A-1 Rental

We have used A-1 twice now in the last four years and both times were a great experience. They communicate with you easily to make sure you have what you need and follow up before delivery. This year we had a bounce house and a tent for a grad party and we mapped it all out better after talking with them from the original idea. They were kind and efficient and were the same when they came for pick up. I will recommend them to everyone and will definitely use them again when the time comes.

Absolutely HORRIBLE! Bill the "owner" is very very unprofessional! My boyfriend went in asking for a certain machine for the job were doing and was directed to the machine. Took the machine home and it ended up breaking. Took it back and Bill was so unbelievably rude about it. Boyfriend stated we used the machine just as we were supposed to and it failed. Bill continued to yell and argue that we broke his machine (which we did not). Will never rent from then again.

Great people is very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend getting tools or machines from there

Quick process, equipment worked for what was needed, gentlemen running shop friendly and kind. Prices are good as well.

Called this place to let them know about one of their trucks that was blocking traffic in front of their store. Bill answered the phone and was extremely rude about it and hung up on me. If they are this rude when you are just trying to be nice and let them know of a minor issue, then I can just imagine what would happen if there was a real problem. I will never rent from them ever just based off this experience.

Horrible experience. Older gentleman definately should not be working with the public, aggressively rude! canceled my rental will never deal with again.

I'm very disappointed in a-1 rental. I called about getting a tent for a party that was going to happen within two weeks. Sent in my deposit for the full amount of the rental. Unfortunately one of the family is going to the party came down with COVID-19. Called a week in advance and let them know I wanted to cancel and they would not give me a refund only a store credit. Stay away!

Nice people to talk to although as soon as I got the machine I got on it and the people that delivered it barely got to the end of the road I had a hydraulic leak already as soon as I got it. I was told to tape it until the mechanic could come out which he never came out, it kept shutting off so I third of my time was trying to get the equipment to actually stay started and I didn't get anything done and wasted my money.

I understand that machines breakdown but when you call In and they say they will give you some money off your next rental that doesn't make somebody want to rent there again what would make somebody rent there again would be saying hey I apologize what happened I'll give you some money off this rental, That would make me at least try it again, because I now know that if something in the future happens I won't get money off they will just say your next rental and it will always be the next rental. Never again if they can't make it right this time. Total waste of money and no one cared to make it right to the customer because there old equipment isn't working right.

We rented two 20x20 high peak tents, tables, and chairs for a grad party. Delivery, set up, and removal of the tents were on time and the staff was very courteous. I stopped in to make my reservation and ensure the tables and chairs were what I wanted. When they were delivered, they were exactly as I expected with no problems whatsoever. We will definitely be back for the next big party we host.

Rented a 4 wood chipper. Great price, nice equipment which allowed us to get the job done well. Unfortunately, the driver accidentally drove over our stone walkway and broke one of the 1'x1' stones. The driver was real nice and readily admitted fault, although it was just an accident. When I called the owner Bill, however, he was extremely dismissive and refused to accept responsibility. The beauty of it, is that I have the entire incident recorded on security video. Be wary of this company.

Let me tell you how friendly the gentlemen are that run the place, they are so kind, polite, thoughtful, thorough and friendly. They will do whatever they can possible to make your EXPERIENCE with A-1 Rental a enjoyable, easy, best bang for the buck and that good old local friendly store feeling you will get. They treat you with dignity & respect and I would NOT rent anywhere else ever! Thanks for all your help guys!

They're all right people long as the old man don't start running his mouth and get you fired up but other words they're okay they're good on her stop the good people just don't argue with the old guy

I needed to rent an aluminum brake for a few hours on Saturday. I called, they had it available, the price was right and I drove 30 miles to the store to get it. Coming from Pittsburgh, it took me a good 1 hour to get there and I got lost trying to find the place. It was 11:30AM by then. It's generally accepted with rentals that you do not get charged for days when the business is closed, so Sunday should have been free.

I had rented from them before and was not charged for Sunday, per their policy. Plus, while waiting for my turn, I overheard another cashier rent out a compressor to another customer and telling him "No need to rush back today, return it by Monday 9:00 for no extra charge." When my turn came, I was assisted by another cashier. The rental was 2x as much as quoted over the phone, so I asked him why and he said it's "For 2 days!' I asked him since when they charge for Sunday, and why the other customer's compressor was only 1 day, and he rudely came back with 'That tool is rented out differently than what you need.

Take it or leave it.' I really needed that brake, the roofer was waiting on me to come back with it, plus I drove 30 miles to get there, or I'd have walked out. But never again!

Rented from Bill today and it was a horrible experience. He is made the experience painful and difficult. On top of that requesting personal information that had nothing to do with the rental process. This was the closest place to us but we will be driving past A-1 in the future to go any where else and will happily pay more! Beware if you use this place!

The guys in the store front were very sweet. However, the tent I rented was dirty and ripped for the party I had. Tables and chairs did their job, but were also pretty beat up.
