Class Act Professional DJ Service is Cedar Rapids and Eastern Iowa's Premier wedding DJ services in the area. We personalize each and every wedding. After all, it is your special day and it should be the way you want it. Any style, formal or non-traditional, we are here to accommodate you. Here at Class Act DJ, we pride ourselves in being able to offer unique lighting effects.
We can do any party (holiday, retirement, company anniversary, etc.). For Team Building or Corporate Olympics using our game show will encourage participation from everyone. This will make the event fun and informative, and is also a great tool for introducing new products to your employees. Our professional disc jockeys will be available for all of the above events.
We have the sound and lights available for school dances. Class Act Pro DJ has many different special effects: fog, bubbles, Big screen video, and many more. Class Act Pro DJ can also help you plan your prom theme. We meet with both the student body and faculty to work as a team to help your prom be a memorable and fun-filled event.
For that special Anniversary, we recommend using our DJ with big screen display. The video show of the couple is a wonderful tribute to the love and success in their relationship. From the day they first met to the present, the story of there life and love will be displayed for all to enjoy. Following up the rest of the evening one of our professional disc jockey's for music and dancing to finish the celebration.

Rob was a fantastic DJ for our wedding! We wanted the night to be fun and full of dancing and he delieved just that. Several of our guests have commented on how great the playlist was and have even wanted a copy of it. It has been three days and I am still sore from dancing all night long. We also opted for Rob to do the lighting for the reception which created such a fun atmosphere! Overall amazing experience!

We hired Class Act to DJ our wedding in Canmore in October 2020, and we could not be happier with our choice! From the time we first got in touch, Rob was responsive to all of our requests and very helpful throughout the planning process. Using his website to plan our playlist was intuitive and efficient. We appreciated Rob's experience and advice when selecting our first, second and third dance songs.
At the wedding reception, Rob helped facilitate our speeches by having a sanitized microphone ready for each new speaker (Covid friendly!). During the dance, Rob was great at reading the room and keeping the dance floor full. He accommodated the eclectic mix of requests from our guests (and us) without issue. Rob Lavery was amazing! He DJ'd our wedding in Invermere and was nothing short of phenomenal. From the first song, he had the dance floor full, kept everyone moving and energized and was incredibly flexible when any guests requested songs from him. It was exactly what we wanted for our day. Leading up to the date, he was detail oriented but low-key and easy to work with. Took care of all the planning and made for an incredibly stress-less interaction. I highly recommend hiring Class Act DJ and will be telling everyone to use these guys whenever possible. Class Act DJ and DJ Rob Lavery are the best!

He played great music in line with our tastes, was very professional and did an excellent job as our MC. He kept the dance floor moving and as a local based DJ, we knew he would be reliable. Rob from Class Act DJ went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding. Rob was always so prompt at responding to our emails and answering all of our questions. The online event form that was provided was so easy to fill out and asked all the right questions, including items we hadn't thought of. Rob mixed in all of our favourite songs, completely understood the vibe we were going for, read the vibe of the dance floor and made the night of dancing unforgettable. Rob from Class Act DJ Service was the DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception in Banff this July. It was a pleasure to work with him from the first meeting and throughout the whole planning process as well as on the wedding day. He was always super approachable, helpful and quick to respond. Class Act DJ is so easy and smooth to work with. We let Rob take control for the most part and couldn't have asked for a better soundtrack for the whole day. The extra special touch was our wedding playlist on Spotify that he shared with us after the wedding. Highly highly recommend Class Act DJ. You will not be disappointed.

Rob is a GEM! Absolutely amazing. You will not go wrong. He was so patient and understanding with our unique musical requests (we weren't the typical group, many guests were from Europe) and so helpful with preparing our big night. He not only delivered musically, but also with lights; we wanted a gobo and he found one that looked just like the one we liked.
Above all, he made the entire process of preparing for our big night easy and smooth. We are so glad we chose to work with him. Music and the party after dinner was so important to us, and Rob pulled it all off beautifully. You can't go wrong with this one!

We had a great experience with Class Act. We worked with Rob for the booking and details. As our wedding got closer we worked with Patrick Smiley, our specific DJ, on any special songs and the layout of the dance. Patrick exceeded our expectations. He kept the dance floor busy all night, played all of the songs we requested and totally read our audience to engage everyone. We would 100% hire Class Act again. We received a lot of positive comments from our wedding guests.
