In 1892, the FirstEnergy Powerhouse was built to provide power for the Woodland and Westside Street Railway Company. The West Side Railroad Co. was the first Cleveland streetcar line to run west of the Cuyahoga River and carried passengers from Superior and Vineyard St. to the Flats, then across the river on the Center Street Bridge.
Celebrate in the heart of Cleveland's waterfront, with dazzling views of the City's skyline. With multiple rooms available, Window on the River can accommodate groups of any size with banquet and catering facilities that are perfect for weddings and receptions. To make the planning of your special day a bit easier, Windows on the River has created a group of all-inclusive wedding packages.
It's no secret that Saturdays in spring and summer take the cake for couples to tie the knot. But for those more focused on creating moments and memories than spending their budget lavishing their guests, the Simply Elegant Package is a popular alternative. It's a very special package for weddings scheduled on Fridays and Sundays or any day within the months of January, February and March. All deposits (less $500) are nonrefundable unless we are able to re-book the space with the minimum attendance requirement.
The only thing you should be concern about on your big day is beginning a new life together with your partner. It is a milestone moment that deserves to be celebrated and set apart from the average affair. This package is ideal for the celebratory couple looking to host a beautiful event and keep some in the budget for a heavenly honeymoon.

I went there with some kids from my school as representatives and we had this waiter named Shaun (Shawn? Sean?). He was very very nice and friendly and was also very helpful. Please give this man a raise! The food was amazing and the venue was also amazing. The meeting was fun and I would love to go there again!

I wish I could give a 4. A little disappointed with this venue (sorry). Since this was during COVID, I thought the venue would have spread guests out, 8 guests to a table is tight to begin with, would have been more appropriate if they took social distancing a little more seriously, over 200 on the guest list. They did make an announcement for guest to wear masks and if they did not have one they would be able to provide them.
I found slightly disappointing is the vegetarian meal, the pasta was boring & bland (however the grilled veg was delicious), a half twice baked potato was a compliment to the dish. I did request a vegan meal (dairy and gluten & shellfish allergy here )unfortunately the pasta dish contained dairy. The salad that accompanied the dinner was okay (typical icwberg & romaine mix couple cucumbers and two tomato wedges).
There was beef Wellington, figs with feta cheese & cocunut shrimp hors d'oeuvres, which all looked appetizing. The service was decent and the bartenders were nice as well. The venue (building and atmosphere)itself was nice. Too tight during COVID, should have been more accommodating considering the space was available. I would recommend attending this venue for the atmosphere and outdoor seating if available for a light cocktail hour.

Beautiful venue for any special occasion. Our daughter was married here on July 30th The food was wonderful. Only downside which was heard by a few of our guests was that the AC could have been bumped a. little lower at the reception for the dancing. It was a little uncomfortable for those trying to dance. Other than that, it was a beautiful venue!

My daughter has a contract with them for her wedding and was told she will get 100% back of her deposit due to the virus if she cancels by a certain date. Well, she decided to cancel cause there will be no dancing and no bar service. The venue never returned their calls and when they finally did, they only offered 50% back and said they never said that. Terrible business.

Came for my nephew's wedding reception, loved it! So impressed with everything, and the views.? Wow. (helps that the weather was perfect) One minor drawback, a few servers were kinda rude, like we were ruining their nights by being there. Most, though, were excellent. Overall, it was a wonderful evening.

Went to a function here and it was the location was fantastic. Beautiful setting across from the Flats on the river, and gorgeous building with awesome finishes. Really nicely planned and design, the industrial feel still has a warm and welcoming feel. Tons of parking, water taxi to the Flats right outside, and very easy to find and get to. Highly recommend.
