The story of Special Moments Event Planning began over sixteen years ago when Tammy escaped the day-to-day rigors of corporate America to open an event planning firm that valued the beauty of the day as much as the details. The ideal Special Moments couples are adventure-seeking, hoping to create a day that is both unique and memorable.
There is no "I" in team. I know, you have probably heard that before. But, we know that a wedding is a huge undertaking and Special Moments Event Planning is much bigger than just one person. While Tammy is the Lead Dream Maker it takes an entire team in our offices to make everything come together seamlessly; not to mention the amazing team of talented Tampa Bay Area wedding professionals who help us bring your dream day to life.
It can be a long walk to that short aisle and we are dedicated to helping you make that wedding planning journey easy, fun and memorable! We have various levels of service that have been very popular with our couples over the years and are listed below. We offer everything from Full-Service Planning & Design to Wedding Day Management (Month of Coordination).
Each event is unique and different. The scope of each event is a little different depending on the location, size and your specific tastes, budget, and needs. I have been meaning to write this post for almost two years, and because Tammy is just that AWESOME, I have to share our experience with you. My (destination) wedding was planned for 4/4/2020, around the start of the pandemic. Given the uncertainty of our vendors and guest availability, we postponed our ceremony with family/friends to a later date. Tammy was amazing with helping me and hubby arrange a small, private ceremony so that we could keep our April date.
It was special and she did a spectacular job with making everything go so seamlessly. With all the uncertainty with logistics, she did not overlook a single thing! There were so many little details about wedding planning that the average person is likely to forget; Tammy and her team made sure every detail was perfect and made sure we had the wedding of our dreams.

Tammy was an incredible asset to our wedding weekend! She helped with everything from finding quality and reasonably priced vendors, to keeping us on track with what we should be focused on month by month, week by week. Where do I even begin! If you are getting married locally or are a bride from out of state doing a destination wedding, you NEED to hire Tammy Waterman. My sister got married on 10/15/21. She hired Tammy because her primary residence is in MD and she needed help coordinating pretty much EVERYTHING due to a very hectic work and travel schedule. I had the opportunity to work closely with Tammy for 5 months during the planning process and she is the most organized, professional, dedicated, hard working, down to earth (and I could go on and on) person I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
Her years of experience in the business were apparent from the get go and she is always one step ahead with recommendations to make your wedding perfect. I honestly don't know what I would have done without the support of Tammy and her team to help plan my sister's wedding from 1,000 miles away. Special Moments Events, both Tammy and Jennifer, were pivotal in the success of our wedding. While I acquired most of the vendors prior to reaching out to Special Moments, they made sure nothing fell through the cracks! Special Moments also printed our menu cards and seating chart, which were both perfect! Jennifer was our event day coordinator, and she worked extremely hard to make sure everything went off without a hitch. I do not know what I would have done without Special Moments. There are not enough words to explain how wonderful the whole team is at Special Moments. They are the full package and then some. My wedding was PERFECT, AMAZING, FLAWLESS, STUNNING, they have a warehouse full of surprises to use for a destination wedding! I cannot say enough good things about Tammy and her team. My husband and I planned our big, dream wedding in March and Tammy made every part of the process seamless. But, as a pandemic bride, restrictions required us to cancel our big day and re-plan a much smaller, private ceremony to keep everyone we love safe from COVID. Tammy helped me make all of the changes and coordinate with vendors.
I really couldn't have gotten through this without her. Our wedding wasn't what we planned, but I know what we planned would have been perfect and what ended up really happening was still beautiful. Every bride should hire Special Moments!

I can not begin to say enough about this company. With almost 3 weeks left to our wedding, Tammy and Jennifer and her assistants did EVERYTHING to make our day EASY, BREEZY and BEAUTIFUL. Jennifer listened to EVERYTHING we said, and she put it all into action. She was responsive to EVERYTHING, she was in constant contact with us and made sure that OUR needs were met, and they were absolutely met! They're inexpensive, and they are worth MUCH MUCH more. I highly recommend this company for ANY wedding or party planning. I promise they wont disappoint.

Tammy jumped right in and took over everything. Any question I had she was already on it. Tammy was there without hesitation and went light years beyond I could have imagined any event planner doing. Tammy made my husband and I feel extra special with a super sweet ending to our wedding night that you'll have to hire her to find out my husband and I still can't get over how PERFECT our wedding days was and we owe so much of it to Tammy Waterman and her team at Special Moments.
