I went to this resort as part of one of the music masters events in June 2021. It was amazing! One of the best experiences of my life!

Pros -- Really beautiful venue space with luscious green, sprawling hills in the background, various different buildings that differentiate for guests, a creek, etc. The photo opportunities were amazing, and even when it rained mid-ceremony, the staff were completely on it with umbrellas, towels, and levity. Their sense of calm was able to translate to still having a great reception for the wedding we attended.

The food was also pretty good -- both at cocktail hour (especially the baked brie!) and during the proper sit down meal (the steak was surprisingly flavourful and cooked to medium/medium-rare perfectly). We even had a beautiful next morning of Yoga/stretching on the lawn (before another bout of rain). Cons -- The breakfast and after-party fare was a bit meager/mediocre.

The only other gripe is that the rooms provided tiny quarters and there weren't enough bathrooms to go around, but at least the rooms had individual sinks/mirrors to accommodate. Overall, lovely venue, just some peripheral things that I am nitpicking about.

The best decision we made in the planning process of our wedding was choosing Full Moon Resort. From beginning to end they were helpful, flexible, responsive, and thoughtful. Throughout the lead up, the coordinators for rooms and and event production, Morgan and Tia, were quick to respond and so incredibly helpful. Since we were a postponed wedding from June 2021, in the time between our original signing (March 2020) and our actual wedding (May 2022), some of their policies had changed.

Both of them were so flexible with us in honoring our first agreement. Full Moon had space to accommodate majority of our wedding guests to sleep on site, in a variety of buildings. We spent a great deal of time and energy ensuring guests were in comfortable lodging appropriately priced for them (full moon has a range). This was definitely the height of pressure we felt planning, but made the rest (seating chart etc, ) feel like a breeze. Additionally, it provided a major benefit that made our wedding so incredible for us- everyone was a short walk away from the reception and after party.

On the wedding weekend, the staff was exceptional. Nearly every guest we spoke to had wonderful things to say about the staff going above and beyond. They made sure all the dietary needs of our guests and vendors were met. Our weekend had lots of unpredictable rain (including in the middle of the outdoor ceremony). Full moon shuttled our guests where they needed to be, and moved umbrellas from place to place to make sure guests stayed dry.

Because it's an all inclusive wedding venue, so many things that in other circumstances might have been stressful, were taken off our plates by full moon (ex: moving our cooler and drinks around for day time events, when a guest handed us a gift in the middle of an event, someone always offered to bring it to our room for us, and so much more). Despite the rain, there were so many indoor/outdoor covered spaces for our guests to be, so even those who were very COVID-conscious had options to stay included.

The food was incredible-- both from our perspective and the guest perspective. We saw clean plates at our reception and heard so many good things. The food at related events (breakfast, lunch, bbq dinner) was also equally delicious. Overall, our wedding weekend at full moon was magical from start to finish. You will not be disappointed if you choose Full Moon Resort

We (finally) threw our wedding at Full Moon 2 weekends ago and we would recommend them over and over and over again! From the second we stepped foot on the property to take a tour over 3 years ago until the day we drove off the property after our celebration (they even called to say they found my jacket/wallet and shipped them to NJ for us) everything was like a dream.

We were scheduled to have our wedding on March 28, 2020 and on March 14th we had to make the impossible decision to postpone our big day due to Covid. Full Moon worked us every step of the way through 2 postponements and the craziness that was the pandemic. They made sure we were taken care of and that our guests wanted for nothing. As a bride, I've truly never felt so heard and valued as I did during our wedding weekend. Morgan, Tia, Phoebe, Alexis, Katelyn, and every single other person involved made sure it was the perfect day we waited 3 years for!

Our guests truly couldn't stop raving about the food, the grounds, the hospitality, and the unique vibe only Full Moon can guarantee. The most amazing mix of antique, modern, personal, artsy, and privately perfect. You truly can't go wrong with Full Moon.

We cannot thank Full Moon enough for the amazing wedding weekend we had. Our original wedding date was a week before NY went on full lock down so we had to cancel due to covid. The resort was so flexible and easy to work with to get the wedding rescheduled, not once, but twice. They really worked with us to make sure we had the wedding we had originally planned and everything went beautifully.

It made waiting almost an extra 2 years full worth it. The grounds are breathtaking, especially on days like the foggy winter days we had. Alexis and Morgan were always quick to respond to us and really helped to make the weekend special. If you're hesitating to go for a visit, I highly recommend you do so and see it for yourself. Pictures don't do it justice and it's really worth seeing for yourself.

It's a great blend of rustic cabin getaway and chic mountain resort. We were so happy with how everything went and we can't recommend them more highly for your event. You won't regret it!

December 11, 2021, Courtney & Cory's wedding at Full Moon--SPECTACULAR! From start to finish it was top notch, excellent service, rooms were lovely, venue is breathtaking, FOOD WAS AMAZING! The staff was so accommodating they could not do enough for you. Hope someone else I know has a wedding there.

Very beautiful place. Unfortunately some rooms don't have private bathrooms, 3-6 bedrooms have to share a single bathroom. Which makes it really difficult for everyone to get ready for a wedding.

Attended a wedding here this past weekend and we were VERY impressed. While the inn itself is a bit "lived-in" it still retains a warm and inviting vibe. The newish building on the grounds where the reception took place was modern and terrific.purpose-built for large parties and it was excellent. The food was very good as well. But the stars of the show were the staff.

I was surprised how upbeat, efficient and capable they were. From the folks running the show to the waiters, bartenders, and even the friendly housekeeping staff. Everyone had a great attitude and it showed.

Yesterday I received a response to my previous review from Kelly who is planning her wedding here. She informed me that the bride and groom are strongly instructed to tell all guests to have no direct contact with the Full Moon resort. While I was told that the bride and groom handle the room assignments, I was never told that there should be no direct contact with the resort management.

