I visited the Bridal Shoppe for a trunk show they were hosting, and while I did not end up purchasing with them I had a WONDERFUL experience with Megan, and the owner Pattie was also very kind and reasonable. They both helped answer all of my many questions about the gowns, ordering process etc., and while I ended up going with a gown that I found much closer to where I live, I would recommend The Wedding Shoppe to anyone looking to find a beautiful wedding dress! It is also a BEAUTIFUL shop with a great set up for trying on gowns.

I came from out of town on a weekday to visit the Wedding Shoppe and was impressed by their selection, service and friendliness. I worked with Pattie and she helped me filter down to the dresses which could work/ test the criteria I was looking for. My sister was sitting in her car with her dog and Pattie opened a full-length window so she could see/ be included from the street. (A unique and very thoughtful gesture!) I definitely recommend checking out the Wedding Shoppe if you're keen to check out different styles of dresses and narrow in on what could work for you

Some of the sample dresses are damaged with many rips, veils have snags, and there is an inadequacy in trial sizes. The stylist had no consideration of what veil to put with what dress. They were so horrifically unkept, no one would want to buy them. The bridal consultant was argumentative, defiant and just blatantly rude! My daughter is a textile designer, absolutely stunning and a slim size 6.

This was our second appointment. We have already been to one shop where the consultant knew how to help us and properly visualize sample dresses for the wedding day. Today, we were blown away with the lack of professionalism and presentation skill. None of the dresses were adjustable to show how they would properly fit. The consultant had no idea how to pair the right veil with the right gown for the thousands of dollars they're asking.

The shop felt dirty and tired. My daughter left in tears after feeling completely offended. The consultant immediately was defensive about how the dress should lay when my daughter is a textile designer and stated repeatedly that she understands the structure of fabric. The fact that the bridal consultant actually questioned our designer choices by stating the price of the dress in a tone - as if we couldn't afford it turned me off immediately.

I am wearing Dolce & Gabbana, Louboutin and I am regularly covered in Yurman. To assume a $4000+ gown is above our budget, for me is appalling! I can worry for myself about the cost of a wedding gown for my daughter's special day. I would not ever recommend anyone to step foot into what I saw today. What an absolute mess. I have never been so offended and I cannot, in good faith, recommend this dress shop to anyone. The Wedding Shoppe is in need of a makeover, veil to stiletto!

A neighborhood friend of mine recommended the Wedding Shoppe! I enjoyed my experience there, and felt the staff had my best interest when narrowing down a gown. My dress took about 8 months to come in, and I had 3 alteration appointments. If you buy your dress there, they have a seamstress who is assigned to you by the designer. It gave me comfort knowing my dress was being altered by someone who had worked with other Monique Lhuillier dresses.

My dress consultant was Donna, and my seamstress was Zeeba-- they were friendly, helpful, and made me feel like a real-life princess on my wedding day! (Photo: Andrea Krout Photography)

Patti is great! I got my maid of honor dress as well as jewelry and could not be happier with the options and the service! Will definitely be going back for my next formal event or wedding!

I went here for my wedding dress not thinking I was going to find anything because I was having terrible luck and I ended up finding my perfect dream dress right away! The dresses are absolutely beautiful and so different than all the traditional dresses you see. It was such a great experience and Andee was amazing with her help and suggestions. I'm so glad I decided to come here!

After going to several bridal salons, The Wedding Shoppe was the most enjoyable experience I had. Patricia was awesome to work with and extremely personable/friendly, NEVER pushy or pressured me. She made me feel very comfortable and I trusted her expertise. Patricia gave me her undivided attention throughout the whole appt and really understood what I was going for and budget.

She was more than understanding and accommodating when I wanted to make a 2nd appt to bring back family and show them a stunning dress that I loved in there. The salon was adorable and it was in a lovely upscale shopping center. I highly recommend this bridal salon and ask for Patricia, she's terrific!

I had an incredibly bad experience here--I couldn't believe how unprofessional and downright mean the saleswomen were. Within minutes of walking in, my sister overheard one of the saleswomen making a very snobby and unkind comment about how I was dressed (wearing a very nice blouse and jeans--I guess I was expected to show up in a formal gown?) Unforgivably, they treated my mother with incredible disrespect.

They acted like she was some kind of peasant, making endless comments about how pricey THESE dresses are, so maybe we should look at this rack instead? We had an appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses, and while we were perusing someone actually went up to my mother and asked, "Are you shopping, or just dreaming?" What a miserable person. You really would have thought we were on the set of Pretty Woman, not an upscale bridal shop.

