I had a wonderful experience with Francesca's! A beautiful selection of gowns in a lovely space. Communicating with the shop was very easy, and I was so appreciative of being able to come in and try the dress on when it arrived, even though my wedding was still many months out (COVID-delayed wedding to blame). Alterations were also made easy by being available right in the store, and my dress looks perfect thanks to Marla. Thrilled with my dress and can't wait to wear it for my big day!

This is the best bridal shop in maryland! I went to a handful of shops and this was by far the most professional, the most friendly, and the cleanest! Francesca exudes professionalism and confidence. I trust everyone at this boutique immensely! When I first came in, I gave a very vague description of what I was looking for (I really didn't know what I wanted) and Francesca pulled several dresses out for me.

All of the dresses were stunning. I picked my dress and the whole process has been stress free and truly a breeze. The whole staff has been extremely accommodating to me with my busy schedule. They respond quickly via email and phone. The seamstress was phenomenal as well. It is clear that they care SO much that every single bride looks and feels beautiful in their dress. I know that I do! Can't wait to wear my dress for my wedding next week. I recommend Francesca's Bridal to all of my friends that get engaged! I can't thank them enough.

NEVER! I went here a few weeks ago and wanted to cry I was so upset. The person who was helping me was insensitive and appeared uninterested. She did not care what I had to say, my critiques, my concerns, or my interests. She did not even try to accommodate me. For example, when I said I did not like the dress, she didn't even ask why. The place is extremely small, apparently the dresses start at $2,000, they have no platform or place to change.

I was forced to stand up on a small stage, and strip behind a curtain. The staff did not even assist me in getting dressed or pinning me until I told her to pin me. I threw away the card with her name but she had a thick accent. I will tell EVERYONE to AVOID this place at all costs. Update. 1. I did not lie. The stage was tiny, poorly lit, and she barely helped me.

There was no separate room to change in hence having to change on the stage behind a curtain. Still awful experience. 2. The mention of 'accent' is to describe who I worked with as I no longer recalled her name. That is all.

My daughter and I had a fabulous experience here! We went to several bridal salons and Francesca's was by FAR the best store in the Baltimore region. They carry brands that aren't at every other shop and offer dresses at every price point. It's obvious that Francesca loves what she does. I was thrilled that we got to work directly with her.

She has a keen eye for picking the best style for a bride's body while helping her achieve the look she wants. She encouraged my daughter to try on many styles so that she would be 100% sure that she still loved what she had in mind. The dress hasn't come in yet so I can't speak to the fitting process, etc., but the selection and guidance can't be beat!

Francesca's is such a beautiful bridal boutique with so many options to choose from and all at reasonable prices! The staff is wonderful and made shopping such a great experience even during Covid! I decided to buy my veil from them and I cannot express how happy I was with it. They held it & kept it safe while I was moving and unpacking, they had it pressed and ready for my big day!

I had a wonderful experience at Francesca's Bridal. The shop is beautiful and had a great selection, and we felt very at ease with the safety measures currently in place. Kara was fantastic and thoughtfully pulled dresses that I loved. Highly recommend!

Made an appointment online for Francescas solely because I wanted to try on Amsale LWD. I even noted this in the survey I filled out when making the appointment. They never called to tell me prior that they carry only a fraction of the Amsale LWD collection and they only have one of each size. The size range that was available was mixed between 2,4,6,10.

It was really disappointing that this ready to wear line had no range in sizes to try like a normal bridal shop would - I couldn't even try on a dress I liked because I wasn't a size 4. I then tried on Amsale Nouvelle and same thing, only one size. I am sorry but having only one size to try on does not work. It wasn't a great experience and I recommend you find another shop in the area that carries Amsale if that is what you are interested in. By the way, no follow up after the appointment or anything.

We had a wonderful experience with Francesca's Bridal. During our appointment, we had their full attention and they actually pulled dresses that were spot on what we were looking for. The dress my daughter purchased was absolutely gorgeous! The only alterations needed were to a strap in the back.perfecto! Many thanks for making this experience a wonderful and memorable one. I will definitely come back with daughter #2 when the time comes.

Bought my dress from Francesca because it was highly recommended through friends. But don't let the owner deceive you. Dress was beautiful for the initial fitting. However, four months later, I was wondering where the dress is and I called the receptionist numerous times. Turns out, she works part time and you end up on the phone with someone new each time. Then, alterations for almost $800. Ordered extra lacing for the dress which they "couldn't find" in their store. Had to make three calls to get my money back. Disappointing business. Glad I went somewhere else for alterations and overall professionalism. If I were to go anywhere else for my dress and to spend my money it would not be through Francesca.

