Moon River Ranch

This was a fathers Day trip for my husband. He had no idea where we were going so as we were getting closer and he saw the corn fields he began to ask questions. I had him thinking he was going to be milking cows. It really is a beautiful place and the staff is very friendly. We stayed in the gardenia house and it was very clean and comfortable. Tracy has a very fun personality. She was very kind from the first phone call I made to book the trip. Would definitely recommend this place but maybe not in June. We plan to go back in the fall.

A hidden gem with the best staff. I can not find the words to describe our 2 night 3 day stay. If relaxing, and if fishing on the Brazos River isn't enough. Rent the UTV. We had the best day driving around the ranch and spotting the wildlife hidden out in their pastures. Feeding them was a blast and our tour guide was so educational on each species, and what they eat and the husbandry.

The Old Town really steps you back into history and is good gravy for your soul. Every accommodation you can think of they have, and the staff catering to every need. We will be enjoying our new found treasure and explore all the other ammentieies we couldn't fit in to the trip!

What an amazing place! and it is beautifully decorated! I didn't know what to expect as I just drove until my GPS told me to stop. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly staffed that even though it was a few minutes before 5:00PM they let me use the bathroom before checking in. They took the time to take me to my room and explain that everything the ranch has to offer!

Left me wishing I had more time to stay here. There is a beautiful pond to take a walk next to. They have hayrides and atv rentals! The rooms are amazing as well. My room also had great internet! Thank you Moon River Ranch, I can't wait to comeback!

There's something about being out in nature that just feels good. Maybe it's the fresh air, or the sounds of the animals, but whatever it is, I always feel better after spending some time on a ranch. Recently, I had the chance to stay at Moon River Ranch, and it was a great experience. The ranch is located near Waco, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming.

One of my favorite things about the ranch was getting to help with the animals. I've always loved animals, and it was great to get to spend some time working with them. The 3bedroom house was very clean and the rustic log cabin look made us feel like we were truly on a ranch. The safari ride was so fun and the animals were out and several came Up to the hummer we were riding in.the hayride was an experience as we soaked in the gorgeous sunset! The kids loved the pool overlooking the water. The Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Thanks for everything!

Absolutely beautiful ranch and facility. The Safari is amazing and the lodging is wonderful. Very convenient to get around. The rustic style is incredibly tasteful. Would 100% recommend this location to any party looking to create a memorable experience.

We just returned from an amazing Spring Break getaway at Moon River Ranch & can't say enough about how much we enjoyed ourselves. The property is absolutely gorgeous, well maintained & there's something neat to see at every turn. We loved staying in the old western hotel they use as the Bridesmaid's House; it's so cute inside & out! Everyone at the ranch is friendly, helpful & welcoming.

I have to give Keisha a special shoutout. She is a doll with the best customer service & hospitality skills I've ever experienced on a trip. Keisha was so patient with my many calls & questions while she worked to accomodate our last minute reservations. My daughter & her friend really enjoyed interacting with her too every time they had to go in the office. Keisha even sent fresh eggs home with the girls.

Our visit was packed with several activities & yet at the same time it was a very relaxing vacation. We rented an ATV, signed up for the safari tour, did axe throwing, fished, canoed & I signed up for 90 minute horseback ride. Billy is the best horseback trail guide I've ever had. His championship horses are beautiful & you get to see views of the surrounding property that you wouldn't otherwise see.

I had so much fun! The next time we visit we'll add skeet shooting to our itinerary & when it's warmer we'll utilize one of the sandy beaches on the river. We are looking forward to future trips to the ranch.

My family and I had so much fun staying in the Yellow Hotel! It was clean and comfortable, everyone was so polite and welcoming. The sites were beautiful, there was plenty to see from different animals to the different styles of each cabin. It was peaceful and relaxing!

Visited to check out the location and venue for a 120 person Family Reunion. It is a beautiful place and will fit our large family perfectly. The people who work there were so nice and so accommodating. They seemed to really care about what all you need to make your event a success. Would highly recommend Moon River Ranch for either a large event or just a weekend getaway for two or your whole family.

