I played this course on April 23 on a sunny 81 degree day. Apart from the occasional mud patch on the first and second holes, the course is exceptionally well maintained. The roughs are just the right length, the fairways are perfectly groomed and the greens are fast but also well maintained. The holes all have some kind of scenery beginning at each teebox and some holes have good scenery near the greens as well.
There are also five tees which is somewhat unusual. The best thing about this course though is the lack of major crowds. I never felt rushed to finish a hole on this course, I was able to play and enjoy the scenery at the same time. It is great that this course is out in the country because people don't realize it is there lol.

We went to Lake Arthur GC on December 9 because the weather was 70. The course was in fantastic shape for this time of year. They were actually rolling the greens which made them very fast. Fair ways were in exceptional condition. Just wanted to say thank you to the workers and the management for a Great job even in December. The best part for my senior buddies and I was a Great day for $25 see you again next spring.

I really enjoyed playing this course. It's well taken care of and I'm great condition. You could easily walk this course as the tee boxes are close the greens and not hilly at all as with a lot of PA courses. The roll the greens and were quick. Sand traps were raked. Course is a bit narrow with trees lining each fairway but could still hit driver on most holes. I will definitely be playing here again.

One of the best local public courses in the Butler County area. Course is well kept, nice layout and the greens are usually the best public course greens for the entire summer. Clubhouse has a small bar for drinks and limited kitchen. Additional event space provides a great location for golf scrambles.

I held a dinner here the other day and have to say that the property itself is beautiful and in a great location. We used the banquet hall for a dinner of around fifty people, which is about a third of its capacity, The giant bay windows overlooking the golf course are a great addition. There is even bar that is attached separately downstairs if you don't want to have any alcohol served at your event.
They were able to accommodate us on short notice which was very much appreciated. Scott was the person who made sure everything was ready, even early for us. A big thank you to him and everyone that works here as well to help make our dinner as lovely as possible.

I've had a family golf outing at this course for the last seven years but not this year (2013). The club is under new management and the reception I received while reserving the outing back in March was, shall we say, icy. Also, they couldn't guarantee "an outing of my size" (28) until the date got closer. I've booked other outings and gatherings for other types of functions (golf incuded) and there is one solid, hard, fast rule - BOOK EARLY. Seeing that my date couldn't be guaranteed, I moved elsewhere.
Now I get a phone call from them - two days away from the event - to confirm my outing with them. Are you serious? I tried to guarantee my date three months ago and it couldn't (or wouldn't) be done, so NOW you're calling me? I told the starter (Scott?) that since I never heard back from them when I initially inquired, I booked elsewhere.
Not unexpectedly, I received another icy response in the form of a huffy, "oh. OKAY!" and he hung up on me. If this is how they treat customers over the phone, I shudder how to think they are treating customers who show up to golf.
