MOB here. The food was good. The service not so much! Two employees showed up 20 minutes early. Sounds great right? No, they only had a portion of the supplies.linens, dishes etc. We were waiting on the linens to be placed on the tables so we could place the centerpieces. The person that was bringing the rest of the supplies arrived 45 minutes late!
The planner had to make them take soiled linens off some tables. I noticed that night as people seated toward the back were getting their meals that there were some black plates and some clear plates. (They were all suppose to be white) the next day when I called they tried to tell me that a stack of plates turned over and broke on the way over. I knew this was not the case cause several people had over heard them talking at the venue saying they needed to go out (Dollar Store) to get more plates because they didn't bring enough.
We had less people that we told them we were going to have, why they didn't bring enough plates I don't know (but don't lie to me). After talking to Michelle about this she said she would call be back with some explanation as to why they showed up 45 minutes late and short of supplies. It's been 1 week and I still haven't got a call. I guess this goes to show after they have your money they're done with you! Take your chances and hire at your own risk! I wish i hadn't!

We hired Visions to cater my daughters reception in September 2021. We had several issues with them. They were late setting up for some reason, so there was no water or cold drinks for the cocktail hour for at least 30 minutes. Appetizers were passed, but started late also. Some tables never got covered with tablecloths as promised. The food was good, we had a plated dinner and it was done well.
The salad had very little dressing if any. We had a late night snack, which was supposed to be passed on trays, but was laid on a table instead. A server was seen eating the snack. It did not seem like there was a sufficient amount of the late snack for the whole crowd. I think if they had been there earlier, lots of this would have been avoided. On the positive side, they are able to help with flowers too. Not sure the quality is there for catering. They have not followed up on my complaints unfortunately.

I attended a wedding in May 2021 at this establishment. I have been to many wedding and receptions during my 30+ years of my life and this catering service had to be the worst I have ever experienced. The wedding was beautiful, followed by the cocktail hour. I am not sure if they were short of staff which included the cook, but the food during the reception was unacceptable.
I really felt bad for both the bride and groom because it was their special day and this day should not be remembered by disgusting food and poor service. Let me start with the food: the macaroni and cheese was disgusting. It was cold and you can tell it was boxed macaroni and cheese. I went through the buffet line to get my food and was served with tiny portions of food (similar to what you would feed a toddler).
The 8-10 people who were sitting at my table were so thirsty.the servers never came to fill our pitchers of water nor sweet tea and there were literally one pitcher of water and one pitcher of sweet tea at out table. Then, I watched the bartender serve a 7-year old soda without asking a nearby adult if she had permission to give him Sprite to drink.
To be honest, the highlight of this bad review is mainly the food and the serving of the food. I would never consider reserving any events using this catering business because it was the absolute worst every!

Visions made my day perfect! The office was very flexible with rescheduling my wedding 3 times due to COVID. The staff arrived on time and set up everything beautifully. Our guests raved about the food, some of my guests went back for 2nds and 3rds! Loved the Roast beef! We received great service, and great food at a great value! I would highly recommend Visions above all other catering companies!

