Horrible service and unprofessional. Ordered a cake for a birthday celebration several weeks ago, when time comes to pick it up they completely forgot to make the cake. Talk about a sh**ty establishment. People order cakes for a reason and this idiotic store full of incompetent workers just ruined someone's 18th birthday. Never support this business because they pick and choose and literally ruin people's events due to the sheer carelessness. I wouldn't trust the food not to have hair in it lol.

Good cakes but taking the white chocolate shavings off the majority of the iconic White Alpine cake is a huge mistake. Pretty much looks like every other generic cake now and doesn't taste as good without the shavings everywhere. Bring it back to like it was!

I called ahead and ordered a dynasty cake for my mother's 80th birthday on Wednesday and they were very polite and very helpful then I came in there to pay for my cake today and I was very surprised how cheerful and polite everyone was they kept complaining about customer service on the reviews and I found that the customer service was the best I've had anywhere I've gone in a long time keep it

I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM ELITE SWEETS AGAIN! I called to ask Questions about a cake and was told one thing. Then called back a 1/2 later to order the cake and was given totally different information. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager answered the phone he said: "What the F%#K do you want?" And hung up on me! That is exactly what he said to me! My advise is to steer clear of this place.

Women who work there have the rudest customer service ever! Cakes are good but customer service is TERRIBLE. Same women who have been there for years! It's ridiculous how they treat customers. Just down right awful! Also, they took shaved chocolates off of the sides of the white alpine and still charging the same. Even if you request them, they won't add them! Between the lack of customer service and scrimping on the shavings now, time to find another bakery!

My choice of cake for my Birthday every year. They specialize in torte style cakes. There are always some available to purchase, but order ahead if you can. Beautifully decorated and hands down the best tasting cakes in the area that I am aware of. A little pricey, but well worth it. The photos on their site are an acurate representation of their products. Highly recommend.

Love this bakery, best German Chocolate cake every! My son who is 45 won't let me in unless I have one for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Excellent Cheese cakes too. The stuff is ALWAYS curious, never had a bad experience EVER!

Wow! What a beautiful wedding cake and delicious! Cannot thank you enough for squeezing us into a weekend with 6 other weddings and delivering and decorating at the DYC on Belle Isle! Outstanding!

Our cake was delicious and absolutely gorgeous! We've been using Elite Sweets for over 20 years and we've never been disappointed!

Very rude staff. I walked in to order two cakes. The first cake I asked about was not something they were able to make, which is fine, I knew it was a long shot. The second cake i wanted was literally in the case, but I didn't have an opportunity to ask for it because the woman turned around and walked away without asking me if I needed anything else.

I in no way indicated I was done ordering. I even stood there for a minute to see if she'd come back, and she just was working on other things. I then said to her I needed to order another cake, and she turned away from me. I guess it's great you're doing well enough you can just ignore customers. Won't be back.

The cakes are great but the customer service was not great. They sell their tortes during certain months. For example German Chocolate is June, August, October ect. I called at the end of August and asked if they could possibly make a German Chocolate cake for my dads 60th but it's in September. She said that of course they would still be able to make the cake for me, I would just have to call a week in advance to put the order in.

I was very happy because I have had my heart set on this cake for my dad and family and our friends to try. I ended up calling today September 8th to order and have it picked up on September 18th. The lady had a very rude tone and told me they do not make tortes out of their month. I told her I was told they could and she said no. I then said she should probably let other employees know so they don't tell customers they can when they cannot.

I was then told that they usually do make the tortes of of their months but this week they changed that. I said that it was weird and what are the odds that it all of a sudden changed the week I call. I was just extremely disappointed at how she handled it and her tone. She didn't even attempt to try and make it work for me. Also I would have even ordered a different cake from them but how she talked to me made me want to take my buisness elsewhere. Sorry elite sweets I guess the rumors are true about how crappy you treat your customers.

We were from out of town so had not known your bakery and selected Elite strictly on the basis of the internet! WOW! Our 10 chocolate mousse cake was an amazing presentation for our 90th birthday party? Thank you Elite Sweets! I wish we lived closer! All our guests were so impressed!

With a late notice, custom cake order I had pretty low expectations for how it would turn out. Was absolutely blown away with the result. Looked better than the reference photos I provided and tasted fantastic. Will be buying all my cakes from Elite Sweets from now on. And thank you for making my event one to remember with the gorgeous cake!

