Stuart Event Rentals history is nearly as long as the Bay Area itself! We decided on the having a graduation party at the last minute and it was too late in a busy graduation session to arrange for delivery and setup. We are happy that Stuart has the inventory so we were able to get all our needs in Stuart. The web site is clear and easy to use. On line reservations and checking is convenient. We can even add a few pieces of small items at the check out. The equipment are in good condition. The process is smooth. We will use Staurt rental again.

Customers beware! I had terrible experience with this place. I called few weeks ago and got a quote from Ana for rentals, and made my deposit. I called again today to add few items and found out they are not planning a delivery to my site. It turns out they have a minimum amount that she failed to disclose to me during our call. Had she done that I would have added few other items and met the minimum for the delivery.
Now they are saying they can't even deliver at all and that I would need to go through another company "Uber like" to coordinate pick up and delivery. What adds insult to injury is the lack of professionalism when I spoke to her and Mark. First of, she was rude and cut me off while speaking. Then she would go silent for 1 minute after. And put me on long hold and forwarded me to someone even more incompetent, Mike.
He was condescending and told me he was trying to " help me secure the items for my party" as if it rare commodity. He refused to hear the feedback about my experience and kept repeating himself. There was no acknowledgment of the mistake Ana did what so ever so I requested refunds. He said he won't me charge restocking fees! And his tone was as if he was doing me a favor.
Why would there be restocking fee when nothing was moved out of stock?! Then he offered me to wait a couple of days so I don't regret this and pretty much said to call their competitors and good luck in finding those rates or securing the items. Guess what? The first rental place I called their sales person started off by telling me about their minimum to deliver to my house!
Something Ana failed to do. In the end it all worked out, I got better rates with delivery. I don't foresee Stuart Rentals business lasting if the rest of the staff is like Ana and Mike. No business succeeds when they screw over their customers.

When you are hosting an event, there are numerous things that need to be taken care of. Having one place to get all the stuff that you need is a huge benefit. Stuart Rentals is exactly that. Not only do they have everything, they have several choices for each item. Their staff is particularly helpful in assisting you with information. Great company to work with for our Thanksgiving holiday! We just needed a couple extra tables and some chairs and they made everything very easy and communicated everything so it was seamless. Even gave us a few extra days to return so it was less stressful. Definitely recommend for any rental needs, big or small!

Very disappointed, I needed to rent 2 tables and 18 chairs for this weekend. A simple ask. I was sent the invoice and was told to fill it out. I noticed Leslie didn't add the amount to be paid on the invoice so I emailed back(this was stopping me from completing my order). No response. I called today and they said it was to late now. So now I'm not sure what we will do. Do not recommend.

I'm updating my review to four stars because of the response from the owner on Yelp and because I know the hiring issue is a real problem right now. I still can't give them 5 stars for this most recent experience because of the issue I explained, but I'd probably be less wary of using them for other, perhaps larger, events in the future than I previously expressed now knowing what the source of the problem was and that it's a legitimate and, hopefully, temporary problem that wasn't their fault.

Super easy to order online! The price is absolutely perfect! They have everything here what you need for a great event. Tables, chairs, linens, dishes, wine glasses, serving tray, etc! If you do need a delivery service, you must order in advance. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Definitely using their service again and again.

I have mixed feelings about Stuart Rentals. In the beginning they were very responsive and helpful. Their inventory is conveniently listed online so you can see each product, and there is a good variety to match any event. I found prices a bit more expensive than other companies during my research. Working with Lauren was *initially* easy via email, and I was able to edit the items often (but there were a few times the quote wasn't updated).
Right before my event, she notified me that some linens were unavailable. They hadn't checked until a few days prior and another client never returned the linens I ordered. My decor was planned around these linens. She selected another color which did not match AT ALL, and told me I'd have to drive 1 hour the morning of my event if I wanted to change the color, which I was unable to do. Rentals: They accidentally ordered umbrella linens so all my cocktail tables had a giant hole in the center!
We tried to cover them with bud vases but it was visible :( They also ordered the umbrella canopy and the base. but no pole. so half our patio was unusable due to extreme sun. Both of these mistakes were careless. Setup: She did not clarify that the setup fee only covered the tent, so my husband and elderly father had to carry and open all the tables!
I was so mad. if she had told me, I would have paid the additional setup. During the pickup after my event, they removed the rentals by using a dolly to pull them off our tiled deck- our tiles were broken because they just pulled the rentals down off the ledge instead of lifting them over. Quality: The tables and couches had not been cleaned! There were stains and crumbs on the couches, and water stains on the glass coffee tables.
We spent the morning of my event vacuuming the furniture and spot cleaning. There were ketchup stains on the pillows which was embarrassing. Makes me nervous there is no COVID protocols! Overall if there was better attention to detail, the day-of would have been more smooth. The tent was very well done and we were happy with the tenting team. But it took WEEKS of me chasing Lauren to finally get refunded the items I didn't receive or were incorrect, and I still never saw the updated receipt I requested.
They reimbursed additional $500 for our tiles which is much less than the cost to repair, but I never had time to get a quote. I just had a baby and I've been spending my little free time chasing Lauren. Not happy about that. 3 stars, but added 1 because they reimbursed partially.

Stuart Event Rentals did a great job at helping me with my Grandma's birthday party. She turned 100 so it needed to be a big celebration! I was in constant contact with Keri Doan and she reassured me that all the rental items are properly sanitized when they are returned and are ready for use. Keri also worked with the theme I had for the party and what colors would go best with some of the other decor. Stuart Event Rentals has great quality, price and customer service. I was surprised with the huge warehouse they have with a large variety of everything related to party/event needs. I placed a very small order but was treated equally important as a big client and in a very professional manner. I am in to event planning myself and would surely be working with them in future.

Finding a rental company during COVID-19 for a small backyard wedding that was budget friendly and had a variety and quality rental items was made 100% simple when working with Aaron Feldman at Stuart Event Rentals. Not only was Aaron great at understand what I needed for my event, but he was very positive and only presented me items he knew were in my budget and gave honest suggestions and feedback making sure my event was perfect.
If something came up, I had the trust that I could call Aaron and he'd reassure me that he'd handle the concern immediately. The folks that delivered the rentals (Santiago and his team) were very kind as well! The whole team so such a dream to work with. I 100% recommend!

I want to acknowledge Mark M for his outstanding customer service on a recent event I had in Palo Alto. From the moment I spoke to mark on the phone and in subsequent emails he was nothing less then professional and extremely helpful. He went above and beyond for me and my client and I couldn't recommend him/ Stuart Rentals enough. There are SO many Bay Area rental companies and what make anyone stand apart if the customer service. I will definitely make sure for all my rental needs in the Bay Area I work with Mark!