Just shameful. I never got the chance to give them a budget, but they immediately assumed we were shopping out of our league. I had been to the store before, I knew very well what to expect. Save yourself a miserable time and skip this shop. My mom and sister drove in from out of state to get some wedding planning done, they ruined what was supposed to be a nice day and made us all feel humiliated and judged. Note: I confronted our sales associate and another employee before we left about her awful treatment of my mother and their repeated insults. Nothing was done, no apology was offered. This wasn't one bad egg having a bad day, this is the accepted culture of that shop. Stay far away.

My appointment with Donna was fantastic. I have had many bridal appointments and she made my experience wonderful. She was cognizant of my budget, which I REALLY appreciated! Most salons will show you dresses up to 1k above your budget and she was so great about not going over. She also wasn't pushy like some other consultants i have had at other places.

After visiting several bridal shops in New York and the Philadelphia area, the Wedding Shoppe was hands down the best. The lines of dresses they carry are stunning and offer great variety depending on your wedding venue, time of year, etc. They also carry bridesmaids and MOB dresses which is helpful. But just as important as the gowns, the staff is so lovely and knowledgeable - it can be really stressful finding the right dress, and the salespeople did a fantastic job of pulling different options that complimented my body type without ever pressuring me into a sale or the wrong choice. I can't recommend them enough!

I don't understand all of the negative reviews, but I had a great experience! I went to 3 bridal shops before I came to the Wedding Shoppe and this was definitely one of the better ones. It's beautiful inside and my consultant Andee was very helpful. I told her exactly what I wanted and she helped me find my perfect dress, both style- and budget-wise.

I think I tried on 4 dresses and the last one was THE dress. My mom and my sister couldn't stop gazing and I didn't want to take it off! Andee was fantastic and really made the experience personalized. I recommend any bride in the Main Line area to check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

This review is about bridesmaid dresses only. I made an appointment to shop with one of my bridesmaids. During the appointment confirmation I was asked what my wedding date was. After driving to Wayne several weeks later for the appointment, when we arrived, the consultant looked at us in shock saying "oh we won't be able to get anything in by November unless you rush it." Don't you think you should have advised me of that when I made the appointment and told you my wedding date?

To be fair, the dresses were lovely - but wish I'd known I couldn't order any before I made the trip. She also immediately seemed more interested in knowing if I wanted to buy a wedding dress than in helping my bridesmaid. It was completely DIY - we browsed dresses, put them in a fitting room, tied sashes, and did the entire appointment ourselves with the occasional "still doing okay here?" What?

Why did I even need an appointment if you are basically just letting me browse on my own? We went to David's Bridal later in the day, of all places, and were given a far better customer service experience than we had at this place.

The Wedding Shoppe was the 4th bridal salon I went to. I honestly already had a dress that I was about to buy at another store, but I figured I would go to anyway. Tracy was my consultant and she was AMAZING! She clearly knew what she was doing! She pulled a few dresses that I NEVER would have looked at. She pulled this one for me and made me try it on.she knew just what would look good for my body type.

The dress was BREATH TAKING! It blew all the other dresses out of the water, even the one I was originally going to purchase! If it wasn't for Tracy's expertise, I never would have found the one! Highly recommend as these ladies are EXPERTS

I was GREATLY disappointed in The Wedding Shoppe. Not only was the staff not friendly, the selection was incredibly small and over-priced. My consultant was stand-offish and it made me feel like she had better things to do. This was my very first time trying on dresses and I had anything but a positive experience. Additionally, it wasn't just me who felt this way; the soon -to-be bride in the room next to mine had a similar experience and we bonded over how horrible the service was.

I recommend The Wedding Shoppe to all brides looking for their perfect dress! I didn't end up getting my dress here, but I cannot express how incredibly helpful Donna was. She was informative, patient, kind, funny, and understanding throughout the entire process. She knows brides and truly wants them to be happy - I can't imagine going through the process without her, even though I didn't get my dress at The Wedding Shoppe. All brides deserve a consultant like Donna.

Went to the Wedding Shoppe, a few weeks ago. It was my first time dress shopping, and you know how they say that first impressions mean everything?! This boutique is beautiful and sweet, and has the nicest and most welcoming people who work there. I worked with Marie and she was just fantastic. I cannot sing her enough praises! With four daughters and 30+ years of experience, she knows a thing or two about dress shopping!

