From beautiful vintage rooms to crashing waves with warm beautiful sunrises and dolphins in the distance, it was the perfect stay. The bed, the sheets A+. The common area with ice and coffee A+. The staff and most important, Anna A+. Anna knows what exceptional customer service is and man, she can cook a fabulous breakfast with some yummy goodies during the day.
The owners make sure that it is well kept and Anna is doing a great job with it. Can't wait to make more family memories here since this will be my home away from home. Thanks for a beautiful weekend!

We spent 4 nights at Windemere. Each day starts with a great breakfast. The hosts will do anything to cook to your taste. The rooms are nice and well maintained. The best feature is the location. Close enough to a few good restaurants and only 5 miles from fantastic restaurants such as Frigates. The beach is quiet since there are no hotels near. They have a shuttle from MLB airport. Great location to see rocket launches also.

This place is a hidden treasure, a gem hiding away! We stayed for 2 days and between the service, breakfasts, comfort, and location, it was all excellent. All I can say is its all in the details and Windermere By the Sea has it all! We have stayed at many 5 star locations and this place and by far in the top 3! This will be our new home away from home and we can't wait to come back. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who were all so courteous, professional and always available.

This place is so nice and was so perfect for a getaway with my wife that I'm giving them their five stars despite a small mixup that happened during my arrival. I did my booking through Expedia and they advised a 2pm check-in time. We arrived after 7pm to find the building closed with a sign saying check in was 2-6 pm and that late arrivals could find their keys at a specified location.
I looked and didn't find said key, which was not where it should have been. We knew we'd eventually check in. We made the best of the remaining daylight and strolled to the beach. We came back and found the building open and Anna from the staff was in the kitchen. She gave us our keys (which had not been put out due to simple human error) and a warm welcome.
I've been conditioned to hotels with their computerized mechanized ways. This is a place run by people down to the last detail. The Windemere was perfect in room, view, amenities, surroundings, and breakfast. I only wish we could have stayed longer than our one night. My best advice for people not accustomed to B&Bs is to be sure to get there before 6pm.

We arrived at the Windemere Inn for our reserved 3 night prepaid stay during the requested check-in window. The innkeeper, Bonnie, said there was "a mixup" and could not find the room keys for #5, "The Lookout" room, which we had specifically reserved. Bonnie couldn't recall if there were guests in room #5 and so climbed to the third floor to see if anyone was there but couldn't open the door.
We were told to sit by the pool while she tried to sort out the problem. Bonnie contacted a locksmith to open the door to room #5. I used the time by the pool to seek out alternative accommodation options in the area but as it was Spring Break there was quite literally nothing available, and I was anxious that there would be no place for us to stay anywhere in the area.
After nearly an hour of waiting by the pool, Bonnie gave us the keys to room 5 and told us we were all set. We went to room 5 only to be greeted by the occupants of room #5, who must have returned to the room after the locksmith's departure. Bonnie assigned us room #6 for the night, which is a pet-friendly room in one of the adjacent buildings. Room #6 was a definite downgrade from the room we had paid for.
The room was cramped, loud, and bright at night due to the proximity of the backdoor entrance light fixtures. The walls were thin, and we could hear the family next door and their dog and small children. This was interesting because on Expedia.com, the description of the Inn says that no children are allowed under age 18. Maybe the policy has changed, but if so, the change should be updated as this would matter to some potential guests.
We were told to vacate room #6 after breakfast and were assured that room #5 would be ready for us by noon. We moved our belongings into our car during this time. Room #5 was adequate but not quite luxurious. The a/c did not run all night (no thermostat in the room for us to manage) and by morning the room was stuffy. It was also very bright. We tried to block the light coming from a stained glass window with bathrobes ($125 if we wanted to take home!) but this did not work well.
It was difficult to open the door with the keys. It shouldn't be difficult to access one's room in an establishment that bills itself as a "luxury oceanfront bed and breakfast." Breakfasts were not special and a bit on the stingy side. Three slices of undercooked bacon were to be shared between two adults. One slice of French toast came with one sausage patty. Scrambled eggs came with something called a "mashed potato ball, " which was bland and not hot.
Best part about the stay is access to the beach, but one can get access to the beach for a lot less than the rate we paid. It was surprising that the innkeeper did nothing to make up for the inconveniences that we experienced at the beginning of our stay. We are expecting a refund for the difference in price for the less expensive room the first night.
We will be checking our statement to make sure that the refund was indeed submitted correctly. Overpriced. Disorganized. Underwhelming breakfasts. Bring a sleep mask and snacks if you feel like risking it. We've stayed at bed and breakfasts for over 30 years from Maine to California and this was hands down the most disappointing stay we've ever had anywhere.

