Chris began his career in the rental business in 1978 while attending Indiana University. He purchased Southside Rental in 1988 and founded Perfect Parties Tents & Events in 1992. He is a 25 year veteran of the wedding and special events industry and has provided consultation and design work for many of Bloomington's most beautiful venue sites. In 1993, He assumed leadership of the Bloomington Bridal Show and has mentored the event from 20 vendors to over 70 of the area's finest wedding and event professionals.

May be exposed to the general range of weather experienced in the area. Normal hours of employment are 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m., however, after hours, evening hours and Sundays are occasionally required during seasonal peaks. Stooping, crouching, bending, lifting, lowering, reaching, twisting, pulling, pushing, carting and carrying are intermittent tasks that routinely occur. Will assist in loading and unloading trucks with care, work with crew leader and dispatcher/delivery coordinator to deliver equipment.

In addition to well maintained event equipment, we offer value added services, such as a computer aided design for your event with all items true to scale so that spacing for tables, chairs, dance floors and other needs are perfect so there is no "day of" problems to deal with.

Absolutely horrible experience. Ordered 25 chairs and was told we wouldn't need a reservation. We just needed to come in on the day and pick them up. Confirmed that three times over the phone and on the day of pickup, they had zero of the chairs we ordered. I was told to leave after arguing with them about not having our order and finally left with very cheap round back chairs.
Staff was absolutely horrible and very unprofessional. I had to ask for a staff member from the time I walked in because no one was around. Never use this place if you don't absolutely have to.

I would not recommend this business to anyone. I called three times leading up to my event to ask questions and confirm that they would have 25 white padded chairs available for pickup the day before my wedding. I asked to make a reservation and they said I didn't need one- since it was such a small order it would be guaranteed to be there. When we arrived to pick up chairs there were no white padded chairs available and the staff was very unprofessional.
The only chairs available were flimsy plastic chairs that we had to take because we had no other options at that point. Very unhappy with our experience. This created a huge amount of stress the weekend of our wedding- ESPECIALLY when I called ahead multiple times to avoid this very problem.

It's hard to say if I would recommend Perfect Parties to anyone. All of their rentals were wonderful and in good shape and every time I needed to switch something about our order they made it happen. However sometimes in communication I felt like a burden to them. Additionally on the day of their delivery AND pickup they were over an hour past the time they said they would be arriving.
This was a huge inconvenience for us. We were also missing 45 water goblets but they were able to deliver them the next morning. There was room for improvement in their service is all I'm saying but I was pleased with their items.

Let me start by saying that even though Perfect Parties looks pretty unassuming, it houses the best staff in Bloomington! Michelle was so kind and always allowed me take as much time as I needed to decide on what type and how many linens to order, she patiently answered every question I emailed about costs, reassured me constantly, and when there was a slight hiccup in ordering the linens- she immediately fixed it by working with another supplier in Indianapolis to get table drapes that were even better than the ones I originally ordered (at no additional cost to me). CR. is very responsive and helpful over the phone, I was amazed by how much time he spent explaining the ins and outs of the event rental event when I called near closing time.
I had really high expectations for my rental company, and I am happy to report that Perfect Parties was a big part of the reason why our wedding reception went off without a hitch!

Just wanted to say that Michele and Scott have MAGICAL talents with organizing our chair rental, setting up, moving and resetting up all of those chairs! They were so professional, dedicated and hard working, including their your exceptional staff, we are very impressed! Also, the quality of their product was excellent.

Over the course of the 30 years I have been working with Perfect Parties, we have developed a strong relationship. I use them for all of my rental needs and I have never been disappointed. They really do a great job, and when there is ever a mix up, they take care of it quickly and graciously. I highly recommend their services.