Just got married on 6/9. I had my dress appointment last May and it was wonderful! Throughout the year, Francesca's Bridal has been wonderful. Everyone is super nice and they would respond to emails or phone calls within a reasonable amount of time. My dress was better than I could have imagined. I received so many compliments on it throughout our wedding and it looked exactly as I imagined it would for my bridal look! Thank you to everyone at Francesca's!

My experience with Francesca's Bridal was incredible! Their salon was the first and only I visited. I did not need to look anywhere else! I had an idea of the type of dress I wanted, but did not have a picture because I never found one. I described my vision to Francesca and the first gown she brought me was the one. I was amazed how she did it first try!

I tried on a few other beautiful gowns just to be sure. I loved them all - the selection was great. Francesca is kind and professional. She made me feel so beautiful, and she was fun to work with. The entire staff was the same way. They were proactive in scheduling. When I had fittings, they had my dress already out for me in the fitting area. They were expecting me and ready. I recommend you head to Francesca's Bridal for the most beautiful gown for your day! You deserve the best!

We came here as part of a wedding party. The experience there was going well until we were fitted for our bridesmaids dresses. The took all of our dimensions just to use them to look on a chart. They told me I was a size 16. I told them they must be wrong and asked for a size 12 because I've never been close to that size. They told my sister to get a 4 when she normally is a 0, so she got a 2. 5 months later the dresses were finally ready.

We had to pay extra to get them shipped to our home, even though we already paid an exorbitant amount for the dress. They never answer their phone so getting a hold of them to proof the shipping address was a feat that took more than a week. When the dresses finally arrived, both were at least 5 inches too long, the size 12 fit perfectly besides for length, and my sister was swimming in the size 2. Ridiculous prices for dresses that were not fitted properly and had to be majorly tailored at our own expense.

I've had a great experience at Francesca's so far. I was treated wonderfully by both Francesca and her daughter Kara during my first appointment, when I fell in love with a Jim Hjelm gown. I immediately made a 2nd appointment to bring back my mom, sister, the veil, and given we live 1.5 hours away I planned to purchase it that second appointment as well (b/c I already knew it was the one!).

There was a hiccup - however it was handled as best as it could have possible been, which I very much appreciated. Long story short - the designer or distributor had marked the incorrect price on the dress, and the dress was actually way outside of my budget, which was heartbreaking. However, Francesca went above and beyond to contact the designer and make the situation right. Thanks Francesca! I have yet to schedule my fittings / alterations, but I look forward to working with them through this process.

I had such an amazing experience at this salon! They have so many beautiful dresses and I was treated like a queen! The staff is super helpful and friendly, especially Bettyann! I would definitely recommend coming here to find your wedding dress!

I had an amazing experience at Francesca's! I worked with Kara who was an absolute joy! I took a day off from work and went to three different bridal stores with my mom, two aunts, and maid of honor. Francesca's was our second stop so I was already a little tired and overwhelmed. Upon entering, I was immediately impressed with their selection.

The style was exactly what I was looking for--very glam, sophisticated, and feminine. Everything I had seen before was way too romantic and trendy but the dresses at Francesca's are timeless! I fell in love with a Matthew Christopher and ordered the dress from there. I also had tried on a veil and some jewelry that I liked so Kara helped me figure out when their next trunk show was so I could come in and purchase accessories at a discount.

I purchased my veil, a bracelet, and earrings there as well which are to die for! I also utilized their seamstress. She was so sweet and amazing! She made me feel totally comfortable and listened when I told her my concerns. They were also super helpful in scheduling my fittings as I live in Virginia so it was challenging to take off work to get up there.

Wedding dress tailoring services are expensive EVERYWHERE so I advise brides to know this ahead of time. I had a little sticker shock myself but when I talked to other recently married friends they said it was normal : My mom purchased her rehearsal dinner and mother of the bride dress at Francesca's Atelier as well. We love Francesca's and I would tell anyone looking for an amazing bridal experience to shop here!

Hi Ladies.think twice before you shell out thousands of dollars to this establishment. Once they get your money (up front) they could care less how bad the bride to be looks prior to your wedding day. The gown is only as good as the tailor. My wife and I paid thousands of dollars for a wedding dress from Francesca's using their own tailor and that was a huge mistake.

