Absolutely loved my experience here! The owner was able to sell me a floor model dress for 1/3 of the sticker price and it was perfect! Was given so much more attention here than at all the bigger stores I looked at previously. I wish I would have started here!

I will recommend this place to anyone! Susan and her daughter give the BEST customer service. They have so much knowledge about wedding dresses and designers and they are so helpful when making even the smallest decisions. I went to many different bridal shops and none of them compared to A Joyful Occasion.

I absolutely loved this shop and the staff; had I not been gifted a wedding gown by a family friend who'd recently closed their own bridal store, I would have definitely purchased my gown from A Joyful Occasion. Susan was so sweet and did a great job of recognizing my style to help me find the right dress; I didn't have a specific silhouette, fabric, or style I was looking for, and the other shops I visited had a hard time zeroing in on the "feel" of the dress I was going for.

She was extremely helpful and found a variety of beautiful dresses for me to try on. My price range (under $1200) was limiting at the other shops I visited (most of what they had to offer were basically white bridesmaid dresses), but A Joyful Occasion had a great selection & wide variety of both orderables and sample sale dresses for me to try on. Loved visiting this shop, highly recommend!

This was the best experience I could have had while getting my wedding dress. I went to multiple places and never got the one on one attention I recieved here. They know their product so well and actually listen to you each step of the way. Highly recommend them for their service, product knowledge, and honesty as well. Can't rave enough. thank you so much for making me feel special every time I was there.

I absolutely loved my experience here. Bot women who work there were very nice, positive and experienced in pulling dresses that fit my personality. They has great suggestions and modification ideas to make the dress perfect for me. Amazing service.

Honestly, this shop deserves more than 5 stars! These ladies are honestly the best in the business. It is a mom and daughter owned shop and they will give you the one on one personal attention because they truly love what they do! I worked with Susan who ended up being the one who picked out the dress that I said "YES" to! My beautiful Paloma Blanca dress was everything I could have ever wanted in a dress and they even worked with me to make sure it fit my budget.

They even opened up the shop for me on a day they were supposed to be closed to I could come in and pick out veil with my dress on and hair and make up done! My experience with them was nothing short of amazing.

Susan is the absolute best. I am honestly heartbroken over the fact that I couldn't afford the dress that I fell in love with there. She was my first bridal appointment handler and she not only helped me figure out what style I actually liked and what worked with my figure, but she listened to how I felt, and if I didn't know how I felt, she read my body language perfectly.

I needed a dress that had sleeves added, so during the fitting she found fabric similar to the dresses that I was looking at and added mock sleeves so that I knew how the dress would look/how I would look in the dress. I may have not been able to purchase my dress for her but I am most certainly going back to purchase my veil and accessories from her. I highly encourage not only all brides in the area, but definitely first time brides to go and chat with Susan and her daughter. They are both fantastic ladies to work with!

I had a fantastic experience at A Joyful Occasion in Naperville, IL and would highly recommend this Bridal Boutique to anyone seeking professionalism and a great selection (oh, and at a cheaper price). My mom, two future mother in laws, and I were on a mission to find me "the one dress, " and I found it here! Right when I walked in, I was greeted warmly by one of the owners.

She shook my hand and introduced herself (wow, you don't see that happen at retail stores often). The store is smaller and an appointment needs to be made ahead of time (FYI so make sure to do that ahead of time). This Bridal Boutique offers new releases as well as sample pieces at a steep discount, veils, jewelry, hair accessories, etc. Everything you would need to look your best for your big day.

Unlike other bridal shops I looked, at A Joyful Occasion I got: 1) A dress picked, purchased and guaranteed to be in the shop within one week without a surcharge! 2) A custom-made Cathedral Veil at 1/3 the cost of most bridal stores. 3) An identical hair accessory I saw in another store 20% cheaper. 4) One-on-one attention (because they were not overbooked). 5) Alternations offered at a great price. There are many Bridal Boutiques in the suburbs and even Naperville, but I would recommend checking A Joyful Occasion out.
