The Hitching Post specializes in small, short, intimate, and private weddings for couples who desire a traditional Christian wedding ceremony. We believe that every wedding is special and realize how important this day is to those who walk through our doors. At one point in time a railway tunnel ran under where the Hitching Post now stands, which was built in 1955.
Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life and we are honored that you've considered letting us share it with you. Here at the Hitching Post, we strive to make each couple feel special by welcoming you into our facility and making your wedding day a positively memorable event. Whether this is your first marriage, a vow renewal, or a second chance at love, we would love to perform your wedding ceremony. Our small and intimate indoor facility at the Hitching Post allows you to share your wedding day with those closest to you.
I have read and acknowledge the Wedding Policy referenced above in FULL and agree to comply with all requirements. Describe any other information we may need, such as additional flowers or a link to the location's website, or tell us how we can help make your wedding special.
With such beautiful outdoor scenery within a short distance from the Hitching Post, many of our couples have opted to have their wedding ceremonies at other locations such as Lake Coeur d'Alene or local parks including Farragut State Park. Weddings at some outdoor venues such as Riverstone Amphitheatre, Farragut St. Park, require reservations and a fee through the Coeur d'Alene Parks Dept, or State Park offices.

Very disappointed in this place. Wanted to get married to my wife. Judgemental people wouldn't let that happen. People who are judgemental and rude are a disappointment to the world and everyone who just wants to be happy obviously this place doesn't support and just a rude and hateful place. ZERO STARS!

I've been here twice recently for other peoples weddings.the female isn't very family friendly. The ceremony isn't very personal either, never said their names nor pronounced them husband and wife. It's low cost and you get what you pay for I suppose.

The decor was very nice and if you want to take pictures they will turn out really nice. The gentleman performing the ceremony is pretty nice but can get long winded. Maybe he could give it a little more romantic and persoal touch as in his wording ( just a suggestion).Over all a really nice place to be married

Lovely little chapel. The minister was wonderful and the ceremony was beautiful. I didn't hear the same old promises but a very practical vow exchanged by two people with beautiful scriptures.

This Chapel provides three settings for a small gathering. It is intimate, friendly, and Christian religious based. It was extremely well priced. Extras if you want and if not they don't pressure you. I had nothing negative occur. In fact they switched our schedules with someone who was early because we forgot our license since the other party was happy to do so! No fuss. (And bless you unknown bride it was your !)

We found the ceremony to be thoughtful and beautifully done. We were both quite impressed and happy with everything.

This was exactly perfect for my ceremony. The mans name who officiated my ceremony went by the name of DON, and may I just say - what a lovely person. I felt instantly warm, and a sincere joy and maybe even like he knew me, like he cared about me and my to be husband. There are options as to the packages available for your ceremony. rings? Being walked down the aisle?

Etc etc.and I promise if you call ahead and ask your questions someone (it was Don for myself) will answer you with patience and enthusiasm. oh and if you get so excited you forget your wedding license at home and have to go back to get it and you're running late, they will wait on you, lol! THANK YOU FOR A PERFECT MOMENT and for taking beautiful photos!

Niece got married there. Kids forgot their Wedding Certificate an hour away. Hitching Post was kind enough to let them reschedule 3 hours later.
