Our team is dedicated to ensuring everyone who walks through our doors has the same great experience. The majority of Mothers dresses are available for purchase off the rack while some can be special ordered.
We recommend having your measurement taken at another bridal shop or by a professional seamstress or tailor for the best results. We do not recommend you measure yourself. Designers sizes are determined by the bust, waist, and hip measurements. See the helpful tips below! Place the measuring tape so that it covers the widest part of your back and the fullest part of your bust. Do not pull the tape too tight. The tape should be flush with your skin or undergarments without creating a divot in your skin.

Step'n Out is an exceptional bridal shop, across the board! The staff & service is absolutely STELLAR! The prices are excellent! Everything is neat, clean, and so well-stocked! Kesley is an absolute DOLL! Highly recommend! If you live elsewhere in Montana, the trip to Billings is definitely worth it, to check out this shop! From gowns to veils to jewelry and beyond, they've got you covered!

This was such an amazing experience! Thank you Alyssa for helping me find my dream dress and being so professional, fun, and so sweet! My mom and I had been shopping for a wedding dress for some time and the experience at step'n out was just hands down the best! I didn't feel any pressure to buy or try on something that I didn't like.
I was worried about not finding "plus size" dresses and this store had a great selection and I felt zero body shame here. I also got to take a cute picture with a "I said yes to the dress" sign and get a mini bottle of bubbly. So excited to wear my dress on the big day! Thank you for all of your help!

Step'n Out is truly an authentic, beautiful, classy boutique where I successfully found my wedding dress. A lovely woman named Jessica took care of me and welcomed my bridal party. She was personable and truly cared about my experience as I tried to find the perfect dress for me. She was patient, kind, and very helpful. The dresses here are more unique and the service is very professional and welcoming. I highly recommend Step'n Out to anyone shopping for bridal wear.

Kesley was there to greet me as soon as I walked in the door and was very friendly. She made the dress shopping experience so personal and exciting. To my amazement, every dress she pulled was even better than the last! While in the dressing room she was sure to make me feel so confident and checked on me every time we went in after showing my entourage the dress. I really felt like she cared about me as a person and as a bride. Kesley really made the experience!

I came in for a last minute dress, without an appointment, Daphne made me feel absolutely AMAZING. I cannot rave enough about the personal experience she gave me. We left, dress in hand, feeling happier than ever. Her bubbly personality and attention to detail were a highlight. I worked with Jessica on Saturday and this was my third bridal store to try on wedding dresses. Jessica was so friendly and helpful. She offered great service and was happy to accommodate my group too! She really listened to me and found dresses that I really liked within my budget. I found the perfect wedding dress yesterday at Step'n Out! From the moment we walked in, the environment was very welcoming and relaxed. Jessica, the bridal consultant who helped me, was AMAZING! I told her what kind of style I was looking for and she knew exactly what dresses to show me. She was extremely attentive, knowledgable about the dresses, and so sweet.
She made the whole experience fun and stress-free. Kesley was also extremely helpful when I came back to take measurements. THANK YOU so much for making my experience incredible!

I had an amazing experience at Step'n Out! I was so indecisive about what dress I wanted. Thought I had it all figured out, but definitely did not! Anna helped me find the perfect dress and happily listened to me flap my jaws about anything and everything. She was very friendly and made me feel 100% comfortable and confident. She put in her opinion when asked, and even politely gave the unwanted advice.
She wasn't going to let me look anything short of my best on my special day! When my wedding date moved up, she was doing everything she could to make sure I'd get my dress on time! When I developed a baby bump and the dress no longer looked so great and other plans changed, Anna was so kind and encouraging. I recommend Step'n Out to any bride and groom!

I got married this January & purchased my dress & bridesmaids dresses from Step N' Out. I had an amazing experience there! Everyone was so nice & so helpful! They were really good about keeping me within my budget & not pressuring me to spend more. Also, a great selection! I really just have wonderful things about them. Everything about it was great.
My consultant made me feel so welcome & cared for & I basically left there wanting to be her best friend. I called her back so many times (changing my mind on colors 3 times) & she never once got annoyed with me. She was so patient & made me feel like my big day was just as important to her! PS- Their lady who does all the alterations also did an amazing job!