I just had my wedding at Moon River Ranch and it was absolutely incredible! First and foremost, Cayla and Tricia took care of all of our needs. They were super helpful and responded to every single request within minutes. They helped greet all of the guest regardless of the time of day. I couldn't have pics to better site coordinators than those two.

The rooms were absolutely fantastic and we were able to sleep quite a few of our out-of-town guests. The rooms are rustic with so much character and leave every guest walking away with a memorable experience. The party barn is a huge space and comfortably fit 170 people with a large dance floor. The kitchen both in the party barn and the main lodge were fantastic and helped us easily serve food to our guests.

The ice machine and freezers as well as fridges on site are all huge. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. They were so sweet and immediately started cleaning up leaves and trying to clean the place up after a bad night of storms and wind before the wedding. All of my guest walked away saying this was the best venue they had ever seen. I highly recommend hosting any event there because it will absolutely be perfect. The safari tour and ATV rental s are also totally worth it!

The hospitality was amazing at this place. Was able to stay here for a wedding and stay in two different rooms, both offering two different experiences - both comfortable and clean. The property is very large with lots of things to do from ATV, hay rides, wildlife adventures and more. The nearest town is about 30+ minutes away, so make sure to bring some food.

The rooms have fridges and some have a full kitchen. There are chickens, mini horses, deer and more. We also had a flat tire (bc my tires are way overdue for a change, not because of anything at the property) and they had someone come to help us air up the tire so we could go to the nearest shop.

Came to this lovely place last weekend for a girls trip. Great place to get out of the city and just enjoy what nature has to offer. Just awesome country vibe. Over 500 acres with ATV and exotic zoo safari! All on the backdrop of the Brazos river. Kayaking and fishing also available. Wonderful customer service and staff! Ask for Kendra when booking.

She was fantastic and made sure we had the best the Ranch has to offer! Clay was our awesome safari tour guide and Jack of all trades. Would highly recommend this place! It's perfect for family, big events or just a couple's private getaway.

We organized a Corporate Retreat at Moon River Ranch. It was the perfect setting for our retreat. The Lodge was perfect for our meetings as well as a great place to hang out in evening. The food was fabulous and the owner and his staff were very personal and hospitable. I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for a week during a family reunion. The location is very secluded and private. The rooms in the main house are decorated with a lot of Texan flare. We felt like we couldn't walk anywhere on the property without seeing something new. The house had so much personality. The ranch hand, Matthew (I think his name was) was incredibly friendly and took many of us out to the pastures to see and feed the longhorns one afternoon. Such a great experience.

We just put on a weekend of corporate meetings at Moon River Ranch and are so pleased with our experience. The manager, Mickey, took wonderful care of our event details and our guests. The rooms were unique, luxurious and clean and the grounds were beautiful - roses blooming, sandy river beaches and fire pits for gathering after hours. Our guests had a great time shooting skeet, hiking, swimming, roasting s'mores on the beach and just rocking on the porch that overlooks the pool and palm trees. Y'all, this place is great - GO!

I'm from the Northwest and went here this weekend for my cousin's wedding. It was truly an experience. The place is in the middle of nowhere but everything you need is at the ranch. We stayed in the nearby farmhouse. It was probably the original house that was on the ranch. It was rustic and cute. The small bathroom shower didn't really work but the main shower was okay (decent water pressure).

The bunk beds were fine for us. The pond was super fun and there was a paddle boat. We went out several times for that and had a blast. The pool was great for lounging and cooling off. They did a hayride around the ranch, which was fun --even for us adults. The cows, donkeys and llamas all roamed free. There was skeet shooting (looked fun but I didn't try it).

The main lodge was HUGE and totally impressive. There was so much to see you'd never see it all. Every time I went in there I discovered something new. It was like a maze in there with lots of rooms and places to stay. The actually wedding was outside in front of the cute chapel and the reception was in the barn. The decorations were adorable.

The bridesmaids arrived in a red pickup truck and the bride arrived in a horse-drawn carriage. It was a cool, fun wedding and everything was perfect. It's a great spot! I highly recommend this place.
