A wedding needs 100% focus to make it successful, and a planner who proactively communicates with the client pays attention to every single detail could do that. A wedding is made up of a few big things (food, venue, attendees, etc), and 1000 little things. Angie did not focus enough of her attention on our event. When it came down to the last few weeks - the lack of attention to details began to show and was worrisome, but we were too deep into the process with Angie to find someone else.
For example, we had planned to have 10-person tables, which dictated our seating chart, floral arrangements, linen rentals, and layout. A week before the event, we found out the tables only sat 6-8, causing everything to be changed. She failed to accurately communicate our instructions to the caterer and florist, didn't place pens on tables for guests to fill out advice cards, recommended a horrible videographer.
These are just a few examples of how the details of our special day weren't handled with the care or attention needed and expected from a professional wedding planner. It's been more than two weeks since our wedding. There's been no follow up whatsoever. We considered the wedding planning experience very personal - we shared our lives, hopes and dreams for the launch to our marriage with a stranger. To have no wrap up from Angie, or assistance dealing with the issues with missteps of vendors, is the saddest part for us.

We entrusted Sapphire Events, and the primary planner Angie, with one of the most important days of our lives. She did not pay sufficient attention to details and had zero recollection of important items we had asked her to handle. Once the wedding ended, she was no help in resolving issues with her recommended videographer All Digital (who claimed an "equipment malfunction" prevented him from properly providing services), florist (who forgot to pack and return items) and caterer (who claims Angie told them "not to worry" about providing contracted items). Would not recommend.

As someone who is very controlling, I was worried about giving in and letting someone else manage all the details of my wedding day. But, let me just say, I am SO glad I had Angie by my side throughout the entire process. From vender recommendations to handling all the nitty gritty details/contracts, she helped us navigate all corners of the planning spectrum with ease.
She also helped ensure that my vision came life, even though I have a very opinionated and stubborn mother. Truly cannot recommend her enough - if you are looking for an energetic, organized and knowledgeable planner, look no further! Angie is the best of the best, and I cannot thank her enough for the role she played making our wedding perfect!

Angie was our day-of coordinator for our wedding at the Broadmoor. Angie's relationship with the hotel staff and other vendors ensured that our wedding weekend went perfectly. I handed off the details to Angie a week or two out and didn't worry about a thing for the whole weekend. Angie was great to work with, responsive, and very knowledgeable about the industry. I highly recommend Angie for any wedding or event!