She listened to what I had in mind, and found really beautiful and unique couture dresses for me. I felt like a model and so Hollywood glam the entire time! The space allows for privacy and has a beautiful selection. Each piece is selected by the owner and you can tell that nearly every dress has its own story (which, as a bride, is important to me.) For example, one of the most beautiful dresses I tried on was from a small town in Italy, where two sisters create each design with the utmost detail, and they don't sell their pieces in the US, so Patty has to go and bring them to her boutique for us brides to try!

Love it. The veil selection is lovely and it was such a joy, trying on different styles. Marie was sweet, honest and didn't try to pressure me to make any big decisions on the spot. The last thing you want is to go somewhere and feel that way! I highly recommend this as a place for brides to check out when dress shopping. I now live in Florida and the trip here was totally worthwhile.

Great selection and excellent customer service. I worked with Traci in December of 2016 who was responsive to what I was looking for and also picked out some dresses I wouldn't have necessarily picked out on my own. I went back multiple times to try on a particular dress I liked, but ended up not purchasing. I never felt pressured to buy. It was clear they wanted me to really love my wedding dress. I was very happy with the customer service I received I and would recommend driving outside of center city Philadelphia to take a look at their selection.

My experience at The Wedding Shoppe left a bad taste in my mouth. I went there specifically to look at Judd Waddell dresses, and I'm pretty sure I said this on the phone when I made my appointment. When I told my consultant I was interested in that designer, she gave me a somewhat blank look and said they didn't carry his dresses. Later on in the appointment, I found one on the sale rack.

My guess is that they recently stopped carrying them, but hadn't updated their website. If that was the case, an explanation from the consultant would have been nice! I was looking at dresses on the lower end of what the shop carries, and I was very limited in my options. At one point I asked if there was anything else I could try on, and the consultant just said no.

This may have been true, but she definitely could have said it in a nicer way. I tried on one dress that was discounted due to a trunk show, and I felt like the consultant became pretty pushy. She started telling me that I might miss out on the dress if I didn't buy it that week. Again, maybe factually true but not said in a particularly kind or helpful way.

I came to The Wedding Shoppe after going to 5 different bridal salons in Philadelphia and along the mainline. My initial reason for booking an appointment here was because I have been gawking over Inbal Dror wedding dresses months before I got engaged and found out that The Wedding Shoppe carries her gowns. Let's be honest, those dresses cost an arm and a leg, but I knew I would not be able to find 'the one' without trying on an Inbal Dror and getting it out of my system. Donna was my consultant for the appointment and she made me feel like an absolute princess.

After talking with me about some different styles similar to Inbal Dror we started trying them on and I fell in love with pretty much every single one she chose for me. Long story short, by the time we got to the section of Dror gowns I was in heaven and low and behold I ended up buying the exact dress I tried on. Donna was so patient and let me try the dress on 3 times and I went over my appointment by almost 2 hours.

I am so happy I chose my dress from The Wedding Shoppe and have had several fittings leading up to my wedding in May. Ziba has been my seamstress and has been making the alterations exactly (if not better) than how we discuss during our appointments. Donna has been a part of each fitting as well, making sure everything is perfect for me. When comparing my experience to other bridal salons, The Wedding Shoppe blows them all out of the water.

I never felt rushed along or forced into a decision or felt like I was holding anyone up, which is probably the worst way to shop for a wedding dress as a bride-to-be. I have 2 more fittings before my wedding and I'm going to have to think of excuses to come back here again in the future!

Small selection (of all very similar dresses) and very pushy. Tried to convince me to buy a dress even though I couldn't even try it on- they didn't have one dress that was bigger than a size 10. Most places carry at least a few 12 or 14's. They pressured me a lot and rushed me- definitely not the experience you want when trying on wedding dresses.

On another occasion, I wanted to look at the bridesmaid dress swatches (not even try them on) with my maid of honor while she was in town, but they wouldn't let us because I didn't have an appointment, yet the place was completely empty. They missed out on a lot of money. Their loss!

Pretty bad experience all around. When I called to make my appointment, the woman who answered asked what designers I was interested in. I told her Jenny Packham and Monique Lhuillier. She said they were totally different price points and very rudely said Monique is really expensive. I said I know, I've tried her stuff on and I'm comfortable spending that.

She wouldn't let it go and kept saying how those dresses can be 15k. Mind you there are also a bunch under 8k but she didn't mention this. I thought it was really rude but made the appointment anyway and came in. The woman who helped me was nice and did offer some nice accessorizing ideas. But when it came time to go, she started pressuring me a ton.