I picked up a tasty, well decorated half sheet cake on Saturday for a Sunday Bridal Shower. By Monday the cake was full of mold! Not a few spots of mold but, thick green fuzzy mold. I went back to the bakery and they instantly said "Well you should have kept it refrigerated". No one at the bakery EVER told me I needed to keep it in the refrigerator. The owner/manager said there is nothing he could do and was downright nasty about it. I will never use this bakery again or recommend them to anyone!

Best cakes. Happy they take credit now a days. My family have been going to elite sweets for the past 18 years.

Amazing job as always! They have great service and great desserts! We have been to a few cake places over the years and Elite Sweets is the best. They never disappoint.

Ordered a birthday cake somewhat last minute and they were very accommodating. Everyone raved about the cake (Chocolate raspberry chambord) and I was surprised that it was super reasonable. When I picked up the cake I also picked up some other goodies. They too were very tasty.

This place never fails! The cakes are delicious! And Rosemary does a wonderful job with the decorations. Everything is fresh and yummy!

My manager pre-ordered and pre-paid for a cake for my workers birthday. My coworker arrived to pick it up and was told they did not have one there for her under either of their names. The bakery then suggested that she purchase a cake from the display so she did. She comes back to work with the cake and it was nearing lunch so takes a picture to show our manager later and to thank her.

After we do the lunch celebration she sends the pic of the cake and she said that it looked pretty small. My coworker explained what happened and found out she that she been duped into purchasing a second cake. They call the bakery and were told that the cake must have been being worked on when she came in, that she could pick up the original cake, and receive a refund for the display cake that she did not need but purchased because she was told there was no cake ordered for her.

Upon arriving there Robert advises her that she would not be any refunds after that was offered on the phone because the cake was not returned (during COVID), we only learned of the error after the cake was cut. Long story short, 2 cakes were purchased because of Elite Sweets mistake and only one was needed. They didn't even offer to refund the pre paid cake that they stated no order existed for (their mistake). So over a $22 cake and easily fixable error Elite Sweets is cancelled! Now because of their lack of owning up to their mistake I'm forced to write this review.

We've only ordered this one cake so far but, we wil be returning customers. They were very easy to work with for a sheet cake for my son's birthday. I sent them an email including the image I wanted on it and what was to be written on it. It was a chocolate cake with with white chocolate creme in the center. It was most and delicious! Most importantly, my son was happy. Thank you, Elite Sweets!

Elite Sweets is the place to be. Their stuffed cupcakes are phenomenal. The buttercream frosting is the perfect blend, not too sweet. Highly recommend!

Fantastic! We had two cakes done by Elite Sweets and they were both excellent. The black Forest by far was my favorite! It was moist and fresh, had almost like a flaky crust layer in the middle, was very different than anything I have had before. The other cake was white chocolate raspberry they did for a baby shower. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a great cake. They have so many unique flavors to pick from.can't wait to try more!

I've only tried Hazelnut Cappuccino Cake from this place and nothing but, but the cake I tried was amazing. Oh my goodness, I really highly recommend this cake. This delicious cake consisted of repeated layers of chocolate chiffon cake and mocha cinnamon mousse loaded with hazelnut bits. The chocolate chiffon cake was nice and moist, but the star of the show was definitely the mousse layers between those chiffon cakes that were very smooth in texture with slight and pleasant crunch from the hazelnut bits in them.

The mousse wasn't too sweet, it was just perfectly made and delicious. I also really liked how the whole cake was frosted with buttercream that wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. If you're ever in Livonia area in Michigan, I highly recommend trying this bakery.

Got another cake custom made from here, still the best. Exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered the cake. My favorite is the Alpine White Torte And I decided I wanted to turn it into a birthday cake for my friends birthday. So fluffy and delicious, everyone raved about the cake and how they requested it for their birthdays - wish they made a cupcake version!

The torts are very delicious however the service that you receive is based on the color of your skin. We did not receive a warm greeting like others when we entered the bakery. We will take our business to another bakery that does not discriminate.

We got our 3-tier wedding cake from Elite Sweets, and it was delicious. We had the strawberry shortcake, alpine white, and the basic chocolate flavors.our guests loved them. The design was beautiful as well. The only thing that could have improved our experience was the communication. We felt there were slight discrepancies in communication, but we also had to plan our wedding from states away.

I still highly recommend Elite Sweets! Word to the wise: save money on cake by getting a smaller cake to cut, and a larger sheet cake to keep in the back.the guests won't even notice and you'll save money!
