I can't speak highly enough of Aric Hoek and Solaris Studios. It was very easy to schedule an appointment and the result was spectacular. He did not only capture an impressive business headshot, but also provided additional value by suggesting amazing poses for my book. I really thank him for his outstanding work and support. I was easily able to schedule an appointment online, I received an email confirmation immediately, I received an email reminder, and Aric called me on the day of the appointment. Aric did an incredible job on my headshot. I selected the alternative backgrounds, which I thought was well worth it. The whole process took less than an hour between the pictures and the edits.

Within an hour and a half of leaving, I received an email with a link to all of the pictures for me to download (different backgrounds, different sizes, and different resolutions). The quality was amazing.

If you live in the Houston area and need a headshot (and quickly!), look no further. I'm never really excited about having photos taken but Aric made the process comfortable and easy. I was able to check availability and book online, and received confirmation of my appointment right away, along with directions for finding his home studio and guidelines for what to wear for the best results.

I enjoyed sitting with him while he edited and explained the process. It was interesting and he's a genuinely nice guy with a great artistic eye. My photo was available to download within a couple of hours after the shoot. An overall great experience!

Aric was great to work with - ready on time and done super quickly. If you have time I'd suggest staying after so he can walk you through the post-production process. It's extremely interesting and it's cool to know what he did to get to the final product. Bonus points - I had to reschedule my original booking and he had me an appointment one week later within minutes.

I was facing a very tight deadline and I was so lucky to find Aric. I called him and within 30 minutes I was at his studio creating this masterpiece. He had many styles on the wall to show the range of what he could do. He was not your basic point and shoot photographer what was done should have taken days or weeks. We talked about my needs and what I wanted he came up with the perfect solution and took many shots while having a very easy conversation with me and put me at ease.

Next thing we were going through the photos, selected a great shot and he amazed me with how quickly he could make all the adjustments that you would want while capturing a very real image. I called at 10 met with him at 1030 and by noon I was back at my office and my final images were in my email ready for my magazine article and new business cards. I am very impressed with the service, speed, and talent that Aric provided. I highly recommend Aric for any of your photography needs.

Mr. Hoek's passion for photography was apparent from the start after I explained what services I needed. After our conversation, I scheduled my Headshot shoot. Coming out of a COVID year I was especially not looking forward to a headshot for my company photo. As most of us have gained a little weight during it. However, Aric is super talented and was able to shoot the right angles, lighting, and touch up where needed. I completed a professional headshot session with Aric yesterday. As someone who is very picky and extremely discerning when it comes to quality, I was totally impressed by Aric's expert knowledge of his craft, attention to detail, and ability to produce an extremely high quality professional photo as the end product. Aric is amazing. I HATE most photographs of myself (as I told Aric multiple times), and I was dreading getting a headshot done. All of my fears went away the moment I stepped into his studio. We trekked from central Houston, and boy was it worth it. I loved that it was so easy to book an appointment online, and I was able to get into see him today after booking yesterday, and I already have my photos back.

He is also amazing about editing anything that you may need, so you don't need to worry about a thing. He took a ton of photos, and he narrowed it down to two different smile types to choose from. Then his magic of editing begins to ensure that it is perfect. I couldn't do any justice trying to describe it. My husband initially thought I was paying a lot for a headshot, but when we left, he said Aric was well worth the investment.

Arik did our wedding on St. Patrick's day and was very sympathetic to my wedding day nausea, he made sure to get the best/flattering angles of my husband and I. I am so thankful for him. He captured so many special facial expressions of surprise and yet was hardly noticeably seen (like a ninja). He had great ideas for staged photos and helped lighten the mood (again I thought I was going to puke.but you couldn't tell from the photos).I highly recommend!