We tried to give them several chances to make it right by making several trips back to the Nottingham store so they could correct the gown but they didn't get it right so we were forced to go to another marvelous bridal salon (Couture in Gaithersburg, MD). Not even an attempt for a full or partial refund from the owner. This place almost ruined our wedding. If you must buy a gown from this vendor do not pre-pay for any tailoring work or use another tailor for alterations. Buyer beware!

Once I purchased a Fall 2013 Rivini dress for the princely sum of $2700, I had to get my gown altered, which cost $490 (taxes not included). I paid extra for tailoring because I wanted my dress to fit beatifully and wanted a French bustle. Although the seamstress was very kind, Francesca's was inflexbile about when and how I could get my dress tailored.

The appointments were very stressful and the salestaff left me alone with the seamstress who barely spoke any English. This communication barrier made getting the adjustments needed to my gown difficult. No one helped or provided any guidance and I never once saw the famous "Francesca" although the sales people were always running into the back to confer with her.

The day of my wedding, the $500 bustle broke and I was stuck hauling around a heavy silk gown on my wrist. In every wedding photo I am hanging on to this dress. My dance with my dad, my first dance with my husband. It made it hard to do the things you want to at a wedding: eat, drink, and dance. I called to complain and never heard back. Buyer beware.

There are many other places to purchase a wedding gown. And, for nearly $4,000, you'd assume Francesca would at least say hello or return my call about the poor tailoring. I want my money back, but more importantly, I don't want fellow brides to suffer the same fate.

Francesca's Bridal was truly God's sent. As I entered the shop an emotional wreck. Two weeks before my wedding needing a dress. Due to the original shop I ordered a dress 7 month earlier, did have my dress. Brittany greeted my coordinator & I with such kindness & compassion. Not only did she pull the perfect dress, she assured me it would be ready in 4 days.

Although the dress was over my dress budget. It was worth going over budget. It was absolutely beautiful and I felt like the most stunning bride my husband had ever seen. In the words of my bonus son (my husband son) Ms. Brenda your killing it! & sealed it with a kiss. It was a perfect ending to a horrible dress disaster. Thank you Brittany & Francesca's Bridal am forever grateful and Thank God for sending me your way.

I had a really bad experience here. First, they advertised on their web site that they sold Heidi Elnore but when I arrived I was told that her Build a Bride collection was not in yet and they said I should have called first. uh OK. Maybe their web page should have said "coming soon". Second, our sales lady said they did not have dresses, size 14, that they only go to size 12. I am a size 14 and she recommended that I go to a store in Columbia that sold "plus size". I was pretty taken back when she told me this. Very rude and stuffy service!

What a wonderful experience. I had been to two other salons before this one but the experience here blew the others out of the water. I made an appointment and Bettyann helped me. I came in not wanting any lace on my gown and she worked with me so well! She absolutely got what I was looking for, which no one else had understood yet. Even though she knew my mother wasn't in town and I wasn't going to buy anything that day, she treated me like 1st class anyway.

Both of the dresses I loved, she picked out. She was helpful in getting me in and out of gowns, and providing enough opinion but not too much. She was wonderful with my entourage and helping pick out some accessories to jazz up the gown. Bettyann followed up with me and I plan on returning soon! This was not our first wonderful experience with Francesca's.

My sister bought her prom gown there with help from Francesca herself and we looked for my mother's second wedding dress as well. We didn't buy my mother's dress there but we were also treated like princesses that time as well! I can't say enough good things about this salon!

Although I did not get my dress here, I had a great experience. My consultant, Brittany, was so attentive and played therapist for me as well as consultant. Beautiful dresses, great atmosphere, and wonderful attendants.

I was honored to accompanied my niece along with my sister-mother of the bride and my two sisters for an appointment at Francesca Bridal Salon. I was greeted with a welcome and hello. The ambiance was nice and cozy. My niece advised us to select a gown of our choice we would like to see her in. So we all made our selections and went into the dressing lounge.

We had a total of five gowns. We we advised that designer ( Paula Varsalona ) was lthere for a Trunk Show and my niece was about to put on a gown from Paula's collection. She tried on three beautiful gowns. We all love and could just envision her walking down the isle in any of them. But when she walked out the dressing rooms in a gown from Paula's collection it was a. KLEENEX moment. OMGoshhhhh. we all said yes to the gown.

I cannot begin to tell you what an awesome experience Francesca's provided yesterday. Our consult Francesca's daughter was very knowledgable, listened, and took her time with us and shared her options as well. To top it off how ironic our other consultant was none other the owner Francesca! Paula personally took my niece measurements how awesome was that!

