Raleigh Wedding DJ and Video

This team was the most fun to work with on a recent wedding. The music was good, they were super organized and they did a great job of giving the bridal party what they wanted and keeping everything moving. I really hope we work with them many times in the future!

Amanda and James from Raleigh Wedding DJ were a highlight of our wedding. Rather than play our exact requests, they spun the list into a set had everyone dancing, from children, young adults, and even the most stoic dad's in the room. They even brought glowsticks to pass around near the end of the night. Afterwards, everyone told us how much fun they had, and how much they appreciated Amanda's ability to MC and let everyone know what to expect. Amanda was especially organized and used her year's of experience to help shape the flow of our reception in planning meetings. Not to mention, they were very affordable compared to bigger companies and we were glad to support a local, family business.

My husband and I used Raleigh Wedding DJ and Video on February 24th this year for our ceremony and reception. They showed up early to set up and were on point the whole night. The disco lights made it fun and everyone had a blast! Amanda and James were so sweet and helpful throughout the whole process. Also, they let my husband and I do a karaoke performance which was special to us. They were reasonably priced. I would recommend using them for your next DJ service.

We hired Raleigh Wedding DJ and Video for a corporate Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting event last Friday. Amanda was very professional and showed up early to set up, bringing microphones for our event speakers and our pre-planned music ready to keep the party going! She gave helpful suggestions ahead-of-time, came with all equipment necessary (even a last-minute special request of an easel), and took up minimal space at our event. We will definitely hire this company again in the future! 5-stars!

I coordinated a wedding with Amanda and Mr. James and I was blown away with their service. They arrived on time, set up with plenty of time to sound check and get ready before guests arrived. They read the room so well and knew when to switch a song to keep the dance floor going.

I cannot say enough good things about Amanda and James. They were very responsive and I never had an issue getting in contact with them! They were prepared for both our ceremony and reception and I love that they take guest requests for songs. Our guests said many great things about them and I would recommend them to anyone who needed DJ services!

This father daughter duo was great. They offer coordination services, I had a coordinator but the service would be great for anyone looking to save some money because weddings are crazy expensive. If you're hesitant because their website isn't super up to date, I was too, but it's fine I promise. :

Fabulous time working with Amanda - start to finish. The prep work was outstanding and then at the event when we started throwing additional song choices at her she adapted so well. She kept the wedding running smoothly and most of all fun and professional. Her expertise before the event was so helpful in song choices!

I was the Day-Of Wedding Coordinator for my best friend's daughter's wedding. This allowed me to work with Amanda and James pre-wedding. They were phenomenal! Their communication throughout the planning for the big day was excellent. They asked the important questions to ensure they were prepared and to ensure the special day was perfect. On the big day, they were professional, engaged with the guests, and made sure the bride and groom's requested songs were played. So, I am definitely a lot late posting this review. But Amanda is the greatest. She went above and beyond on our wedding day. Their price is very affordable as well. 10/10 will recommend to everyone. She is very respectful and completely honors all of your requests. Again, FULLY recommend for all your parties.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Amanda did an amazing job working with us to bring our vision to life! When things drifted from our original plan Amanda and her Dad were quick to pivot without making the hiccup seem noticeable. She played all the songs we wanted and really brought the party alive! My favorite part was how well she worked with my coordinator, videographer and photographers to help with transitions!

She directed us all outside so we could take a big group photo and the catering could flip the space for dancing. Not only was her service great, but she was just an awesome person to work with and she continued to remind us to do why WE wanted on our day, and that she was there to make that happen. Throughout the night she'd come up to check in and see how we were doing and if we needed anything she'd communicate it to others. If I'm ever planning a big event again, she'll be one that I call!

James and Amanda were such incredible DJs. I recently attended a wedding where they were working and they did a fantastic job! They quickly learned the rhythm of the party and played songs that all the generations would love. They played classic oldies, modern dance songs, and even Latino music per the guests requests. They encouraged and followed through with guests song requests. Additionally, the song transitions were great. I highly recommend them for any event!

I would think wedding receptions would be the most difficult to DJ if the attendees are of various ages. Amanda did a great job of providing a variety of music at my son's wedding recently. She was given specifics for the ceremony and couple's dances but given freedom to choose whatever she thought appropriate for the duration of her time. Amanda had fun songs for the children, dance music for those who could or for couples just wanting to be on the floor, 'oldies' and ballroom dance music for the older guests.