This is our first visit to the Inn and we absolutely love it. It checked all the boxes. Plus it even allows dogs. The walks on the beach were absolutely enchanting and the occasional launches from Cape Kennedy added to the joy. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and they thought of anything to make your visit better. Smart televisions were available in all the units as was the lovely serviced heated pool.
We met wonderful, interesting people from all over the country. Access to the basically empty beach was less than 100 yards away. Bonnie, the manager, as well as the others servicing the Inn were all terrific. They either brought me my packages or called to let me know it had arrived. Everyone is very helpful, just ask and it happens. Bonnie was extremely helpful with lots of hints where to eat and what to do. We stayed long term and will definitely return. We couldn't have asked for more.

Very overpriced for the experience. It's a beautiful place, breakfast was great, of course the beach was perfect. It's just that I was just a little disappointed- the website boasts a lot of amenities/services that did not align with my experience. Anytime I spoke with the manager I just felt like I was a burden, like I was bothering her.
I wasn't asking for the moon- I just kind of thought questions like where to get good food, or what to do in the area were par for the course in that line of work. There are 70 Airbnb options in the area for at or under the price-point of the room we stayed at. In height sight. Probably should have done that.

Five Stars All Around We rarely write reviews but our second trip to Windemere by the Sea changed that. We stayed a week in late April of '21 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The accommodations are extremely clean and nicely appointed. We were in one of the rooms in "the cottage, " which adjoins a common area with a wet bar, fridge, Keurig, and microwave. Homemade cookies were replenished every day, as was the decanter of brandy.
The rooms in the main part of the Inn are lovely, and the guests can enjoy the comfortable living room, choose a book from the library, or borrow a DVD. The breakfasts were always a gourmet treat and, though we were there for six of them, they each were different and included fresh fruit, yogurt, a breakfast pastry and the breakfast entree--some of which were cooked to order.
The wide beach is less than a hundred yards away, and at this time of year was nearly empty. The Inn provides complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and sand toys. If the beach isn't your thing, then relax on the terrace and enjoy the pool. Our compliments to the innkeeper, Bonnie, who doubles as the chef. Always friendly and welcoming, she strikes the perfect balance between engaging guests and giving them space. (If you go, take advantage of her familiarity with all of the best restaurants in the area!) Kim and the other staff were also friendly and efficient.
Another reviewer commented on the road noise. Yes, the inn is directly on two-lane A1A, but so are most hotels, inns, and, rentals along this strip. Choose a room that faces the ocean and that will help. The Windemere is definitely worth a visit.

My wife and I stayed 6/25/2021 to 6/28/2021 in the Lookout room. The website describes the room perfectly. Bonnie, Kim, and staff are very congenial. Bonnie's breakfast's rivals anyone's hometown favorite Brunch spot. Five Restaurants within a ten-minute drive from Windemere. The beach was pristine.

Beautiful location on the beach and the staff are amazing. Bonnie is the manager and is very friendly and helpful. Kim is one of the housekeepers and does a fantastic job. The breakfast Bonnie cooks is delicious.we stayed in the largest room the "sea breeze" and was very comfortable. very convenient location

The location was great - a stone's throw from the beach (literally). Our room in the cottage was great; roomy, clean, comfortable. You can't ask for much more than that. Bonnie, the innkeeper, was great. She was personable and helpful (made dinner reservations for us). The breakfasts were amazing - all home cooked and delicious. The location to/from restaurants was perfect. Thank you Bonnie - we'll be back.

Overpriced The good reviews were encouraging. The reality was a little different. The main house is pleasant enough, but it's located very close to a busy road and traffic noise is an issue. Rooms are rather unremarkable but check all the necessary boxes. I can't say that I liked the breakfasts very much. Stuffed French toast was a soggy mess.
The innkeeper was helpful but rather dour. There was a fair bit of deferred maintenance. While the photos make it look like it's right on the beach, it's really a block away--not far but not waterfront views. All of this wouldn't have been a concern if the rates were less expensive. But at $250/night expectations should be high. I wouldn't return and I really can't recommend it due to the prices.

What a wonderful location on the Space Coast. Bonnie is an excellent cook and a gracious host. I am glad I chose this venue. The Inn is clean and well maintained. The directions were simple and easy and there is plenty of parking on site. Bonnie's breakfast was outstanding and she and her staff were warm and friendly. I would stay there again without hesitation.

We have been here twice and both times we really enjoyed staying. We were here 4th of July weekend and they had barbeque by the pool. We made friends with some of the other guests and they are now life long friends. We visited again this time to meet up with those same friends to celebrate a birthday. Bonnie gave us champagne for mimosas to help celebrate. The accommodations and food are great and they even have umbrellas and chairs for the beautiful private beach. Two thumbs up!

