I am glad to see that Alice is still playing beautiful music. Alice played harp and keyboard/piano for our wedding roughly a decade ago. She played prelude/entrance music by herself, as well as being an accompanist to a soloist and a quartet of singers (not the easiest thing to make sure everyone was reaching a high musical standard and harmonizing well).
We also were privileged to hear her on other occasions before and after our wedding. She shows up on time and is professional. She also has a collaborative creativity, where she talks with people to understand preferences, offer suggestions, and then comes up with exceptional music. I highly recommend her!

Alice recently played the harp for both my wedding ceremony and reception, and truly made the day "heavenly" for my new bride and I. From her very open willingness to help design a musical program based on our preferences, Alice made the day memorable and unique, resulting in numerous compliments from our friends and family. Make your event special by giving Alice a call - you won't go wrong!

My daughter was married May 28th at Sanborn park in Saratoga. The ceremony was delayed at least an hour due to an accident on Hwy 17. The groom was waiting for his suit to arrive. ' Alice played the harp beautifully and the sound of the music in the circle of the redwood trees was incrediblle. She was very gracious and did not complain about the delay Thank you Alice for helping make my daughter's wedding day very special.

When I first set foot on the Nestldown grounds back in April, it was for their wedding vendor showcase and Alice Yau was in the outdoor ceremony area playing her harp with the gorgeous, peaceful music flowing through the redwood trees. I made a mental note that day that if we ended up booking Nestldown, I would definitely get in touch with Alice regarding playing the harp for our ceremony.
Several months have passed and we met with her tonight for a free consultation at her home in Los Gatos. Upon walking in we immediately noticed the harp and a gorgeous grand piano. She played classical, contemporary and blended snippets of songs on the harp and even played a couple on the piano at my fiance's request. The sound out of both instruments is amazing and you can tell she's a master of her craft. She's extremely friendly and answered all of our questioned and made great suggestions when we inquired.
In case you're wondering, she is multi-talented and is available to play piano, the harp, the flute, and/or the organ for weddings and other private events throughout the bay area. So after hearing her play (and me almost tearing up when I heard the Wedding March on the harp), we've booked her and can't wait to hear her play again - only next time it will be at our wedding in May!

We are celebrating our one year anniversary and over the past year we have often thought of what a wonderful job Alice Yau did on our wedding music. She met with us in advance to review all of our options. We requested the harp for our ceremony and piano for our cocktail hour. She did a fantastic job and we wish her continued success. Thank you, Alice!