We had quite the adventure with Visions Catering. We chose them based off of affordability; they had a "special" going on when we were planning. The first experience with them was great -- we met with one of the management staff and she answered all of our questions. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. We scheduled our tasting after we had already booked because we were planning a wedding mostly remotely.and in the middle of COVID.
When we arrived, they acted odd and questioned why we were there for a tasting (even though I had explicitly told them in my e-mails we had just recently moved and that we were doing our tasting after already booking). The tablecloth had crumbs and spilled drinks from the previous tasting. The food was pretty good on the bright side, but the cleanliness issue didn't sit well with us.
We were also told we couldn't pick out our linens that day which was previously unclear (we were told otherwise when we signed our contract). At our linens appointment (I booked a few weeks out and even confirmed!), the manager opened the door and looked at us surprised. She wasn't prepared for us and didn't have anything ready. We were fine to wait for her to get set up, but she 100% did not remember(?) or know(?) we were coming.
Another red flag and we were getting paranoid. I think that multiple people respond to their e-mail account and don't have the best communication. When I confirmed my final number attending our wedding, they addressed me by "Angela" and not "Allison." Wedding day is here! Yay! I made a specific timeline ONLY for them because I wanted to make it as easy as possible on them and the venue.
They showed up on time and the food was very good! The grilled cheese minis weren't what we expected, but we didn't try those at our tasting so we think that was our own issue. Anyways -- at cocktail hour they came up to my mother and told her that they only had one bottle of Chardonnay left. I had EXPLICITLY told the manager that my friends and family don't typically drink moscato-esque wine and they'd likely go for the classics.
My mom had even said multiple times that she just didn't want to run out of food or drinks. The bartender had to run to Food Lion for more wine. Towards the end of the evening, the event coordinator from Visions came up to me and told me that they had to leave (their contract had ended.so they needed their table cloths back). Maybe this was my fault, but no one told me that they had to get their tablecloths back that evening and that they'd suggest to take them off while guests were still sitting at tables and having a fun evening (dancing, chatting, etc.).
I had sent them the timeline with specific times on it and asked for their approval/understanding, but I guess it wasn't reviewed. I asked them not to take the tablecloths and to please wait, which is what they did. I'm grateful for that. I'm no pro wedding planner by any means, but my husband and I really didn't have the best experience. The chef is sweet and the staff is very nice. there are just some logistical issues here.

My husband and I found this company at a wedding show and loved the food and we couldn't wait to book them for our wedding! The tasting and booking went fine. However we did have a few inconveniences; one issue we had with them was their lack of professionalism. We made an appointment to choose our linens and nobody on their end showed up or answered the phone when we called several times.
This let my husband and I very frustrated and fearful of them not showing up to our wedding. Another issue we had was when we over paid them for their services as we had to reduce our guest count due to Covid and they refused to give us a refund stating that their contract states that you will receive a credit but no refund (it does not say that for reducing guests only if you're cancelling your event).
At the time we viewed it not to be a huge issue as we didn't want to cause problems to make them either not show up to our wedding or to treat us poorly. So we ended up having to add another side as a credit instead of getting refunded. With all of that being said, they did show up and the food was good.

Visions did my wedding and the only part about it I liked was my flowers. Don't waste your time or money for the food here. They do not update you or keep you informed. I could write a book about how disappointing this company is. They don't even deserve one star. Don't waste your time or money. No one is on the same page and it was constantly a game of he said she said.

My son and his bride picked this vender because they wanted to have breakfast for dinner and they offered what they wanted at the price point they wanted to pay. It seemed like it would be easy to accomplish but I have to say it was the grossest breakfast I have ever eaten! Not only was the scrambled eggs cold they were GREEN! Yuck not very appetizing!
The pancakes were cold and dry even with loads of syrup. I felt so bad they spend so much money for terrible quality food! The service was great and they were attentive but horrible product.

I don't like complaining but folks should be held accountable for bad customer service. I hired them for an event with 250 clients at the Crystal Palace. We have about 15 events a year and this was the worst experience in catering that I have ever had. During the event clients came over to let me know that the beef was tough and the food was cold.
I purchased ten extra meals to make sure we didn't run out of food for the Christmas event, and we still ran out of food. They were to provide a coffee station, and they put one 8 cup carafe in the middle of an empty table and the carafe was empty most of the night. I went back to the kitchen to find out why we had no coffee and one of the staff said they all they gave her to serve us was a regular coffee pot and she was making coffee as fast as she could.
One of the staff went to the local store to get some other items for dessert since they ran out and by the time they got back the clients were leaving. They had purchased marked down day old stuff and felt this was appropriate. I called to speak to the owner three times. She was always unavailable and never called me back. This was four years ago and I have never used them since.
I hope they have improved. When we used them the staff was very apologetic and tried to do all they could. All the money we spent and the effort we went to, and we looked really bad to our clients. I would have rather not had an event at all.

