. our waitress was a fabulous server. They also had a man playing the piano we tipped him and told him we so enjoyed his talent. The experience was just what we needed the perfect way to celebrate our 11th anniversary.

The customer service at Hilltop is Outstanding! We spoke to Chad to place our pick up order for my husband's early birthday dinner as well as one who provided us with our order when we arrived. He gave my husband a sample of the she crab soup and was very friendly. My husband loved that Chad was very personable and cracking jokes with him. We found the Hilltop through restaurant.com with a promotional offer that they had going.
We opted to do a pick up order However they offer outdoor seating for those who would like to eat at the restaurant. We ordered two king size prime rib medium rare. I had the zucchini and sweet potato mash, with a mixed green salad. My husband's sides included the bake potato, glazed carrots, and a Cesar salad. The king cut is massive and depending on how hungry you are can be split. The price is comparable to the quantity and quality of the food you receive. Hilltop has an older stately vibe to the decor and style.

My husband and I chose The Hilltop for our wedding ceremony for many reasons. We wanted a quiet venue for a small party of 12 people where we could have the ceremony and dinner at the same place. Stacey was awesome! She took lots of time with us when we went for our walk through and got to know us personally. She then took that information and added it to our vows! Wow is all I can say.
She hit the nail on the head. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding and she did a wonderful job standing back and allowing us to add our own special twist to the day before she began. We never felt rushed. Dinner was amazing in the garden room where they opened early to serve our party. Thank you so much for making our day the best possible! We will never forget it. Chrissy & Bill

Attended my best friends wedding here over the weekend. It was a lovely wedding. The Hilltop was a great choice. The outdoor section was beautiful. Setup was done nicely. The space for the reception was great. The food was good. Salads and bread, potatoes, mixed veggies, chicken and beef. There's great photo ops around the restaurant and property. The hilltop is a good spot for weddings and other events.

We are new to the area and decided to try a few new places for dining. Even had a coupon for $25.00 off! The Hilltop Restaurant is a charming place that looks like it really should be down in Key West with it's trees and wrap-around porches and back veranda for receptions. It's that beautiful. Dinner was no exception. We tried a few new dishes that were excellent and the staff EXTREMELY attentive to their customers.
Love the piano man and Angelo a host in the purest sense. We came on an evening where they were set up for Halloween. It was hilarious! Dang near scared myself witless at the front door where a skeletal woman was holding a mummified baby in her arms. My guy laughed as I screeched. :- Had to really hold my stomach from laughing when I needed to go to the bathroom and asked my guy for directions.
He said, "Go straight after Hellraiser. Left at Chuckie and past Freddie. If you see the guy with a chainsaw, he's not with us." Too funny. Needless to say, if you have a special date night planned, an event or simply looking for a new place with excellent food and an upscale atmosphere that is laid back, make a reservation at the Hilltop. Oh, and a word of caution.when using coupons, read the small print. Sometimes a unseen gratuitity is attached or one can't use them on a certain day. But Hilltop is worth going with or without a coupon!

I attended a high school sports award banquet for my nephew here at The Hilltop Club and Restaurant. This is a favorite hidden spot for locals set in a converted Victorian mansion on a hill. The impressive grounds are filled with sparkling water fountains, fragrant flowers, lush green foliage, a festival of trees and percolating ponds with white picket fences and generous parking.
The banquet took place in their Grand Ballroom which holds approximately 200 guests. This particular area is rented for $1500 for four hours and the food was served buffet style. The service was smooth as the staff did a great job keeping our sweet teas filled, serving all of the desserts, keeping the coffee pots filled, clearing the tables and efficiently attending to a room full of hungry guests. OK, now think: high school boys, 200 guests & budget.
For dinner, we had Italian Baked Ziti and fresh garden salad with a choice of Honey Poppyseed and Ranch dressings served with warm garlic butter rolls. Definitely tasty.just like a meal you would eat in the comfort of your own home. Uncomplicated, yet satisfying. Not gourmet, but solid food and appropriately chosen for this group. Overall, there is no doubt everything about this location is quite charming.
I have yet to eat off of the "fine dining" menu so I really cannot comment on the chef's specialties. However, my experiences here so far have been delightful and I look forward to coming back for that special occasion and perhaps try that rack of lamb Monica S. raved about in her review a while back. Any takers?;
