Absolutely the BEST in the area. We love details and a geode cake can go easily wrong with the wrong person. Tinkers is to our knowledge the only place to take on cakes of this level with confidence, and we did very extensive research on who we wanted. We were even able to match paint swatches to have custom coloring on the entire cake, not to mention being able to customize flavors from a phenomenal selection. Tinkers is very willing to work with your vision going above and beyond as well as being considerate about your price point.

To us they were the best priced for the level cake we wanted. We were THRILLED to see the outcome of our wedding cake! We custom designed it to display our love for nature, our native heritage, and capturing the flow of water inspired by my passed mother's favorite hymn: It Is Well With My Soul.

Tinker's Cake Shop made our wedding cake, and it was perfect. We met with Cameron to do our tasting and legitimately struggled to narrow it down from all of the delicious flavor options. The flavors we chose were fantastic and the cake looked beautiful as well. Cameron delivered on time, and styled the flowers from the florist on the cake while he was there. Tinker's is a great place to order from for many reasons, but his pricing includes delivery, a cake stand, and a fresh top tier layer for your 1-year wedding anniversary! We couldn't be happier with our decision to have Tinker's do our wedding cake!

We got the bourbon flavor and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! They did an excellent job executing the minimal icing look for the cake and could not have been more professional

Amazing, if you had a word to describe Tinker's, I'd use that one word. Had a 3 tier cake for our wedding, delicious cake, professional communication, and prompt delivery. Can't really ask for more!

Cameron was wonderful to work with and all four flavors of our cake tasted amazing! He was gracious with us when we needed to reschedule due to COVID and patient with my changing ideas for the design of the cake. Cameron was also able to accomodate our family's allergies to ensure everyone would be able to enjoy the cake. He did a great job! Highly recommend!

My daughter had a small cake at the top of a cupcake tower for her wedding. It was beautiful! Everyone was so complimentary of the cupcakes! Many stated best they ever tasted! Thank you Tinkers!

I used to think most wedding cakes tasted the same, until we went to our wedding cake tasting at Tinker's. Every flavor was absolutely delicious and it made for a very tough decision! Cameron was a pleasure to work with since we first contacted him about our wedding, and he even accommodated us once we had to move our venue from Lexington to Cincinnati.

Our guests have all raved about how delicious our cake was, and even asked if there were any leftovers to take home. I am so happy we had Tinker's do our wedding cake and can't thank Cameron enough!

We absolutely loved working with Cameron from the very beginning! A true master of his craft, he made our concrete style wedding cake with touches of gold all over look stunning! The to-go tasting samples were very nice as well, you can try out all the flavors in the comfort of your own home or choose your flavor at a park or wherever you'd like. We chose the lemon creamcheese and all of our guests were quite impressed with it; several told us that even though they aren't typically fans of lemon, they really enjoyed this flavor. They did an unbelievably good job. The cake looked great, tasted even better. The company was very helpful with design input. Delivery was done on time without issue. And this was all done last minute and they were able to accommodate us and do a fantastic job. We got a vanilla and lemon cake. Both were great!

Best cake shop in the universe in my opinion! Lucky for us it's right here in our home town :) We have ordered cakes for several occassions over the last few years. The designs are truly remarkable (timeless /creative) and they taste so good that I sometimes get sudden cravings out of the blue and try to make up occassions with my wife for needing a cake. As if that's not enough, everyone who we deal with in the shop has been top notch (very friendly and courteous)!

Tinker's Cake Shop always delivers with beautiful and tasty cakes! As a wedding venue, we taste a lot of cake and Tinker's is one of our absolute favorites. You don't ever have to worry about the cake being late or falling apart. I would give Tinker's more than 5-stars if I could!

Tinker's designed and made our wedding cake for our wedding day this past December 30, 2017 and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with Cameron and Tinker's Cake Shop. Our cake was flawless! We received so many compliments about the design and don't even get me started on the flavor of cake and the buttercream frosting! It was absolutely delicious and our guests raved about the flavors.

We selected dark chocolate champagne, vanilla bean, red velvet, lemon with cream cheese, and strawberries and cream! YUM! Cameron was consistently professional and very thorough/timely with all of his communication. Our tasting was enjoyable and when we sent him a picture of the type of design we wanted, he completely blew our expectations out of the water.

The cake was delivered with plenty of time to spare on our wedding day and the fresh flowers and cake topper that were left to go on the cake were placed perfectly. In addition to a perfect wedding cake, Cameron also made 4 additional gluten-free cupcakes to meet the dietary needs of two our guests. He was so gracious about doing this and both guests raved about the fact that they were actually able to have delicious wedding cake with everyone else! Tinker's is a wonderful cake shop! I can't wait to get our one-year anniversary cake this year!

We absolutely LOVED our cake! It was by far the best-looking, best-tasting, best value wedding cake around. Cameron was wonderful to work with. He was efficient and friendly. We enjoyed doing a free tasting at the shop and talking design ideas with him. He matched our vision perfectly and had the tools to do some really neat stuff, like metallic gold food paint.

Our cake looked like it came straight out of a fairy tale! He delivered our cake to the venue worked with our florist to arrange fresh flowers on it at no additional charge. Our guests raved about all 4 of our wedding cake flavors! It was also a great deal--we got a discount for having a family member that had used Tinker's, and a second discount for paying our full balance upfront.

One thing that makes Tinker's especially awesome is that we didn't have to save the top tier of our wedding cake. Instead, Cameron is going to make the top tier of our cake fresh for us on our one year anniversary! Tinker's is the way to go for wedding cakes in KY, hands down.

I saw TINKER'S CAKE SHOP on an episode of CAKE WARS lastnight, one of my favorite shows. Being a small town girl from Kentucky I have made quite a few Wedding Cakes, Birthday Cakes and Baby shower Cakes for a couple of years now for family and friends, so I do understand all the hard work that goes into them. I remember feeling so proud watching Cameron and his wife for not only the thought process in how they designed their Dr. Seuss Character on the show, but also their skill set in the time frame that they had to finish their Cake in. I thought your huge HORTON with The CAT in the HAT on top really stold the show. I am proud of TINKER 'S CAKE SHOP! You represented Kentucky Proudly!

Cameron was impressive from the bridal show to the tasting to the final product. The cake was delivered on time and Cameron even went out of his way to assist when a table was not ready for the cake upon its arrival. We ordered enough cake for double the amount of people attending and less than ten servings of the cake were left at the end of the night it was so delicious! The cake was delicious, moist, & gorgeous. Cameron is the consummate professional. HIGHLY recommend this vendor for ALL your cake needs in Lexington!

Post-wedding update: I absolutely recommend Tinker's for your wedding cake or other cake needs! Not only was our cake promptly delivered and absolutely perfect, but it was the best tasting wedding cake I've ever had. Moist and delicious, and many flavors offered! I received so much positive feedback about our wedding cake and also our groom's cake (which Cameron fashioned with my husband's two favorite mascots on top fighting a plethora of zombies which were falling off the sides of the cake). In addition, Cameron was great to work with-he called to confirm details a week out, was highly organized, and sent us a coupon for a free anniversary cake a year from now!