The price they gave was great, the tasting was outstanding. However, the day of my wedding there was no tissue/paper towels in restrooms I had to ask several times. They did not put out the rum punch during the cocktail hour as agreed upon and their response was that because my full bar didn't open until after dinner they couldn't put out the rum punch because they didn't know if minors would get that.
This was an adult only wedding besides my 2 children and they knew this was an adult only wedding. They even told my brother he couldn't have any water. They had 1 dispenser of lemonade out for 150 people. There was another wedding going on upstairs and they were supposed to have someone at the elevator at all times to ask them which wedding they were attending, and to direct them to the wedding they were suppose to be at.
That did not happen and several of my guests ended up at the other wedding. Then they tried to tell me that I did not have liquor that I paid $2500 for. I had to pull up my emails and prove to them that I did! Then I had to wait for Nina the to call the manager Michele to ask her if it was ok after I proved to her that I paid. Nina said she can only do what her manager allows.
So my guests didn't have anything to drink but one dispenser of lemonade during cocktail hour and no cocktails no water, then when the bar opened after dinner they had to wait an additional 20 min for them to agree to give me the alcohol that I paid for. And the quality of the food was not the same as the tasting. They said that's because my wedding started 20 min later.
It started 20 min later because 40 of my guests were in the wedding upstairs and didn't know where to go because the attendant was not there. One of my guests knew she was in the wrong wedding because she happened to know the other bride. 20 min should not make the quality of the food go down. I could go on and on. Then they told me it would take 20 min to flip the room from ceremony to reception it took an hour which wouldn't have been so bad of my guests had drinks during cocktail hour.
When I complained they said that's because I had draping done to make the venue more elegant. I was never told that if I draped the venue it would take longer to flip the room. Because the draping wasn't taken down until the end of the night. The draping was tied back after the ceremony. I had to scream and cry on my wedding day and my family traveled hundreds of miles to be with me and were not hosted properly. I am hurt and embarrassed. Don't let the good price fool you. Visions catered my wedding back in October and while working with Visions prior to and even during was pleasant, my disappointment comes after-the-fact. Unfortunately during my wedding, a Visions employee managed to steal over $1,000 in cash, checks and gift cards off of the gift table. Through an investigation with the Greensboro Police Department, Visions was able to identify this man and he has since been arrested.
Unfortunately during this investigation, it was brought to my attention that Visions knowingly hired this previously convicted felon and was fully aware of his very extensive criminal background. Despite these circumstances, Visions' owner, Karen Willette, was very hard to get in touch with and did not return many of my calls, texts or emails.
I do appreciate Visions willingness to identify the perpetrator, however I am very disappointed in the lack of sympathy on their behalf or even attempt to give a refund for our losses. After dealing with Visions in this capacity, I truly question Visions' business model and efforts for proper customer satisfaction. In my opinion, Visions seems to be placing its focus on the gain of new business instead of treating customers with respect and compassion.
I have held off writing this review as I experienced great customer service before and during my wedding but the lack of empathy and communication during this matter has me disappointed that a business would treat customers this way. I would highly encourage brides or other prospects to take Visions hiring practices into careful consideration when choosing this company & would not wish this on anyone else.

