I spoke with Jack over a month ago about needs I have for DJ and sound equipment in February. In the beginning, he stated he would need to look to see if the equipment I needed would something he can acquire. I totally get that- it's obscure equipment! After many follow ups (I have often had to email him multiple times to get an answer), he did respond that he was able to acquire the equipment, and that he needed further information about the venue to complete the quote.
I sent the information five days ago and have followed up three times without an answer. My fiance had to call to follow up, as he was not getting back to me. He told my fiance that "he has had logistical problems from the beginning and doesn't even know if he can do that weekend." This does not at all reflect the communication I've had with him so far.
Do not go to United Rental if you are looking for a straightforward answer. You should tell your customers what the reality of the situation is instead of ignoring them, and then when it comes down to the wire (and after I have to have my fiance follow up for me), say you "don't even know if you can do that weekend".