I had the most wonderful experience at Francesca's Bridal on 2/6/15. This was our 2nd Bridal shop and we were really excited as my sisters and I accompanied my daughter. We arrived for our appt and waited for the rest of our party to arrive. We browsed through a few gowns and was escorted to our assigned fitting area. The first dress was beautiful and we felt she looked amazing.

The 2nd dress was even more amazing. Our 3rd selection was from the Trunk Show selected by Paula Varsalona, whom was very personable and more than happy to help with our selection. When my daughter came out, I immediately burst into tears as she looked beyond amazing, which had everyone in tears, incl my daughter. At that moment, we knew that was the dress.

We purchased the dress on the spot. I can't say enough about our experience as the entire staff went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one. Again, my heartfelt thank you to the entire staff as you made our day complete. I can't wait to go shopping for the rest of the family.

I cannot say enough about Francesca's Bridal. I never even thought of going there until my Wedding Planner suggested it. It isn't in an area where I'd expect to find high-end designer gowns. I'm so glad I went. We arrived for our appointment 2 days after Christmas. I had to take advantage of all of my Bridesmaids being in town for the holidays. Francesca herself personally helped me.

I am in the fashion industry. I've been a buyer and a sales rep for high end swimwear and surf apparel for over 13 years so I really have high expectations on service and selection. Francesca BLEW ME AWAY. Clearly she is an expert and literally after suggesting 3 gowns and analyzing my body language, taste level and style, she had me in a $7,000 Badgley Mischka gown that was MY GOWN - only I didn't know it yet.

We paraded out to my party where my sister immediately cried and when they flipped the lights off (We're having a black tie evening wedding at Ravens Stadium) the whole salon went "OOOOHHH!" But I had to be sure. My gals and I trekked up to NYC to the "typical" places. What a joke - and what junk. At least we had awesome food and did some sight seeing.

We got back into Baltimore at 11:00pm on a Friday night and I was back at Francesca's at 10am the next morning. She put me back in my Badgley Mischka gown, got me in the shoes and the veil and I had "my moment". I cried - my bridal party cried and we just knew it was the one. We were all offered champagne in crystal flutes and I HAD to get my photo with my fairy godmother, Francesca!

I wanted to write this review online so sophisticated and discerning brides know where to go. There is nothing like the service, sophistication, professionalism and industry knowledge that is offered at Francesca's anywhere else - not even in NYC!

I'll start with the good things. Francesca's has a great selection, is clean and easy to get to. However, from the moment we sat down for the showing, we found that we were not going to purchase here, no matter the find. Here comes the bride in a beautiful gown and out comes the camera. "Oh, I'm sorry, no pictures. boutique policy." Really?

No pictures. of the dozen dresses she's going to try on? Everyone knows that in order to really rule out or remember your favorites pictures are in order. Your favorite from the beginning can be ruled out by seeing them side by side. And we couldn't figure out WHY no pictures? If we wanted to take the picture to another boutique, all we'd have to do is notate the dress item number, or the designer and take it else ware. It was just so startling and it put us into a position of feeling almost unwelcome from the start that we could barely focus on the dresses.

Maybe I am a bit sentimental towards Francesca's Bridal as this was the first salon we stopped at to shop for my wedding dress, but the service and attentiveness I received here was definitely unique (even after my 18th bridal shop!). The staff was extremely attentive and we went through all sorts of styles, options, hairpieces/tiaras, etc. imaginable.

Equally important was the assistance I received while trying to put on these dresses--I did not have to struggle for a moment with a single broad & poofy ballgown. As a nice touch, a small stand of finger-foods (cookies and fruit) was offered. How dainty indeed!

I was actually told that I would not be allowed into the store until my scheduled appointment! At which point, I vowed to never step foot in there and to share this experience with everyone possible. First off, I left a message on their answering machine asking to make an appointment in a couple of days to find a wedding dress. 24 hours passed and I never received a call back - I had to follow up with them! Then, the day of my appointment, I was running a bit ahead of schedule so I called to see if someone would be available to assist me earlier than planned.

When they told me none of the attendants were free, I said I would just like to look around ahead of time before my appointment. I was told that I was not allowed to do so! I said "Excuse me, I think you misunderstood." and I was rudely cut off by the person on the other line who said "No, I heard you and you will not be allowed in the store until your scheduled appointment." At which point, I promptly asked them to cancel my appointment since I would not be doing business with them.
