Diane's Formal Affair

I was lied to when I called to schedule an appointment and gave them my price range. I was told there was over 100 dresses in my price range. I got there. I was not offered one single dress in my range. The consultant put a dress on me that was beautiful was DOUBLE my price. Then when I asked if I can look at other sizes since the ones in my size didn't work out and could just order my size she said no.

When I would ask a question she would say I don't know. When I tried to look at the sales rack she insisted there would be nothing for me. My friend found 3 dresses that I absolutely loved off the sales rack. Do not spend your money here! There are so many bridal shoppes that won't lie and will be completely transparent.

After all I have been through, my body has taken a beating. From being born with half a heart to surviving being in an F3 tornado. I have problems finding clothes that fit right. Even though I did not purchase anything, the young sales lady worked with to try to find a formal pants suit after the one I bought online was detained and was not going to make it on time. She was so compassionate, attentive, and friendly. I thank GOD she was there. Encountering someone like that being in pain and rushed somehow made my situation not bad.

I had a wonderful experience this past Saturday. They not only had the dress I was looking for but they offered a wonderful price for the dress. My consultant Terrah was absolutely amazing. She knew exactly what veil to go with my dress and she even pulled other dresses that I almost bought. She listened to what I was looking for and she made everything possible. We had a fabulous time. I would recommend Diane's Formal Affair in Jasper. AL to anyone looking for a great dress with a great deal. They all are amazing in the store.

On my original visit for my wedding dress I had a great experience, however the dress i fell in love with was out of my budget because i was paying for the dress my self. So i settled but within an hour of leaving my dad offered the difference so i could get my dream dress. They have no return policy but since i had not taken the dress out of store and had contacted them so quickly they made an exception which i am super thankful for.

When i went in less than a month later with my 6 bridesmaids that all purchased their dresses there i tried mine on again as i and the lady helping me told me i had gained to much weight it didn't fit, another girl came and zipped it right up. All the bridesmaids dresses that were measured for came back entirely to big and had to have some serious alterations which made them even more money!

On my wedding day my dress basically collapsed right after i put it on and my chest area was bulging out. I called them and was told that there is nothing they will do as i had already left the store with the dress and there is no telling what i had done to it. They told me maybe i was zipped up wrong? She also said didn't we already make an exception for you which is out of our policy. basically she blamed me for everything and only offered to have the seamstress look at it at my cost!

They offered me nothing for ruining my day and gave me sass on the phone as well. I paid over 2000 for the dress and even had to buy their garment bag my girls paid over 300 a piece when all said and done and they were rude to me. I have always bought pageant and prom dresses there as well but i will never be back! Also on the original day i was told i could only have two guest with me which broke my heart cause i wanted my dad there. Meanwhile, a bride in the next room had so many that there wasn't enough seating. I'm beyond upset with this.

Although Diane's did not have many dresses in color and price I can afford, I had a good experience with trying on a few formals. Tara is very welcoming and professional. She was patient with me as I was not sure what I wanted. I appreciate people treating me with respect. Thank you.

I had a good shopping experience at Diane's. You have lots of privacy and they have quite a few plus size options. Everyone raved about my dress at the wedding. My only complaints would be that the wrong length veil was ordered. I did not discover this until it was put on my head on wedding day. I wanted a mid length veil and got a long one that I stepped on at least once. Additionally, regarding alterations - do not bother to get a bustle made unless you can get them to make a video with your phone demonstrating how to bustle it.

When I went to my last fitting, I was unable to bring anyone with me, as all my loved ones live out of state. I asked for them to make a video with my phone, but this was not granted and I was just shown how to do it. Needless to say, I wasn't in a position to teach lessons on bustling on wedding day and three people tried to figure it out, without success.

So I dragged my train through all kinds of dirt, grass, cobblestones, etc. Thank heavens it hadn't rained. This was very disappointing as the bustle was very pretty and paying for the alterations to have it bustled was a complete waste of money.

Great place with a ton of options. I actually got my prom dress from here back in 2011-2012? I ended up picking a more subdued solid black tea length dress (wallflower to the end) and it didn't take them more than a day or two to have it fitted to my size and it fit perfectly. They also sold the contrasting white sash thing I ended up wearing with it.

Overall I loved the dress and didn't even bother to replace it the next year. Although, I suppose that is bad for business? My point is that it didn't fall apart on me and I liked it enough that I didn't hate it the next year. I still have it actually lol.

My Daughter chose her wedding dress here The service was great. Miss Vickie has such a great sense of style. She helped lead us toward what looked great on my daughter. Then after choosing the dress, they took pictures, toasted us, and just really captured the moment for us. Wonderful place and very good prices.

Diane's had been recommended to me by several people who bought their dresses there. I made an appointment to find my perfect dress. We arrived and the appointment was going okay until Vickie told me my budget was "an issue" and kept putting me in dresses that were way over budget. My mom went to the sale rack and picked several dresses for me to try on and Vickie discredited those dresses and put them back on the sale rack without offering to let me try them on. Just not a good experience. I left discouraged.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful experience! The ladies at Diane's are a pleasure and joy to work with. Vickie was amazingly helpful in finding my wedding gown. I loved wearing it all day! I went to a couple of other stores to find my dress before coming to Diane's but they just weren't as great to work with, and didn't have as good a selection. Diane's in Jasper is the place to go! : Thank you, ladies, for all of your help!
