I was married there in March 2015. Very private and organized. No witnesses are allowed to stand before you. All vows are shared between the wedding couple only. It was an additional $100 to bring 4 people. It helped out with photographs. There are a few negative reviews. However, the requirements to get married at the chapel are thoroughly discussed prior to the wedding day.

No one is allowed to wait in the parking lot or nearby businesses until you exit. It's a private and quiet location. If you're looking to marry the person God sent, then don't allow the negativity stand in your way. Beautiful and peaceful place to get married. Best Wishes

I got married at Teacup Wedding in 2010 and hoped to renew my vows there in a couple years. The package offered is different, but I was still surprised to read any negative reviews. Karla was professional, friendly and walked us through the whole process--and even took pictures with and for us after the ceremony. She had a wonderful energy around her and I never felt like she was judging my children.

The package is very precise and if you follow the package contracts as written, you will have no problems. I cannot imagine agreeing to a set amount of guests and then assuming I could sneak 1-2 more in on the day of the wedding. It is very clear on the website what the rules are. We wanted a small zen wedding (this is no longer available) and it was a unique and positive experience. No complaints here!

Rude, discourteous - more like a funeral home than a Chapel. Seemed to really dislike the fact that two men were getting married - gave a really bad impression. The first thing the officiant did is bring up the contract in front of us - and point out violations that we had two children there - aged only 13 and 14 - and she forced them to be alone in the parking lot and would not allow them to be inside.

At first, she wanted them to be OFF SITE - meaning they had to leave the parking lot and stand across the street in the ROAD with traffic. How horrible is this? We had to convince her to let them stay ALONE in the parking lot in the car.

This is a very nice place to be married. I did my research and I found them to be the most professional, and reasonably priced place of this kind anywhere in the area. Email was very prompt and phone calls were answered (except for one time when a ceremony was taking place - and they returned my call very shortly after I left my voice message). We only paid $250 for a Saturday afternoon.

This place is pretty and fairly priced (dare I say cheap). The schedule was way better than the justice of the peace and court. Both of our parents and grandparents were with us which the court wouldn't allow (only two witnesses), I highly advise anyone looking to be married on short-notice or with only a few people in attendance to contact Teacup Wedding - Elope Michigan.

This place is a gem. I was so impressed by this place when I photographed other weddings here, I chose to get married here myself! If I could post photographs here in this review, you'd see how amazing our little wedding was. This is so much easier than making an appointment with the judge and was less money than Wayne county court charges. Anyone who wants to get married in a very pretty place without paying an arm and a leg should check them out. Highly recommend!

This place was perfect for us. Pretty, simple and stress-free. It was super easy to make the plan and they deliver on everything they advertise and more. We're out-of-state residents, but my parents and grandparents live in Michigan. When we got engaged, we knew we didn't want to to plan a big wedding. We are busy, and not comfortable being the center of attention.

We didn't want to get married at the courthouse because my Grandma and Grandpa did and always regretted it. We thought we would zip out to Las Vegas, but we wanted our family to be with us when we got married and be in our photos. We found their website and online booking to be very helpful. They were very responsive to all contacts and questions.

We were able to personally discuss details, and our request to proceed with as little ceremony as possible, was honored. And, the price was very low! This was exactly what we were looking for and we highly recommend this business!

My wife and I just got married at TeaCup Wedding and we could not have asked for a better experience. Karla provided a very calm and peaceful environment. Her calmness and eloquent tone helped us to relax and in no way did we ever feel rushed. The ceremony was very intimate and the music was perfect. It was a wonderful beginning to what will now be a long-filled, loving marriage.

The experience had a uniqueness that we are sure we would never find anywhere else and for that we are thankful. Thank you so much Karla and everyone else involved with TeaCup Wedding!

We renewed our vows on our 10th anniversary. Karla Groesbeck was available even though it was during the week - Thursday. Everything was very well done and exactly what we wanted. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to have a professional experience that they can be proud of, especially in front of their family and friends. In fact my cousin and his girlfriend who were at my vow renewal had her marry them too. She is really good at what she does and really easy to plan with.

I married my wife here in 2010, we searched for a place that was an all inclusive small scale type of wedding. We were only allowed a certain amount of people (I don;t recall what that amount was), but I remember asking her if we could have one extra. I was told we couldn't. This should have been my first clue. Anyways, we got to the wedding location 15 minutes early, thinking this would be preferrable, and the door was locked.

The owner told us she wasn't quite ready and she'd let us in to go over things shortly. It was hot out and my wife was already in her dress and makeup, mind you.so were the guests. After we got in and our guests arrived, she quickly went over the process, this whole time seeming quite aggravated by the 4 children under 10 that were there. The wedding itself went as expected, but after it was over she pretty much pushed us out the door.

It was almost surreal to us, because the instant my wife and I walked outside (we were the last ones out the door), we heard her lock the door immediatly. It seemed to us that this lady just wants to make her money and get you to leave. This is not the place to go for a couple looking to share an experience with family.it's meant as a place to elope, or get married on very short notice with very few guests.

We had an excellent experience when we were married here. It is a perfect place for a small wedding. All aspects of the services were exactly as described on their website. Very reasonably priced. Very professional service of the legal documents - marriage license. Easy to work with and friendly. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to be married without extensive wedding planning. ____________ When we came here to write our review and saw the review below by Travis Ehinger we were surprised that his experience could be drastically different than ours.

We googled his name and quick look at online public records show that: Travis and Sarah Ehinger were married on March 27, 2010 and his review was written almost 3 yrs later and that one week before posting this review he filed bankruptcy for 123,311.95 of misc. debt "journal gazette 11-25-12. Bankruptcy filing: Travis M. Ehinger, Fort Wayne, IN. Debt: 123,311.95. Assets: 2, 715" Looks like he's trying to dismiss his debts by claiming dissatisfaction (almost 3 years later) with a purchased service. Looks like his bankruptcy why he's so critical of this purchase that he wants to write off.

His review as a whole was unbelievable based on our experience. He says that they "arrived early" and had a short wait and that "it was hot out and my wife was already in her dress and makeup, mind you. so were the guests". Again a quick search of the temperature in Ann Arbor for his wedding date March 27, 2010 reports the high 48.9/low 33 degrees on this date.

Hard to imagine getting "hot" during a short wait outdoors when they "arrived early". Travis Ehinger also noted that they asked ".if we could have one extra. I was told we couldn't". When we chose our wedding package, for our expected number attending, and later discovered that several people wanted to bring a guest, we called and upgraded to the next package with no problems.

They were kind to our children and clear about our arrival time, and again, overall we had an excellent experience. I felt compelled to add this information to my review in fairness to this business that was everything that we could have asked for and more.
