Beware! Hotel is under construction. We showed up at 2:15 for a 4:00 check in. That is a late check in time but at least we where aware of it. We waited until after 4 for text to tell us room # and room was ready. Had to go to front desk. Gentleman at front desk said room was not ready so he got the manager. Manger gave us our room but said semi-private balcony would be closed until following day.

We ungraded after booking for the balcony. It is now 2:42pm the second day and balcony is not open and all I hear are power tools and all I see are construction workers in our Ocean view The manager on staff did understand and compensated for lack of use of balcony and construction. Staff has been helpful. Rooms are also very clean and updated. When construction is complete this will be a great hotel for honeymoon or family. Will be 4 1/2 stars.

The external rooms around the pool were extremely clean, wonderful decor and layout. Modern beach decor with full kitchen. Definitely a hotel stay in the future. Restaurant good great as well. Staff were welcoming.

Rooms are newer and clean. This year our room was on the first floor and it was insanely noisy walls seemed paper thin. Last year we had a townhouse suite which was amazing! I would only stay in the townhouse suite if we go again. Also, both this year and last year the front desk called very early in the morning asking me to move my vehicle due to exterior painting being done.

It wasn't a bad place to stay at. The beach was across the street so it was always great that you can walk there. It was under construction when we went and there was a lot of strong paint smells and other things. Cleaning service could've been a bit better as well. I just feel like they pushed things to the side and swept the floor and didn't dust.

The hotel restaurant could've been better as well. The wait staff wasn't too friendly. The key cards kept demagnitising so it was annoying when you got to your room and the card didn't work and you would need to head all the way back downstairs for a new one. The room walls were also paper thin, we could hear what everyone was doing and saying as well as they could definitely hear us too.

Booked for a baby moon and was excited to stay. Was planning on the trip being a test for a new family vacation spot. We came down with covid and were on quarantine while having to go to the hospital in case of an emergency induction. I contacted the hotel three days before the check in date(the day after being up all night with the GI stuff). I was out on hold as "desk was currently busy" so they took down my number and then disconnected with no call back.

I tried again an hour later. The staff was great and the manager had us go through booking.com to cancel. Two days pass and booking.com reaches out saying the hotel isn't responding. I contact the hotel and I'm told I have a 200$ cancellation fee for same day. I explain everything and all I got was the managers voicemail. Needless to say no one I know will ever stay there. Save your money and just rent one of the hundred Air b&bs.

Not our first time here, but definitely our last. I booked the Valentine's Weekend package for my fiance and I. We got in late Friday night, and went to bed shortly after arriving. I didn't check out our bathroom until bedtime in my pajamas. I was grossed out to see a substantial amount of dried urine on the commode side. I decided to address it in the morning.

The next morning we left early for our activities. I saw the maids by our room, and against my better judgment, decided to trust they'd address it since I'd requested service. Upon arrival back to our room very late that night, they hadn't. We checked out early Sunday, and I brought it up to the young lady at the desk. I simply said (very politely) it may be something to make Housekeeping aware of.

The receptionist proceeded to very rudely ask me why I waited to say something. Her tone was so defensive, it was as if she was ridiculing me for mentioning it. I very quickly let her know we requested service and expected it wouldn't be missed twice. I also reminded her that we checked in late. Never in a million years would I expect a front desk person at an expensive hotel to make me feel guilty for mentioning dried pee on the side of a toilet! The apology with the attitude was unacceptable. We'll go elsewhere.

Incredible ladies at the front desk. I was dropping off a delivery and had fallen on ice due to the weather (Not Here). The one woman at the front desk went and got me a bag of ice for my back. Thank you for your compassion and kindness.

Beautiful hotel, steps from the beach. I gave this 4 stars because of the restaurant hemmingways which is part of the hotel. 1 drink from this bar will have you crawling to your room and the food was just ok. They redeemed themselves with dessert and the staff were incredible and welcoming. I just think they need to make some adjustments to the quality of their food. Additionally, they put us in a handicap room, which was fine except they had little to no counter space in the bathroom and the towel hooks and the bathroom door were not reach-able for someone who was handicap. Neither me or my boyfriend are but it didn't seem like the most handicap friendly room. Other than that it is was a nice place to stay.

My best friend and I stayed here last weekend (12/10/21 - 12/12/21) and we had a fabulous time. The location is great and you are close to the beach. Ryan and Sierra greeted me with friendly smiles and were delightful. They gave my friend and I some suggestions on food and answered my questions. Whenever I passed by the desk and Ryan and Sierra they talked to me like they've known me for a long time.

They were that friendly and engaging. Our room was very clean as was the bathroom and kitchenette. This made our stay very comfortable. When I come back to Cape May this spring I will definitely stay at the Grand. Please thank Ryan and Sierra for their kindness during our stay!

