I am so disappointed in my experience. I was working very closely with a representative for a large party. We had everything - tables, linens, chairs, chargers, plates, utensils, glasses etc etc. I received the updated quote after I was working with the representative that morning - and called an hour later to put the deposit down. I was then told they could no longer deliver because the delivery time frame was closed down at noon. I wasted hours with them and it was so unprofessional.

I am giving Durant's 1 star, because i can't give 0. Durant in Danbury CT ruined my son's wedding. They completely messed up the delivery of the tent for the wedding that took place on July 9th 2021. They delivered the tent on the day of the wedding in pouring rain, a full day late. The tent was supposed to protect the ground that the wedding was taking place on.
When i called to complain, the sales girl Shayna was extremely apologetic but then the "manager" named Barbara came on who was not just, unempathetic and unhelpful, but was down right rude. She blatantly lied and accused me of changing the order which forced them to change the delivery date. When i asked why i was not informed, she said, i should have known better.
She was uncooperative and refused to accept any responsibility. I have been ordering from Durant's for the last 10 years and they have been generally adequate. This was the last straw, never again. Beware. Take a look at the pictures, you can clearly see the tables are outside the tent, because it was too wet. I spent a few thousand dollars and got a service that even a dog doesn't deserve.

Working with Durant's was a pleasant experience UNTIL they received our final payment for our Wedding Day rental. They were responsive, informative and helpful with choosing the appropriate size of our dance floor and tent and all other aspects of our rental needs. Upon final payment all communication went out the window. From day one we received confirmation that all of our order would be delivered two days prior to our event.
We made arrangements to be in town for the delivery of our tent and rental items (tables, chairs, etc.). The tent arrived and was set up by midafternoon on the day everything was scheduled to arrive. We proceeded to wait the remainder of the day for the rest of the order, which ultimately never arrived. We called numerous times throughout the day trying to figure out where our order was, and we got the run around every time, but they kept telling us they did see all of the communication and notes in our file stating that everything would be delivered the same day.
We finally got a hold of the Manager who proceeded to tell us that the two parts of the order never get delivered on the same day, and that something that they didn't do. She also stated that she did not see any communication or notes stating same day delivery despite them seeing it in previous phone calls. After a long run around and a lot of arguing she ended up agreeing to refund us the delivery fee for our inconvenience and admitted to their mistake.
She then told us we were the first delivery the next day but refused to give any other information about when the items would arrive. The next morning around 10:30 am the rest of our rental items arrived and the condition of the chairs when they finally arrived was horrendous. They were covered in a thick layer of dust and not ready to immediately host our guests.
We ended up having to individually wipe down each of the 250 chairs so that they could be used. We pointed this out to the Manager in an email and she has yet to acknowledge the poor quality of their product even now a month removed. Two weeks post incident we still had not received a refund of the delivery fee and when I contacted her regarding it she refunded the improper amount, which eventually she corrected.
It was a tremendous headache to an otherwise perfect day. We would advise anyone we know to not work with them. If anything, go to them for all of the planning and figure out what you want and then find another company to purchase it all from.

Good service, reasonable prices. Need to have a parts inventory for rent rentals when you pick up. I was missing several pole parts. Fortunately, one side of the tent was being secured to another structure. It would have been a problem to go back for the poles. I did request a parts list and was told "not to worry."

Through a mutual friend I was suggested to go to Durants and speak to Dena. Initially she was so nice on the phone; I explained that we had a short time frame to rent party equipment for a wedding. She seemed so helpful initially and said she would get right back to me with a quote. Throughout the day no return calls - I left 2 vm and asked 4 times with an associate for her to c/b.
Finally reached her Friday 4:55 PM. She said there was nothing left, no chairs, tables, or anything else, not even an arch as they said they definitely had. I asked her where to go now and what can I do and she suggested I call Taylor rental - over an hour away (many more rental stores a lot closer). No compassion about my situation - if I were you I would reconsider other options first!