This place is top notch. The sales associates are incredible. During my appointment, our sales associate really listened to the feedback I was giving about the dresses I was trying and pulled amazing samples for me to try on. She stayed within my budget and let me know if a dress was out of my budget and didn't pressure me to try it on if I didn't want to.
I brought a larger group with me and our associate was more than accommodating. The staff here are kind, courteous and customer service minded. I ended up not being able to decide right then and there during my appointment and I didn't feel rushed or pressured to choose or buy one that day. I recommend making an appointment, it just makes things easier.
I ended up going back the next day and purchased my dress. They were very specific and up front about the sizing, receiving/shipping process as I live out of state and assured me nothing will be done until I give me consent over the phone when the dress arrives. This is a lovely bridal and prom boutique. I drove there from Great Falls to try on specific bridesmaid dresses for a wedding I'll be in that's in Pennsylvania. This was the closest store to carry this dress line. I first communicated with the store on their online "contact us" portal, and they were very helpful with providing info before I drove all the way to Billings.
They had a variety of sizes available to try on. The staff members were very helpful and friendly! Because I had a very specific goal and knew just what dresses I needed to try, we were able to run through everything pretty quickly. It looked like they had a pretty big selection of wedding gowns and there were a few girls there at the same time who tried on some beautiful prom-style dresses.

I would recommend Step'n Out to anyone looking for a beautiful and affordable wedding dress! While looking for wedding dresses I visited many different boutique's (in Billings, Butte and Bozeman), but my best experience by far was at Step'n Out. Marge was my consultant the first couple times I tried on dresses, and I also had assistance from other consultants while I was in the process of deciding on my dress.
They were all extremely knowledgeable, fun, enthusiastic and helpful, and helped me to pick out the perfect dress! I could not believe the huge selection of dresses available at this store. I feel like there is something for everyone. There were so many beautiful dresses that it was hard to choose, but I am so thankful that I had this wonderful experience, and very happy with the dress I chose. Again, I would HIGHLY recommend Step'n Out!

I recently started my wedding dress shopping adventure and was so delighted with the experience I had! All of the sales girls were not only knowledgable about their inventory but really let me explore and helped guide me into the perfect dress. I even had a minor freak out and needed to try on a few more dresses to be sure I had picked the right one. Anna was a pro at helping me understand what my fears were and let me know that she would be willing to spend all day with me to help me find the perfect dress for me. I'm still in the process of ordering, etc. so I'll update later but could not be happier so far!

I live in New Orleans, but am getting married in my home state of MT, so I went to Step'n Out to look for dresses. I had THE BEST experience I've ever had in a bridal store. I have tried on dresses in multiple stores in New Orleans (where I live) and nothing compared to the service I got at Step'n Out. Marge was my consultant and she was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about every dress and every little add-on and option with the dresses.
She answered every question I had. Their variety and number of dresses is really surprising. I couldn't get through the pile I made in the hour and a half I was there and am waiting to go back! I had food poisoning when I went (I was on vacation in MT visiting my family and my fiance's family, so I had to go even though I was sick) and everyone was so accommodating and understanding when I had to take frequent breaks and had to drink tons of water.
The rest of the staff were also so great. Everyone at Step'n Out made me feel comfortable, beautiful, and so excited about my future wedding! I can't wait to go back!

I went to this business a couple of years ago to find a wedding dress with my mom. The sales people made me feel horrible. I am not a size 2, but they made me feel like the biggest human being on earth and that I was not at all worth their time. I left after letting the sales person talk down to me for 5 minutes and will never go back. I have also had numerous friends and family who still live in Billings have horrible service from this business. Dresses and tuxes ordered months in advance, delivered only days before the event leading to huge last minute alerations cost. Everyone seems to have a "well it's not my problem" attitude. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSWHERE!