Here are my final comments on the Full Moon Resort's no-contact policy as pointed out by Kelly: 1. I hope that all wedding couples that book here have wonderfully memorable weddings. I also think their guests should know what to expect. 2. If the policy is so strictly followed, why didn't the Full Moon answering service simply explain it to me the first time I called. Instead, they repeatedly told me that they'd take a message because no one was available. Likewise, whoever reads their emails could've easily sent me a No-Reply email about the no-contact policy. 3. What's the purpose of having such an unwelcoming policy towards paying guests? 4.

Most destination wedding resorts are willingly hospitable because they take pride in the experience they offer and hope it will lead to new future business. 5. Since most wedding guests don't want to bother the bride and groom with accommodation details, this no-contact policy conveniently enables Full Moon to discourage any guest requests or questions. 6.

If I were hosting a destination wedding where guests pay for travel and rooms, I'd want them to be able to contact the resort about their stay. FINALLY, it turns out that the Full Moon Resort doesn't stick to its no-contact-with-guests policy all the time. They certainly had no problem emailing me directly when asking me to pay for the room!

I have attended a music camp here for several years. This is a beautiful resort outside of Big Indian, NY, not too far from Woodstock. Nestled in the Catskills, besides hosting camps it is appropriate for special occasions. There is a hotel onsite, big banquet lodge, additional cottages, pool, walking traiik and creek. It's a beautiful respite from city life.

Very nice. Cabin is stylish and cozy with modern conveniences. There isn't a kitchen, but the Pavilion is a short drive away, and has a microwave, a toaster and a small crockpot. My main concern was heat and shades for privacy, and both were here in abundance. I'd like to return for a longer visit.

We stayed in the Mountain View Cabin 3. The views did not disappoint and are actually better than advertised on the Airbnb listing. The cabin and surrounding grounds were clean. The check in was easy and contactless. We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a little out of the way from most restaurants and activities and the cabin does not have a kitchen. So make sure you keep some gas in your car and don't mind a 30-40 min drive to most things. Overall a really great place.

I came here for a wedding back in late April. Now although we cannot control mother nature, I must say it was freezing. The wedding was scheduled outside via a tent and there was not ONE outdoor heater. I have to give myself a HUGE shout out for grabbing my down coat. The place itself is nice. A lot of movement around the property with going in and out the different venues for cocktail hour and the reception but we all trucked through. Snowboots, gowns and all. The place/bar for the after-party looked a tad bit hillbillyish to me. Rooms/ houses are a little outdated but nonetheless it's your typical cozy upstate cabin.

So I stayed in Morningstar which was fantastic. Good room size, had a desk chair, twin beds, futon couch. So it had air conditioning with mini-split so heating as well. Also a tiny fridge that could chill 2 water bottles. Bathroom had hairdryer, soap bars, shampoo, liquid hand soap. WiFi worked well. No in room safe or cell reception, tv, or phone.

It was quiet and beds were comfortable. There is a significant staircase to go up to cross road to main area, but it was doable. There is also separate parking, so you could drive down hill if you needed. There is no ac in some of the other areas, so a bit hot in July. Gorgeous setting and grounds.

Great food. Great staff. We went for a wedding and stayed two nights in fireside lodge #1 and my mom was in #2. Both rooms were small, but had private bathrooms and worked out great for us since we really didn't spend much time in the room any way. We had several meals at full Moon and they were all really good.

Words cannot describe how wonderful this place is! I just had my wedding here last weekend and in short the staff made it just as memorable as the day itself. LeighAnn is one of the most patient and accommodating person I've ever met! And Michael the owner will work with you to make everything about your day as wonderful as possible. I can't thank this place enough!

Full Moon Resort staff provided a fun-filled magical wedding weekend for my daughter and son-in-laws recent September wedding celebration! A big thank you to wedding planner Leigh Ann who was accommodating and extremely patient and helpful throughout the journey leading up to the big weekend event! Thank you to the entire staff that needs to be acknowledged for the friendly, professional demeanor they displayed all weekend long.

A shout out to Consuela who made sure everything was perfect and always checked in with me throughout the weekend. She was fabulous. The food at Friday night barbecue was delicious and the wedding dinner was fabulous! Guests are still raving that it was the best food that they ever had at a wedding. Sunday brunch and the breakfast and lunches were all very delicious, fresh and unique. Kudos to the chef!

The maintenance staff was extremely helpful hanging lights in the barn and hanging dream catchers from the tree at the entrance to the tent as well as tweaking anything that needed to be tweaked. Thank you to the front desk staff who was very friendly to our guests and to the staff that took care of our rooms. The grounds were beautiful, the flowers in full bloom and the accommodations were perfect for the bohemian, rustic feel of the wedding. I can go in and on with my praises on how wonderful FullMoon is. It was a wonderful weekend that we will never forget.

Went here for my cousins wedding last week. Staff fantastic and the grounds are beautiful. Stayed in the yurt - what an experience! Wifi is very spotty on the property and several areas have shared bathrooms. The wedding and reception was fabulous. Breakfast the next morning was great.

Just attended a weekend wedding here as a guest and had a great time. Spectacular location, delicious food (including vegetarian options), variety of fun indoor and outdoor venues, attentive staff. After reading other posts, I think the key to a good experience is managing guests' expectations from the start: lack of cell phone service, small rooms, shared bathrooms, no A/C, spread-out lodgings all accurate.

But as a package, it worked well for our group, which ranged from families with infants to older folks needing golf-cart transport around the resort. We appreciated the big swimming pool and used a field for games. S'mores by the fire pit, soccer with cousins and aunts and uncles, the lovely ceremony--those are our takeaways!
