Wow! The Mackey House team. Shelley, Dave and their staff are superb. Our daughter and son-n-law's wedding was so enjoyable for us because of their great service. As parents of the bride, our recommendation is to let them do their thing. Let Dave direct, assist in planning and DJ. He's amazing and your children, family and guests will have a great time of celebration.

Absolutely beautiful venue! I have worked at the Mackey House many many times since 2014 and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this gorgeous space for weddings. Additionally, they have recently added a new covered outdoor space, which is beautiful! I love the addition and the ability for couples to have bigger weddings in the space. The gardens at the venue are immaculate and beautiful! Very well kept and such a beautiful setting for a wedding! Highly recommend this venue for couples getting married in Savannah!

Had the most beautiful wedding. Everyone said it was like a fairytale. Thank you Dave for coordinating everything. Property is beautiful. The catering was absolutely amazing with carved tender brisket. One of the best days of my life.

Got married here on 3/28/2022 during the morning. Beautiful venue with lots of space. No complaints. We read on the Knot about an issue with day of coordination so we brought our own and didn't experience any issues in the planning phase with Mackey House. "Groom" ready room is not as spacious as bridal ready room and seems a bit like an afterthought but functional. Beware that the deck now has a roof (that's not all wood) and plastic siding.

Essentially making it a hot box during a warm day. Even though the plastic sides were drawn back, it was still hot and the dance floor is right in the middle of the sun. I'm sure they will add more fans but I'm not sure there's much that can be done with regards to the dance floor. Maybe just remember this if having a wedding during the day time. Thankfully, their on site people were very helpful and attentive. When they were notified that we were hot, they brought fans out for us at the table. Would totally recommend them over and over again.

Beautiful grounds, amazing setting for a wedding. Perfect for an outdoor event. Definitely would recommend this place to others.

My friend recently got married here and I was in the wedding. The bride's room is beautiful and well set-up, and the event planners were available and helpful with our requests (such as when we needed a steamer for the veil). The venue itself is very pretty, with several outdoor options for the ceremony, as well as first-floor patio and second-floor balcony areas for the reception.

Beautiful home for events. The only areas that need renovation or update are the bathrooms. Other than that, the grounds were beautiful.

Beautiful venue! Definitely recommend. All the greenery is amazing. The staff was also very nice.

Elegant, quaint venue with plenty of charm to spare! Went to a friend's destination wedding and it more than lived up to expectations. The house coordinator was professional and polite during my interactions with him. For constructive feedback, I would recommend having additional toilets available (they were up to code with the number of guests at the event; it would have been nice to have one or two more). If you are looking for a private, intimate venue tucked away with plenty of options this is a great option.

It was so amazing. Beautiful inside and out. I loved just sitting on swing on top floor relaxing. The people were great too.

What a great service, experience and well maintained house. Beautiful wedding location.

My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams here. It was simply incredible. The staff was helpful and understanding throughout the whole process. DJ Dave was also outstanding as a DJ and day of coordinator. We could not have picked a better place to get married! The grounds are beautiful filled with stunning plants and flowers. Everything on the grounds is kept up so well that nothing ever looks out of place!

We were looking to get married rather quickly thanks to Covid, and after searching through a bunch of places in Savannah we came across the Mackey House. Everything was coordinated online and via phone. The staff was very responsible and followed a checklist of items that was helpful for us to organize ourselves; they even asked us things we forgot to consider during the planning.

Shout out to Dave, the event manager, who was courteous, thoughtful, and went out of his way to make our small celebration possible! The property is quite nice and expansive, and there are various areas to choose from in terms of the reception. They are also expanding the facilities on the property as well. I think the Mackey House does a good job at offering a variety of options for any wedding party, large or small.

They have two very nice ready rooms, and like I said before, very professional. Everything ran like clockwork. You could even host other events and celebrations here, not just weddings. Very picturesque. Hope to get a chance to go back one day!

We had our expensive reception at the Mackey House. It was a disaster! They quoted us a price and tried to jack-up the price quoted to us in person. We had the paper work to fight them over their jacked-up price. We brought our own liquor and they catered the food for thousands of dollars. After the event, they tried to steal OUR liquor and would not give us the left over food.

My mother who paid for the food griped and complained and they reluctantly gave us OUR FOOD! These people are nothing but a SCAM! The house is no big deal and it's not worth the deception, lies and scams you endure. They should be shut down. Don't walk away.run away! Better yet, don't use em. SCAM ARTISTS!

I was quite impressed actually. The only negative I could think of is that you drive through a camper site and thought I was lost but saw the Mackey House Sign. I suggest they file for a different driveway if possible but after you pass the motorhomes you are in a beautiful setting. I was a guest at a wedding so my angle was from the guests perspective but I know the groom well and I know they liked how everything went.

Great area upstairs on the porch that sat all of us comfortably with room for the band and a dance floor. The wedding happened on the lawn with a gazebo type arrangement for the bride and groom. It was lovely. There is a good parking area that is out of sight but convenient. The bride and groom exited the front of the building and they did sparklers. It was beautiful. Overall, I feel this is a god spot in close proximity to Savannah that seems very affordable and very nice.

Flew in from New York to visit the property for a potential wedding location. We were less than impressed. The wedding coordinator spoke a million miles an minute coming off as very junior and unprofessional. Once we were told that we were responsible for cleaning up after the event that was it. You can arrive 3 hours prior to the start and the coordinator said that everyone should really come with hair and makeup already done prior to arrival.

There is nothing convenient about the Mackey House and it definitely has that wedding factory feel even though you have to bring in all the vendors. It's just a southern style house in the middle of nowhere.

Great venue, great staff for corporate events, weddings, private affairs. Very classy with southern hospitality. Grade: A
