We had initially discussed our wedding vision and needs with Brittany who had an accurate grasp on our expectations. Some time after this initial meeting, we were notified of a staffing change. This seemed fine until closer to our wedding. When trying to schedule a final phone call, we were told they could not accommodate a weekend or evening call as their store hours are M-F 8am-5pm.
This isn't great for people who work these hours. During our final call we arranged a preview time for the night before the wedding. When the time came, I called to let them know we were on the way (they should have already known), and was confronted with a "well okay, but we close soon." Upon arriving to the preview, I didn't even recognize the flowers as they deviated so beyond what we'd discussed.
The colors were not correct even though I explicitly denied one of the colors, and I couldn't even see the anemones I had emphasized. The store associate tried to contact the designer to have it fixed, but we had to leave. The morning of the wedding I received a call saying it was going to get fixed. When I received my bouquet it did look beautiful, but much different than the night before. Also, we required some floral installations as per discussed with Brittany originally; however, during the staffing transition this detail did not successfully make it into our new proposal.
As someone not well-versed in the floral industry I did not notice this and neither did Blossom Basket. On the day of the wedding, the venue owner did advise Blossom Basket to notify my mom of their drop off before leaving; however, this did not happen, and the florals were left in boxes in the foyer. Having anticipated the floral installations be done by the florist, no one in the bridal party knew what to do. Thankfully, the venue owner stepped in and installed the cages herself. Had she not been there, I'm not sure what I would have done.
This was an unfortunate oversight that I hope Blossom Basket can avoid in the future. Also, if glass rental returns are expected within a week of the event, there should be a Sunday drop off option. Most people are gone on their honeymoon during this time or live out of town. As a bride spending thousands on florals, you expect and hope to be heard and appreciated as a customer, and I did not necessarily feel either of those things.

I received a dozen red roses on one of the coldest days of the year, and I can't praise this florist enough for the care they took in assuring a safe delivery of perfect blooms. They called twice and came to the door to make sure I was home before bringing the flowers, fully protected, to me. A week later, the roses are still perfect, fragrant, the best I have ever received. And I've seen many roses. Kudos!

OH my goodness, highest of marks don't even do them justice! They have done our family flowers for many occasions but unfortunately in the past 12 years for funerals. With that said the flowers sprays and serve they provide is alway top notch! I ordered a beautiful spray for our parents grave marker bench since we were in town for our Uncles funeral and I didn't make it in time On Friday before they closed and I was devastated because we were leave on a flight out before they opened on Monday.
I sent an email and left a message. Well I received a call from Shelby on Saturday early that said she was working on an arrangement and if I could come to pick it up, she would bring it out! With I tell you that was the best call I got, wow you have no idea! ThNk you beyond words for being a step above most companies that not only have those employees and being that kind of company! You will forever have our business! They go above and beyond and do absolutely beautiful work! Thank you and you are a 10 in our book! The Martinie's

I've ordered from Blossom Basket a number of times for a number of occasions, and the arrangements the staff develops are always fresh and beautiful. As a florist, sometimes we too have personal events that we need assistance with. This was the case last week when a family friend was taken to the hospital in Urbana. Blossom Basket Florist did an absolutely beautiful arrangement when we called them. We gave Blossom Basket a designers choice, masculine order. The arrangement they sent was over and above our expectations. We highly recommend this florist! Thank you for caring about our order!

Most amazing florist I have used. I won't use anybody else locally. They took responsibility for a mistake and turned it into a positive for me. The last order was special. I asked for a custom order. Having no idea what to expect, they went above and beyond. Well worth the money and they even put in a personal touch based in my message on the card. See photos.

Blossom Basket is my GO TO florist in Champaign/Urbana! I live many states away from my Mom and family and they always provide an excellent bouquet at reasonable prices and they go above and beyond with their customer service. They also send me a picture on email so that I see what I sent my Mom! One time I called them (on very short birthday notice) and they had a beautiful bouquet to my Mom WITHIN 2 HOURS OF MY CALL! Highly recommend!

My issue isn't with the flowers. I have requested to be removed from their automatic "someone has a special occasion coming up so please order more flowers" letters. I had ordered a 50th anniversary bouquet for my parents. 20 days later my mother died. Every September, I get the reminder. YEARS ago I asked, in person, to be removed from this mailing list.
Every year since that request, my letters come to "My name, no correspondence please." My father died a month ago. Guess what came in the mail yesterday? My request obviously made it to someone's attention--how else how could my mail be thus addressed? This lack of attention to customer requests only has served to rub salt into the wounds of my loss.
I have not had occasion to send flowers recently but will not again give them my business when I do. Thank you again, Blossom Basket, for reminding me of the death of my parents and how you clearly care more about making money than having respect for your clientele.

I received flowers from Blossom Basket during a recent hospital stay and they were the most beautiful, most fresh flowers I have ever received! In the past when I received a bouquet with roses they just wilt and die, but these actually opened up! Since these were a gift, I cannot comment on price but the quality is definitely superior!

I am definitely a fan of Blossom Basket! They back their flower quality which I appreciated when I sent an arrangement to a friend and felt they looked wilted. Blossom Basket replaced the arrangement with a new one right away. Both arrangements were creative and pretty. I did feel the second one looked better. What a way to run a quality business. Thank you Blossom Basket for a job well done!

Two weeks before my wedding I was faced with an issue: we had no flowers. My aunt was going to take care of them, she planned to get them from a local market and arrange them herself, but fell ill. So we had a predicament, one that Blossom Basket took care of. Despite giving them just two weeks notice, despite calling over and over and updating my order, despite giving them little direction on what I was looking for, they were extremely friendly and created beautiful bouquets and arrangements I was so proud to have at our wedding.

Blossom basket is an outstanding florist for whatever occasion. We were from out of town and had to plan a last minute wedding on a tight budget, not enough funds to hire a florist. So, we were off to the many craft stores to buy the parts and make our own. Getting the fresh flowers was easy at Blossom. More importantly, they were very helpful in giving us tips on how to do it!
We visited some other florists and they wouldn't hear about it. Blossom had some beautiful arrangements that weren't that expensive considering the quality. Check them out first, and don't go anywhere else.

Used them for my wedding. Brittany was perfect and patient with me being a picky indecisive bride. When I was able to view my flowers the day before I got teary eyed. Everything came out well. My colors matched perfectly (even my dream lavender roses!) and her suggestions for accents were perfect (esp since I had no clue how to pick flowers)
