We hired Hey Mister DJ for our son's Bar Mitzvah. Lee and his team were amazing throughout the entire process. The party was 30 kids wired on sugar and the DJ/MC team were simply great. They had all the kids dancing, playing games, and having a wonderful time. The kids were toast by the end of the party. Perfect!

DJ Lee came through at our eleventh hour request and delivered an entertaining virtual reception for our global corporate conference. Lee customized the virtual backgrounds to match our event theme, played music that went with the vibe we were going for, and had a variety of games/challenges planned out. He also surprised us by having MC John and MC Luis join us and even more life/laughter to the after-party. As an event organizer, it was wonderful to hear attendees say "what a fun way to end the day". I highly recommend DJ Lee and his team!

We hired DJ Lee for a corporate awards show as a co-host. He nailed the role and set the bar so high for future awards celebrations! The attendees were engaged and we received such great feedback about the show. He even held an afterparty for the group and we played name that tune. The owner, Lee, worked with our company leading up to our big holiday event to ensure that all DJ & lighting needs were met. He prepped by visiting the venue prior to the event to guarantee the day-of operation of sound and lighting would run smoothly. Everything from the GoBo projection to the fun DJ set was absolutely perfect and kept the energy up!

We had a work dinner, wanted chill/lounge vibes with nice lighting. (adding lighting made a big difference) Execution was perfect, stress free. Lee had a great attitude and was professional until the very end. Highly recommend him.

I was originally just looking for a DJ that I could trust to play good music, but Lee showed me that the right DJ does sooo much more. Before the wedding, he used his knowledge and expertise to help guide us towards the right flow and schedule for the evening, and I instantly knew we were in great hands. Amazing. Who knew virtual events could be so good. Our event was 3 hrs long and our audience wanted to continue into the night. Lee and team know exactly what they are doing and are able to easily adapt to different needs. We had two large and very different "Oscar" style events and Lee and team nailed them both. Lee is fantastic! We hired Lee back in 2019 to DJ our wedding. He stuck with us through the pandemic craziness for the last 2.5 years and finally made our wedding dreams come true on June 5, 2021. The custom wedding website he provides is super helpful! My husband and I had fun filling out the wedding questionnaire/playlist and choosing all our music with Lee.

The music Lee played from cocktail hour to dinner to the dance party was perfect! He even helped us out with a Star Wars themed La Hora Loca. He also provided amazing lighting for our reception. It was the party of our dreams!

I'm a professional in the entertainment business affairs, but didn't have have any current contacts to provide audio and video for a small, but important private event. Lee Dyson to the rescue - he was responsive, competent, friendly, professional and knowledgeable - with less than 48 hours notice, he provided pro-caliber sound and video (even taking time to tweak some of the.jpgs the family wanted to show on a video screen at the event). Lee's responsive and understood what we needed -- most importantly, he was on site to ensure that everything worked without a hitch. BTW, Lee also provided the perfect musical ambiance after the speeches. The sound, video and music truly elevated our event.

Lee is the man! He thinks of everything so that at the wedding you are fully prepared. Everything from pronunciations & emphasis of people's names to having a very clear timeline (that is easy to set up with him) makes for a stress free wedding and a night of fun! During the wedding, Lee would always check in with us and make sure that we are ready to move into the speeches or move into the dances or move into the cake cutting, etc.

This allowed us to be in control instead of having a rogue DJ that had their own schedule. This was super professional and courteous. He played all the specialty songs that we wanted, and he asked us for a general ideas list of the other type of music that we wanted. Be sure to be very clear about what is a must play vs. the general ideas list. We made sure that the last 3 songs were must play, and he was sure to play them.

Throughout the event, Lee went around and made sure that the speakers were the right level and that everything was working and not too quiet or too loud. During the ceremony, he mic'd the quartet and mic'd the officiant. Providing a mic for the quartet is a MUST! This was his idea, and it was so much better having them amplified. Both our venue loved him and the wedding planner loved him as well. He is a genius at reading the crowd and choosing the PERFECT next song. He kept everyone dancing and singing the entire night.

We needed a DJ for our wedding reception and we did our homework and syphoned through hundreds of reviews in Yelp and other search engines and finally decided on Hey Mister DJ. So glad we did. Lee was super awesome. From the beginning to the end. He guided us through what was going to be an awesome night. And it was! All because Lee knew the tempo and timing of what was and will happen at our reception.

We just had to give him names and times and he took cared of the rest. The music was flowing with great beats continuously and he read the room to a tee. If you are looking for an awesome DJ, somebody easy to work with, someone with experience with a great music collection- call Lee. He will take care of you from start to end. We had so many compliments from our guests about Lee. Very much happy with our decision. Will definitely use Lee again for future functions. You rock Lee!

Lee was awesome and had so many great ideas to make sure the ceremony and reception went smoothly. He was professional and really knew how to keep the dance floor going. Everyone loved the music and the photo booth. He also gave us digital copies and a photo album with all of the photos everyone took throughout the night. 'Elle A Events' recently had the pleasure of working with Lee for our clients wedding at Triunfo Creek Vineyard and he was incredible! Our client happened to be his neighbor, but after checking his reviews it was to no surprise that they wanted to use him for their big day. He kept the energy up and guests on their feet despite the freezing cold weather.

He was extremely professional and adhered to the timeline perfectly. He was always there to offer a helping hand and we look forward to working with him in the future. He was great!

My husband and I used Hey Mister DJ for our December wedding at Carondelet House. Lee is a really nice guy and I think that he did a great job. He played everything we asked and was easy to communicate with. He also made some great recommendations about lighting. When we added an hour of bar time to our timeline he didn't charge any extra. Probably the only vendor that ever said that to me all year!

