This is a brides nightmare - we were completely blindsided by Drew. We hired him as our photographer/videographer for our wedding back in June (yes, I'm way behind the game writing this) and at first, he seemed so wonderful to work with! He was friendly and responsive and receptive of our visions for the wedding. As soon as our wedding was over however, everything changed.
We had such a hard time getting ahold of him! I tried to be patient but he took about two months past our agreed time period to get us our pictures and after that - nothing. He completely ghosted us and we didn't get any of our video footage from our wedding. I have called, emailed, and texted but haven't heard a thing from him. This is literally the saddest thing that could happen because those were precious moments I trusted him to capture and he completely betrayed us. I can't emphasize this enough, DO NOT WORK WITH DREW SEMEL FROM ILLUMINARTS

We worked with Drew, Amy and Becky for our destination wedding in Silverton, CO. We hired them for both videography and photography on June 26th 2021. It has been 6 months and I cannot get a hold of anyone. We put down a $900 deposit and haven't gotten our photos or video. This was a destination wedding with only 30 people present in the mountains where there was no cell service and because we trusted them to capture it all, we asked everyone to put their phones and cameras away.we have no other footage of our wedding or vows.
I don't even mind a longer turn around, I just wanted reassurance that nothing has happened to the footage. I tried calling, emailing and sent a message through the contact form on the website with no response. As you can imagine this is every brides worst nightmare. The photography and videography was by far the biggest expense of our wedding and we have nothing to show for it. Obviously I would not recommend hiring them, no matter how much you like their work or how great they seem when you meet them, it's not worth it.

Drew and his staff shot the most beautiful pictures of our wedding back in June. We can't thank them enough for the long day spent with us in unusual heat and in a cabin with no A/C : We made it through! He is so talented and nice as can be! Both our engagement and wedding photos will be something that we will cherish forever. Thank you so much for making our wedding perfect and making our pictures exactly what I wanted. Everyone is loving looking through them! I would highly recommend the team at Illuminarts!
