I worked here for over a month, trust me when I say do not bother giving your money to these people, the keep the rooms at bare minimum standard, and then marketed as rustic or whatever. Some pillow cases don't get washed everyday, you'd be lucky if your comforter was washed. Eggs in the kitchen aren't refrigerated At times they didn't inform housekeepers of possible COVID in the rooms

Wonderful experience staying here for 2 nights during a ski trip to Taos. The room was very comfortable and cozy, with southwestern charm. The breakfast and coffee were easy and hit the spot. I wish breakfast was served a bit earlier than 8am. 7:30 would have been better for those of us needing to leave to get to the mountain in time for opening. The hot tub was nice and hot and easy to access. I wish I had been staying here longer.

This review is purely for the experience I had with a retreat host. I did not stay at Blue Sky, so I am not able to comment on the accommodations. To all prospective retreat participants: please make sure to ask a lot of questions regarding travel to and from the airports to the retreat center. Please also ask as many questions as you need to feel comfortable.
As a single, female traveler my questions were met with toxic positivity, lack of empathy and spiritual bypassing techniques often times used by narcissistic "leaders" in the healing community. The experience leading up to the retreat was so unprofessional and unsupportive that I ended up canceling. The retreat owner kept 100% of my money as well with zero interest or understanding of my situation.
I have coordinated retreats in the past and know from personal experience that there are ways to work with the participants should they have an unsatisfactory experience. Just ask questions and remember that if the person taking your money seems irritated or condescending in her answers, you should run.

Accomodations were not what I expected. The retreat is off the beaten path and somewhat difficult to find. The buildings are old and not well maintained. Bathroom layout was terrible with the toilet paper dispenser almost in your lap. Very spacious room with fireplace and the bed was comfortable but it was very dated decor with old wrinkly rugs. On a positive not, the breakfast was included and good as was the coffee.

After a very bad morning and afternoon, we needed this place! Our room is perfect, exactly as pictured online. There is a wonderful little path on the grounds, meditation inspired. The main building is lovely. Room 11 is dog friendly, and my dogs approve! One note - if you are coming with your camper in tow, parking is going to be a real pain. We decided we needed a nice stop after camping for a week and a half, tomorrow we will have to figure out how to get out!

The best hotel I've ever stayed at! First off, I had three little kids, two big kids, and my husband and I, there was room for all of us in their family room! Their pool was wonderful, they have a slack line and a swing. Fruit trees cover their property too! This place is Very relaxing and family friendly to boot! There are toys in the heated pool area, books, games, and dvds in a little library area.
The breakfast was better than you could get at any restaurant, not to mention a hotel. The woman who cooks there is a GODDESS in the kitchen and is so nice. She made homemade muffins with apricots from the trees outside with apricot jam to go with it! There was perfectly seasoned and crispy potatoes, vegetable quiche, sausage, egg and cheese burritos, fresh salsa, granola with all the toppings, vegan yoghurt and regular yoghurt, fresh cut watermelon, hot tea, coffee, water.
All fresh, not frozen and typical, but made there with love. The beds were SO comfortable and there was 3 fans in our room! Also it was spotlessly clean! I'm so impressed and will stay here every time I come to Taos from now on.

If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax, find your center and have the most magical experience with beautiful views of the mountains, yoga in an authentic yurt, and cold plunging, with easy access to hiking trails and hot springs, look no further. The Blue Sky Retreat Center is set in the majestic mountains of Taos. The energy in this location is so powerful and life-changing.
The rooms are cozy and the bed was very comfortable. I had an amazing time at my retreat 2 weeks ago. Albina and Marina are amazing hosts. At this particular retreat, we were doing a detox cleanse so food was limited to fruits and veggies but every day, we had fresh fruit available and the roasted veggies were so tasty. I hear that when others are not detoxing, the food offered is delicious. I'm not going to lie, I smelled oatmeal for breakfast one morning and it smelled divine.

My stay at the Blue Sky Retreat was nothing short of spectacular! Marina and Albina were so incredibly welcoming and are such inspiring, charming people. I was able to let go of worries and fully relax during my time here. Marina is such a talented chef and I looked forward to each meal. Even our to go sandwiches were awesome! Albina clearly lives her yoga and greets each guest with such warmth and love.
The setting felt remote even though we were just minutes from downtown Taos. I enjoyed watching a Lewis's woodpecker at a tree outside the yurt before yoga in the mornings. I would definitely stay at Blue Sky again for a retreat or even just a weekend get away.