Absolutely loved it! Will never stay in one of the larger hotels up & down the beach again. Bonnie, the Innkeeper greeted us. We had a quaint room close to the main house. Very comfortable, nice linens. The property was lovely & peaceful. A stones from the ocean, great for strolls. The breakfast buffet was lovely, fresh & delicious. Bonnie was gracious enough to share one of her recipes with me. My only recommendation would be maybe a small refrigerator in double queen room for traveler convenience for cold drinks. Can't wait for our next visit

I like everything about this place. My husband and I had a wonderful weekend there. The place is very clean and nicely decorated with a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious and the location was great with private access to the beach and close to restaurants. The B&B amenities were perfect for a relaxing weekend. But best of all was the service; Bonnie was fantastic and went above a beyond to make sure our stay was perfect.

This B and B is terrific! The Innkeeper, Bonnie was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was great and room was very cute and comfortable. Great recommendation for dinner at Islands Fish Grill, amazing food. Enjoyed the pool and beach, even saw baby sea turtles! Can't wait to come back and stay longer!

This inn is an amazing B & B! The cozy common living room with fireplace and beautiful traditional furniture with cognac awaits your arrival. Each room has a quaint name and beautifully furnished. Rooms facing koi pond or pool or ocean. Exquisite sheets and comfy beds. They say "they try to think of everything you need" and they did! Cotton balls and qtips in the bathroom, crystal ice buckets, coffee, cognac and fresh chocolate chip cookies as well as frig, microwave and frosted beer mugs all available to you.
Nice deck by the ocean. Beautiful pool. AND the breakfast! Pretty dining room with fine linens. The morning we were there offered avocado toast with egg or Italian quiche. Also available pistachio pineapple cake with fresh whip cream, fresh cut fruit and assorted juices. 10 stars!

Let me start by saying that Bonnie, the manager, is delightful and very helpful. Breakfasts are wonderful - I'm lactose intolerant and they customized for me. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. On the downside, the room we were in Forever Spring, is very tiny. Very cozy - would be perfect for a solo traveler! Next time we will opt for a larger room.
The beach is inviting, although the water was a bit rough. Downtown Melbourne is not far - nice to walk around although I would avoid on a Saturday night - parking is a nightmare! All in all - a perfect Bed & Breakfast! We found a really good restaurant, Thai Thai 2z

As we pulled up to this beautiful B&B after a long few days, we were welcomed by the friendly Innkeeper, Bonnie. Our cozy room had a private bath and a little balcony we could see the ocean from. In the morning, we were greeted by Bonnie with fresh coffee and a beautiful breakfast spread of fresh fruit, cereals, pastry and then made to order eggs and grits and maple bacon served beautifully to our table with crystal glasses for our fruit juice and bright yellow roses as center pieces.
The other guests were friendly and we all enjoyed some conversation and a wonderful breakfast. There are no strangers at the Windermere Inn, just friends you haven't met yet. I will definitely return to this enchanting Inn by the Sea.

We always come here for our anniversary. It is absolutely lovely, the room/suites are very roomy and well appointed. The bathrooms are huge with both a raised tub and double shower. The bedroom is twice the size of ours at home, there is a gathering area with cookies and cognac and they also provide a fridge with sodas, water and room for whatever you wish.
The landscaping is beautifully done, with a grand choice of plants and flowers, a koi pond, a gazebo overlooking the ocean and a swimming pool. And lest I forget, the breakfast is luscious, delicious and always unique.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much. This is a beautiful quaint B and B. My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary here. This was our first B and B experience. The rooms are very clean. The service is wonderful. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with treats in our room, lush Comfy robes, and a beautiful beach view. Breakfast was also wonderful. Fruit, yogurts, coffee, juices and a main dish homemade and fresh.
The reason i am not giving this establishment a 5 star review, was based on a very racial comment made by a staff member about Muslims. We are minorities and felt maybe we were not as welcomed based on that comment. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this beautiful place to everyone!

My sister and I spent three wonderful nights at the Windemere. Kim, the assistant innkeeper, was an absolute sweetheart, and could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. (I have an egg allergy so she made sure to offer an alternative breakfast.) Our room was small (but we knew that going in) but the bathroom was huge. And we had a balcony from which we could see the ocean.
There were beach chairs, umbrellas, and thick beach towels to take with you to the private beach. They had everything we needed. The linens in the room were soft and excellent quality with wonderful pillows. It was all so comfortable. And I absolutely fell in love with Sweet Thing, the inn's resident cat. I would highly recommend the Windermere to anyone. I have every intention to return. Thank you again, Kim and Sweet Thing. You made our visit very special!
