Even the most dedicated, conscious couples run into challenges sometime during the course of their marriage. They're not just simple problems, they can be very straining, causing them to wonder if they will make it. Some couples have problems before they start, and others encounter them after they are married.
I don't know if you feel the same way I do, but to me it's crucial that you and your minister, officiant, have a good fit, a strong sense that you would make a good team. If that's the way you feel as well, then let's read on. To see if we would work well together, I always hold a non-obligatory meeting either in person, over the phone or webcam, whichever is easiest for you.
Often, your renewal of vows is more emotional than your first wedding. You have history, far reaching experiences, you've grown exponentially individually and together, your marriage foundation is far more matured, and here you are, saying "yes" again to the same person. If you are like other couples renewing their vows, you may be choosing a far simpler ceremony than your first big wedding. So many couples say they don't want a big renewal. They want the ceremony for themselves and their children (if they have them).
Rev. Miriam, thirty three years ago, originated the "personalized" wedding ceremony in the Santa Barbara area and has enjoyed its expanding popularity. She is renown for her deeply meaningful and unique ceremonies and best known for her ability to capture who her couples are with amazing accuracy and insight and bring their story and their love to life.
In 1981 I was ordained as a non-denominational minister and have been serving Santa Barbara and the California Central Coast for these thirty-plus years. Preferring to call myself multi-denominational, I welcome all beliefs, all walks of life, and every combination therein. The driving force behind my work is that there is no one else on earth like you, nor any other couple like you. Your individuality, what makes you who you are, your relationship and love with each other, your family and your friends, is the gold that I seek.
