The staff was pleasant, and the appetizer portion was amazing. The fruit and sausage was fresh, tasty, and the dips were surprisingly flavorful. I unfortunately was not a fan of the dinner portion at all, the rice was a strange combination mix of flavors and both meats we had - the chicken breast and sliced beef - were extremely dry and lacking in flavor. The salad dressing however was very good and so were the rolls. The desserts were sweet and much more appealing.

They catered 2 days of training events I attended. First day was amazing chicken marsala with roasted potatoes and steamed green beans. Would have taken home a doggie bag if I had one. Second day was meatloaf, dirty rice with cranberries, steamed seasonal veggies and jalapeno cornbread biscuits. Dirty rice was great and biscuits were nice and spicy. Best training lunches I have ever eaten. Would definately consider for a fancier event.

I wanted to take my time with this but also wanted to make sure it did not go too long. I was married at the Marbury Center on September 30th and Roux's did our in house catering. Here is the synopsis: 1. I love the serving and wait staff that work for Roux's, they did an amazing job and were beyond kind and professional! 2. My food was nowhere near the same flavor or quality as what I sampled during my tasting especially the jerk chicken skewers which were dissolving.
Food was also room temp to cold. 3. I rented my venue for 10 hours time, and during my 1hr rehearsal time there was a couple doing a walk through of the venue. On the day of my wedding (about 30 minutes before my guests were expected to arrive) there were several people walking through to view my venue. I approached Robert (owner) and asked that no one else be allowed into the venue as it had been prepped for my wedding, he expressed that this happens sometimes and I again stated I did not want people allowed in during my rental time.
I felt this was inappropriate, unprofessional and disrespectful. 4. I knew my amount of guests had increased over a month ahead of time and met with Robert to notify him. I also wanted to square away monies owed and get my final estimated costs one month out so we would not be unprepared. We met and did some rough numbers but still no breakdown of costs.
At a little over 2 weeks out, I requested another meeting to finalize costs and he expressed we could meet but it was unnecessary. At the week of, I emailed asking for an invoice which he sent to me 2 days before the wedding with over 2k higher than my estimate. At this point, you have little time to dispute or question because time is limited. He also was not present to take our final payment at rehearsal and the person who was there had no knowledge of this matter.
I am not wealthy, I don't come from money, but I expected to be treated the same as any other couple. 2 out of 5 stars due to lack of professionalism and poor delivery. The staff are the real stars here.

Roux catered my wedding reception yesterday. We were very impressed with all aspects of our event, thanks to Robert and his staff! My husband and I are unfamiliar with event planning, and Robert was very helpful and patient in answering all our questions from the beginning. We were planning long distance, and he was flexible in accommodating our needs.
While my husband and I planned on a buffet dinner menu ( we thought that was just a wedding "standard"), I am so glad Robert suggested heavy appetizer stations based on our guest count and vision for event flow. Robert worked with us to pick food items to create a varied but cohesive menu. I can tell Roux spends a lot of time planning presentation of the food items as much as flavor.
I received just as many compliments on the taste of the food items as the aesthetics of the food station set up! Robert and his staff have a great eye for these small but important details that make all the difference. Roux staff were kind and helpful to our guests before, during and after the event. As a former food service worker, I am very impressed with staff efficiency during our event. Thank you so much for making our wedding reception an event to remember!