I was ready to potentially make a decision but she was like a used cars salesman telling me that my dress might be cancelled and that they wouldn't have it. I told her there was one more dress I wanted to try before making such a huge decision and they didn't have it. She offered to order it in for me - for 200$! I'm living in NYC and even the top line bridal shops are 50-60$ to order as many dresses as you want from the same designer. Wedding Shoppe wanted 200$ per dress. I ended up going to Saks and buying the Monique which they ordered in the color I wanted to try on for 60$.

What a cute little boutique! My fellow bridesmaids and I traveled from five states to try and find our dresses. Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful. Our salesperson wasn't clear about which dresses were available in the color that was chosen. We didn't get enough help during our appointment and then had to rush as our hour and half was almost up.

It was very upsetting for our bride that the salesperson didn't seem to take us seriously. We totally would have bought our dresses here-they were within budget and super cute. Oh, well.

Had a great experience here. Although the dress was more than what I was willing to spend I decided to splurge because of their easy attitudes. I was late and was not yelled at, and they did not rush me. I went on a week night and spent hours here. I was so impressed that I also used them for bridesmaids. When my dress came in the zipper was broke, but the tailor fixed it for me. Dress was beautiful for the wedding!

I had a wonderful experience with The Wedding Shoppe while searching for bridesmaids dresses for my wedding. I was looking for a designer that could provide a similar color, fabric, and style while providing options for a wide variety of body shapes. The consultant at The Wedding Shoppe was able to help us find dresses for all my bridesmaids that complimented each girl while still looking cohesive and beautiful! All of the dresses were high quality and tasteful. We had a private room which made it even easier! Great experience and I would definitely recommend this shop to others!

I had a wonderful experience finding my bridesmaids dresses at the Wedding Shoppe! My morning had started out with an experience at the complete opposite of the spectrum, and the Wedding Shoppe was a breath of fresh air. Lindsay assisted me and helped me to find the designer, styles, and color I was specifically looking for. They had a great selection of styles and designers to choose from!

Ultimately I ended up selecting 5 different styles by Alfred Sung in one color for my girls to choose from. They all had their alterations done at the shop and they all looked SO lovely on the day of the wedding. Also, really appreciated the variety of price points they had. My girls dresses were all under $200 and were made of beautiful fabric with great construction and details. Thank you Lindsay and the Wedding Shoppe!

The Wedding Shoppe was my first wedding dress shopping stop. I was happy to have my mother and future mother-in-law in town. From the very beginning, we did not feel like the experience was very special. We were put in a terrible spot to try on dresses, as everyone had to walk through my appt to get to other parts of the store. My associate seemed rushed and didn't take very good care of the dresses, stepping all over them.

We weren't allowed to take pictures and were snapped at when my mother brought her coffee in. We saw another group take plenty of pictures and bring in a huge coffee to enjoy. As I was looking at dresses, another associate kept stepping in front of me as though I was unimportant. My advice: Skip The Wedding Shoppe and go to Elizabeth Johns in Ardmore. They know how to treat a client.

I bought a VERY expensive wedding dress here. I loved everything about it. However when it arrived 6 months later, it was huge. The on-site seamstress had to take an inch off each side. After 4 rounds of alterations, the dress still did not fit right and we were out of time. The result was a nice dress that was crumpled in the bust and wrinkled across the hips.

The fabric puffed at the stomach and made me look pregnant. I am a size 4 and I was wearing SPANX underneath! All my pictures of my husband and I standing at the alter look terrible. You would think that with the amount of money I spent and the expertise the store claims to have, I would have been satisfied with the result. Sadly, I was not.

I bought my Carolina Herrera wedding gown here at a sample sale for a fraction of its original price. Marie was a great salesperson, and did not try to cajole me into buying the dress (I hate the whole Kleinfeld's pushy thing) or into trying on dresses I could not afford. Also, they were happy to let me come back after I bought the dress just so I could try it on for my mom. Overall, it has been a very pleasant experience so far!

I didn't end up doing a whole bridal appointment with them since I found the sample first, but they carry tons of lovely brands (Monique Lhuillier, Jenny Packham, etc.). Most were probably out of my budget, so unless you have a budget over $3k I would strongly recommend asking when the next sale is. I plan to head back for my first fitting in a couple weeks, and can't wait to see my dress again!