The place is really nice. There are a TON of room options. Super clean, and the staff were as nice as anyone could be, except for 1 front desk worker. He wasn't the most pleasant chap. I believe there was someone name Ryan(forgive me if I'm wrong) but his customer service skills are impeccable. He needs a raise. Also the pool area, remarkably clean, and we had it to ourselves. So nice. I cannot wait to return.

Everyone was very good that worked at the hotel especially Yvonne. The only problem we had was with the gentleman Ed who ran the breakfast in the morning he really doesn't know how to treat people extremely rude, And he was the manager. thank God we had John as our waiter he was excellent and so are the other women who ran the other breakfasts and dinners Some of my seniors were a little disappointed that there's no complimentary coffee in the lobby And there was no where to hang out at night there's only two couches in the lobby and they told me if we wanted to rent a room for $250 a night but we'd have to do that in advance most hotels let you sit and hang out

We have frequented this hotel many times in the past 10 years. Our past two stays were beyond disappointing. The staff is rude, and our hotel room was a makeshift room. The size is great it's huge with stair that lead to nowhere but an "emergency exit door". We paid top dollar to sleep on a full size Murphy bed. My 3 year old could spackle and bathroom better then the person who did.

The sink counter is not even on evenly the mirror is nowhere near center. My suggestions who ever doing installations use a level. Our room was absolutely the staff overnight room or common area. I asked to use a wine opener that was not included in the efficiency room and was told we are out you can purchase one from our gift shop. I used the love coming to this hotel my husband and I have been doing so for 10 years but sadly to say, this will Be our last stay here. I can't justify the price spent to sleep on a full size Murphy bed.

Check in time at 4. Room not ready. We were told that we will be texted a room number when it was ready and they circled 6 rooms were it will be. At 423 we got the text. Had dinner reservations at 430. just made it. Had to cross parking lot in bathing suit to go to indoor pool or use changing room. We chose changing room bit realizing there were no private areas.

Pool was supposed to be 84 degrees year round. It was 75 at best. Plus the door to enter let the child sit into the pool area for 7-10 every time it opened, which happened a lot as people simply walked by, walked in or even longer when gawkers would stop by, stand there and take pictures. not fun. Then we go to turn down the sheets and I'm no forensic scientist but I think I know what a blood mark looks like, and there were two on my sheets.

We went to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel was nice enough although not as grand as the place where we spent our honeymoon but it was very nice. The best thing by far for a late November stay was the indoor swimming pool. First it was mildly salty and did not smell of chlorine. Second it was a good size for quite a number of people. Third it has beautiful sea murals on the walls that my artist husband loved.

But best of all, it was not cold! I hate cold water and miss swimming in the Gulf of Mexico. This pool water was almost that warm! I saw people wade in with a grateful "ahhh." We will be back! We loved it!

I tend to be long-winded in my reviews, but I'll try my best to be brief. Had never been to Cape May, so over the Thanksgiving break the wife and my parents figured we'd leave town (Annapolis, MD) and do something different. Cape May is, obviously, a town that thrives in the late Spring/Summer and early Fall. A lot of the hotels were closed for the season, but the Grand was hopping.

We stayed the first night in a room on the second floor (I turned to my wife and said "Second floor? Always get the top floor.") She rolled her eyes. But, sure enough, we had folks stomping around above us that ended around midnight and started again at 6AM the next morning. We had one more day so I said I was going to try and see if we could swap our room for one on top.

The front desk was very accommodating. They gave me keys to four different rooms said "tell us which one you want. It's no problem." So both my parents and the wife and I chose a different room. No up-charge either. The indoor pool was a haven for the little ones (we don't have any that age) so having known that I'd have probably chosen some other place, but the service was top notch and we all really appreciated how the hotel handled this situation. Would I stay there again? It's difficult to say. I'm one that likes his peace and quiet, but the location and service would keep me coming back.

This hotel is located across the street from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Enough said!** It has a full service restaurant and bar, though I don't believe there was room service, you could order your meal to go. Mom and I ate one meal each day at the restaurant. The prices on the menu reflect on your location to the beach, off season or not. Go in for the early bird selection!

The food was delicious. The bar drinks were great. The staff, throughout the restaurant and hotel, were upbeat and hard working. We had a two room suite with a kitchenette. It had everything we needed to eat our lighter meals in the room. The view from our balcony was of the kitchen fans and other machines, but if you looked to your left you could see the ocean and there was a nice breeze coming in from that direction.

I chose this hotel because of the driving distance and location to my mother's home in Haddonfield. We hadn't seen one another since 1/2020 and I wanted to treat us both. I would consider staying here again, off season, in the future.
