Anchor Dance Studio

My husband and I started taking dancing lessons here over four years ago. I imagined we'd go once a week and, hopefully, eventually learn to dance! But we enjoyed ourselves so much that we began going two or three times a week, taking a variety of classes and attending the socials. Not only are we learning to dance, being at Anchor Dance Studio is always a fun and relaxing time.

The teachers are excellent, and there is a friendly, warm, and fun vibe from the students and everyone who works there. So if you want to dance, take a break from life, have fun or make friends, I highly recommend you give Anchor a try.

Anchor Dance studio was a great experience. My fiance and I wanted to do a special choreographed dance at our wedding however we had no dancing experience. But that was fine with Anchor. They taught us 3 different types of dance styles in 4 1/2 months and we had a great time doing it. The dance teachers are top notch and would definitely recommend it for any level of dance.

I have been taking dance lessons at Anchor Dance Studio for 13 years. It is a great place to learn social dancing and competition dancing if you want to learn more technique. You can learn all types of ballroom, latin, and country line dancing at Anchor. The instructors are all awesome! Anchor is like a second home to me and I feel like the teachers and other students are like family. It is a fun studio with great social parties. I've been dancing for years, but recently moved to NJ from out of state and was looking for a fun place to dance, and I found it! That first night I walked in everyone from the instructors to the other students were so friendly. I'm a Latin dancer but I thought it might be kinda fun to venture into the ballroom arena, so I signed up for just a few lessons and now I'm hooked.

My instructor is an incredibly talented dancer, but a superb instructor as well; very patient and truly encouraging. I truly enjoy the group classes as well and find that they compliment the private lessons I'm taking. In just a few weeks I already feel right at home!

I have attended Anchor Dance Studio for nearly 2 years now, and have had an incredible experience. As a beginner Latin and Ballroom dancer, I was very nervous about attending their classes without a dance partner, but that quickly changed. I signed up for Anchor Dance Studio with the intent of only going for a few weeks. But Diana & the rest of the instructors are so fun and friendly that I found myself wanting to come back all the time. It's been a few months now and I plan to continue for many more. I'm constantly meeting such incredible people and learning so many new styles of ballroom dance.

Diana and all the instructors are wonderful, the social parties are a lot of fun and lessons are given in a beautiful space. My fiance and I have been preparing for our first dance for our wedding over the last few weeks at Anchor Dance Studio. Our experience from start to finish has been great! We started with a fun preview from the owner, which showed us that Anchor was the place where we should learn our dance. Our assigned instructor, Hugo, then choreographed our dance and trained us in private lessons. Hugo is a very patient and fun teacher, who enabled us to make a creative performance for our wedding dance.

We looked forward every week to having a great time learning with Hugo. I would absolutely recommend Anchor Dance Studio to those who want to learn for their wedding dance, or who are simply looking for a new hobby. My fiance and I will definitely return to Anchor for the group lessons as something new and exciting to do! PS. The studio is like dancing at home. There is comfortable furniture and the candles and fragrances make the place smell fabulous. GO TO ANCHOR!

Diana and her team at Anchor Dance Studio are always warm and welcoming. They even make a beginner such as myself feel like a dance professional. Group classes are always a blast, and everyone immediately becomes like a second family. Each type of dance is uniquely challenging, yet fun and exciting to learn. My husband and I went to Anchor Dance Studio a few months before our wedding to learn our first dance and Anchor Dance Studio was amazing. Diana and Hugo were so awesome and helpful in teaching us not just our first dance but other dances so we didn't look ridiculous dancing at our wedding. Advanced students are always offering helpful advice and tips in a way so that you aren't embarrassed being a beginner. We had so much fun learning how to dance that we now are regular students at Anchor Dance Studio. We look forward to our private and group lessons and always have moves to show off at special occasions.