The only negative was that we didn't want to do a first dance bc we didn't want to have a weddingy type wedding. We had explained the no first dance thing from the start. We sort of got talked into it after dinner and then awkwardly stood around waiting to do it while people stared at us and then danced to a song we don't remember. Probably mostly our fault for just not saying no but we felt a little pressured.

I guess the venue wanted to clear the dining room and move people into the other room or something. We really didn't care where people went and had made arrangements with the venue to let people stay in the dining room. We had tried to set up a lounge type atmosphere with nooks and different patios anyway. I do feel like we had strongly communicated that the reception would be casual and that we didn't want to do a first dance so it was a little bit awkward that it came up the night of. Not a huge deal.

Yes! 5 stars. We made a last minute decision to hire a DJ for our holiday party. Hey Mister DJ was a preferred vendor at our party location. Lee was prompt with his communications, on budget and overall, easy to work with. He knew exactly what we wanted, and it was executed perfectly. DJ Ethan was on time, read the crowd like a magician, and kept the energy up!

I have never been to a holiday party where the dance floor was packed for 3 hours straight. Over the last few days, almost every employee (110 in attendance) has told me how awesome the DJ was. If it wasn't for DJ Ethan, our party may have been a dud. But he saved us! I just wish I would have know about Hey Mister DJ when I was getting married last year. they are that good people!

I hired Lee for my Casino Night event at Cheesecake Factory on November 18, 2016 and he did an amazing job. He was easy to work with and responded quickly to questions. He was awesome at blending songs from one to the next and keeping my clients entertained. I would definitely hire him again!

Lee is a pro and a breeze to work with. After we first met him, we immediately felt confident in his expertise and ability to work a crowd. I was very particular with not wanting a stereotypical "cheesy wedding DJ" and Lee is totally cool, no cheese at all. Lee did a great job of pulling songs from our playlist while adding in some of his own (great) choices when he felt like it was needed.

So many of our guests commented on how much they loved the music at our wedding! Also, the lighting package we ended up renting through Lee worked out great. It really brought an otherwise boring room to life. There were many things I was stressed about leading up to the big day, but the DJ was not one of them - I had full confidence in Lee and he really did a wonderful job.

I was lucky enough to have Lee as my wedding DJ, and couldn't have been happier with his services! He also helped with sound for my ceremony, and provided additional microphones for the reader and officiant. Lee also went above and beyond by helping me with the timing of the first dance, father/daughter and mother/son songs and edited them to be exactly how I wanted.

Their website has a playlist functionality so it was easy to choose the songs I did not want, and had to have played at the wedding. Lee also helped me with lighting services for the venue, which looked amazing. Lee is a great person, so fun to work with, and provides exceptional service. I highly, highly recommend him!

We used Hey Mister DJ for our wedding and it was a great choice! Unfortunately Lee was already booked but we used Chris and he was AMAZING! The dance floor was packed the entire night! Some guests even complained that they didn't eat as much as they wanted to because they were too busy dancing! Chris played exactly the type of music we wanted and did a great job reading the crowd.

He kept announcements to a minimum and didn't make any weird jokes. All of our guests were raving about DJ Chris at the end of the night! Thanks DJ Chris for helping make our night so memorable!

Our wedding DJ was Jason aka DJ Cave. Lee's protocol at Hey Mr. DJ is that clients send a "Must Play, " "Try to Play, " and "Do Not Play" list - Jason played all our favorites, incorporated songs we hadn't though of, and kept the dance floor moving all night long! My husband and I stayed on the dance floor all night, which is pretty atypical for a the bride and groom. Jason understood our tastes and catered to them, while also playing crowd favorites that kept others on the dance floor.

The next day my body was totally sore from all the dancing! Both Jason and Lee were also pleasure to work with - they are cool and laid-back while also be assertive and organized. Highly recommended!

After interviewing a handful of highly recommended DJs, I'm so glad to have worked w/ a professional like Lee Dyson of HeymisterDJ who knows what he's doing. As anyone will tell you. music, lighting, ambiance -- these are critical elements --- and to a BRIDE on her wedding day, these are of utmost importance to ensure a beautiful day! Thanks to Lee, our wedding turned into a great big dance party (just as we requested) because we wanted to emphasize LOVE & FUN.

Jason was amazing. So glad we ended up with him as our DJ. He was super responsive, full of ideas, and very accommodating to our needs. Day of the wedding he was there early setting up (for 4 different set-ups!) and did so with a smile. He was very professional throughout the entire process. DJ Lee made some really helpful suggestions after he saw our timeline. Our crowd of friends don't really dance much, but he kept a great mix of music that everyone chilled to. He was open to suggestions for music and was totally professional and not cheesy which was just what we wanted. He was also flexible with last minute changes. Great DJ, could not recommend enough!

Can't we give MORE than 5 stars? Well.just so you know, we're actually rating him at like 100. Hey Mister DJ was quite possibly our BEST decision in this whole wedding process. Lee was so amazingly awesome to work with. We can't stop receiving compliments on all the music! We were determined to find an amazing DJ who 'got' what kind of music we wanted.and even more determined to find a DJ who didn't come with all that wedding 'cheese'.

We found that in Lee of Hey Mister DJ. Lee understood exactly what we were looking for and took our taste in music and ran with it. He was also so helpful in suggesting tips for our wedding, suggestions and recommendations on other vendors, and never ONCE pressured us into saying 'yes' to his services.