My wedding buffet food was cold! I was worried this might happen. I first meet Visions at Castle McCulloch bridal show. That's where I got married last month and chose to go with visions because at the time they were a preferred vendor, they are no longer. The first time I had there food it was warm. The second show I went to and Visions was the first vendor I saw at the castle and ate the food.
It was cold. I brought it up to the chef because I had a appointment to meet with them next week to discuss my wedding. He said the food wouldn't be cold at the wedding, it was, and I was pretty upset. We went to meeting at Visions and was served a nice dinner and discussed linens. The meeting went great. The food was good, and the pricing wasn't to bad.
They serve you what they want to, you don't get to chose or try the dishes you are ordering for your wedding. We ended up getting 3 apps mini grilled cheese with tomato bisque shooters, chicken trumpets, and caprese salad skewers. I never got to try any as I was busy getting photos done so I can't comment on how they were. For dinner we got pasta, mashed potato bar, prime roast, chicken dish.
Everything was cold, and the chicken dish was disgusting! I payed extra to rent tables for cocktail hour. When I arrived at the castle wedding day they only had half the tables I wanted out on the patio. I don't know if they forgot the other tables or what but I payed $12 per table and they weren't there. It ended up raining so cocktail hour was brought inside and that was a blessing in disguise because they wasn't enough tables for people to sit at!
The staff at the wedding worked very hard and placed my tables just like I had planned and the was the best part of the service. I did all my own decorations and they had everything exactly where I wanted it. They were hard working and I was very happy how friendly and great they were. I would not recommend them to do your food at the wedding!

I booked Visions for my daughters wedding because a friend of ours used them and the food was good. Everything was wonderful when we had our first meeting with them to taste some of the food and to book the event. Once booked we got somewhat of a runaround. My son-in-law works out of town Monday to Thursday and Visions would not accommodate us for a food tasting when he was available.
We had a final meeting with them a couple weeks before the wedding (no tasting available) and made our choices. There were a few simple things that we were very specific about for the day of the wedding. First and foremost, we asked them to place the plates on the buffet table instead of on the tables. Because we were doing this, we SPECIFICALLY told them to inspect the plates for cleanliness before placing on the table.
I had to go through 5 plates before I found one that did not have dried food on it. One of the meats for the buffet were the sirloin tips. I could not eat mine it was so tough and raw and there were alot more peppers and onions in the pan than meat. Very disappointing. The wait staff did not coordinate and served all the appetizers to the same section.
Many guests never received any and asked me what they were serving. The bartender never served the alcohol that I provided (and paid for the mixers) and then I was told that the bar would shut down at 8:15 when the reception lasted until 9 PM. We had cupcakes instead of cake and the waitstaff was supposed to pass them out to the guests. They never did.
I tried to contact the owner by phone and was asked to email my concerns. I have now sent her 2 emails (days apart) and she doesn't have the common courtesy to speak to me. Marlene P

We hired the wonderful folks at Visions Catering for our daughter's wedding reception. From day one we found them pleasant, helpful and so very easy to work with. They made preparation so easy, any change we wanted to make was just a phone call away. We were even able to make some minor changes the day before the event with no problem. Our guests were so impressed with the reception.
They have gushed about the friendly and helpful staff. No matter what the request they responded with gracious care. The food was excellent and guests were very happy with that as well. The staff even brought appetizers and drinks out to the bridal party as they were taking pictures before entering the reception area. The room was set up perfectly and the experience was overall excellent.
It was so nice to have a company we could trust to just take care of everything and not require us to take the time to supervise everything that happened. Thank you Visions Catering for making my daughter's day such a great experience!

My husband and I were looking for a caterer for our wedding in Greensboro, NC. We thought we had exhausted all of our options until we discovered Visions Catering. We had a very easy time setting up and appointment fr a consultation as they have very flexible hours. We were even able to get out there on a Sunday to meet up with them which was super helpful since we lived over an hour away and getting there during the week was hard.
After our initial meeting and tasting, we knew this would be the best company for us to use. We had decided on doing a heavy appetizer/dessert menu for wedding and they were able to work with us to get every question answered and to suggest a bunch of great options and ideas. Our menu consisted of some of their signature items as well as items we came up with ourselves.
It was so reasonably priced, I couldn't believe it. For around $17 per person we got all of the food, linens, plates and silverware, the staff, and $300 toward our bar tab. The day of the wedding was just as smooth as the menu planning process was. Their staff was professional, efficient, and all around fantastic. They set up everything the way we wanted it, including all of our centerpieces and other decor.
We truly didn't have to worry about a thing the whole day. Overall, the experience was amazing. I would highly recommend them for any event. They were our favorite vendor to work with for our big day. They deserve an A+!
