Mende Dance Studio is located in Rego Park NY, and is open six days a week. We offer lessons and activities to suit every need and budget to all ages and levels in Latin, Ballroom, and nightclub dancing. For over 30 years the studio and our staff have provided a safe, relaxed atmosphere in which students may learn, practice, and enjoy dancing with people who share similar interests.

The studio is conveniently located near mass transit and the Long Island Expressway (a few blocks from the Queens Centre Mall in Rego Park). Private lessons are classes where you work one on one, at your own pace, on your own schedule with a teacher who is picked specifically to cater to your learning needs. They are by appointment only and can be made any time between 1pm and 10pm Monday through Friday and 9am - 2pm on Saturday. These custom designed lessons are wonderful for beginners or those who have past dance experience, and partners learn for FREE!
A large part of learning to dance is practice. Group classes are an excellent way to practice with many different partners, without feeling the intimidation of a crowded dance club floor. Group classes are also a wonderful way to socialize with people who have the same interests as you! And remember they are an economical way to learn how to dance, and fun! Attendance ranges between 10-40 people depending on the class, and includes students of all ages.Don't have a partner? No problem! Many of our students come by themselves!
An afternoon of dining and dancing with The NY Society of Teachers of Dancing at Terrace on the Park, Flushing NY. Includes open bar, cocktail hour, hot buffet, dance show, and DJ music. Tickets are $85.00 and must be purchased in advance. Free introductory group lesson for first time students. My wife (fiancee at the time) and I went to Mende's Dance Studio to have our first dance choreographed. Neither one of us can dance, WHATSOEVER! Mende and Eleni took the time and taught us how to dance to our song (Nothing Else Matters by Metallica). They taught us so well that we will probably be going back to learn different styles of dance. They made us appreciate dancing and to have fun while doing it. We highly, highly, highly recommend this establishment for anyone who is skeptical about dancing.

Eleny and Mende are the best dance teachers. Eleny prepared us for our wedding first dance song and we couldnt be more happier, more satisfied. We recommend this place to all the couples who know nothing about dancing and want to look good at their first dance at their wedding or just learn how to dance. They are very nice people too. Very family oriented. 5 stars.

My husband and I took classes from Mende for our wedding anniversary. We absolutely loved it! Mende is magnificent. He is very patient, very professional and very fun! We were enjoying our classes each time. We progressed a lot and everyone complimented our dance. We highly recommend Mende's studio!
